I went to Smokey Js smoke shop to buy a vape product with nicotine inside called Flum Float Lime Romance. As I was purchasing a flum lime romance, the employee waiting to receive payment decides to open the package inside the store without asking me first which threw me off guard. I asked why he did that and he said he does this for every customer that comes into his shop. I payed no attention to it. When I left the shop I attempted smoking this product and then I started coughing which didn’t make sense. (*side knowledge* I know it’s bad for my health but I’ve been smoking this specific brand for 2 years so I’m confident on how it should feel when you inhale the smoke, if that makes sense) I realized there was something wrong so I kept trying to hit it and it kept making me cough. So I went to a friends house because I thought maybe it could be my health deteriorating so I asked him to hit the vape and to no avail, he was coughing too. Instinctively we both said at the same time that it’s a fake product. So we went back to Smokey J Smoke Shop together to confront the business. As I walked into the establishment it was the same vendor that sold me the vape. I requested a refund/replacement vape in the most respectful way I could think of because I wasn’t sure if they had done this on purpose or if this was unintentional. That’s exactly when the employee said we cannot refund products that have been opened and you left with. I lost it, because initially they opened the package inside of the store without my consent which already triggered a red flag in my head that something shady was going on, however I disregarded those prejudgments to give the business the benefit of the doubt. The employee then told me to leave the store before they call the cops. I didn’t want to cause any problems, I only wanted a refund/replacement and came with the understanding that I wouldn’t receive anything, however the aggressive response he gave made me assume this is all intentional. I’ve never in my life been disrespected and disregarded the way that this business treated me. I can always look over lack of respect and decency. However this is an establishment that is required by law to follow certain guidelines for the health and safety of the customers. What I felt today was the disregard for human life. Understandably I was angry with every right to be, however if you look at this from a third person perspective, and objectively, this business is breaking the law with immunity. If they think they got away with it through me imagine the countless other regular people that come here without a clue of what’s happening. Please, please investigate the claims I’ve made today. Yes it’s my word against theirs, and mine is subjective based on the experience I had at the store, however companies like this should not be allowed to choose when and when not to follow the law. Thank you for your time.
This is the message I sent to the city of San Diego, explaining the experience I had underwent at Smokey js. Don’t ever go here they sell fakes, fakes kill people.

I was looking at some incense and I was walking in and out of the store. The person working there got mad for that reason and told me to leave. The reason why I'm leaving this one star is not because he kicked me it out, it's because he was swearing (cussing) at me to leave.

well, went here to get two elf bars. right when i got in the guy was super friendly and showed the "elf bars" to me. we talked a bit and i asked him if he has a certain flavor. he made the comment "you might have gotten a fake one" saying that the flavor i wanted didn't exist. so, i bought two other flavors for $45. once i got home, i examined the box only to see that they were not even elf bars. they were complete fakes. i find it ironic how this man had the audi city to tell me my previous elf bar was fake, then proceed to sell me two overpriced fake nicotine devices. DONT GO HERE, you will be ripped off.

I just found out this location made an illegal charge to my card I'm not even in San Diego anymore and I just woke up and I found out that they made a charge to my card I'm trying to save every penny right now and these people are making illegal charges to my card imagine what would happen to you guys please be careful with your information to the owner of Smokey Jay's please look after your employees or the people that run your shops this is not cool how can I trust you guys anymore I've been telling people to go to your location for years now I'm gonna tell them to stay away from your location I don't care if it was a mistake I haven't shopped at your location for months and all of a sudden there's a charge on my card I'm sorry dude that's not cool in anyway shape or form
