EMPLOYEE NAME: KENIA
I tried to provide time for her to redeem her "unprofessionalism," and "discrimination," due to the fact someone believes in God and simply says "God bless you," which causes her to become more unprofessional.
My first encounter with Kenia (she was NOT wearing her name tag on this date) took place on 12/24/2023 at 9:12 a.m. when I walked into the Shells gas station, there were two customers ahead of me. The entire time, Kenia had an ear piece in her ear talking on the phone as customers were checking out. I could tell she had some sort of attitude by how she spoke to the gentleman in front of me. Once I stepped to the register, I politely asked if she needed to finish her phone call; she glanced at me angrily and displayed a gesture that she wanted to proceed to check me out. Another customer walked in, but, and stood in a distance that did not provide me with privacy. I am "always," aware of what's going on around me, especially with all the scams; etc. So, I turned to the customer and asked could I please have some space. They did not have an attitude about it at all. The only one displaying she had a problem was, Kenia. Who was still on the phone. She then looked at me, and said "no what, I'm not going to ring up your gas, go somewhere else.". I then responded, by stating I did nothing wrong. Kenia proceeded to try to get a reaction out of me, but, she failed. I asked if she was the manager, she stated yes. I then asked her how I could contact Corporate...she said she did not know. Then she said something in her language to the individual she was on the phone with and stated she was going to call the police. I said please do that I'm connected to the police. Before I walked out, I informed Kenia that her attitude was poor and unprofessional, and that I pray God blesses her. She stated she does not believe in God, and then said "no, God bless you.". I shared with her that no matter what, God still loves her. And I walked out to take a photo of the location (photo of gas station during the daytime: Incident took place on 12/24/2023 at 9:12 a.m.: photo has date & time stamp.??️)
I have come to this location several times and did not have any issues getting gas; they had on their name tags; were not on the phone; and did not mind me saying "God bless you!," or "Have a blessed day." My second encounter with Kenia took place on February 7th, 2024 at 7:31 a.m. (photo of receipt). On this date, she wore her name tag which was extremely important for if/when I needed to report her. I always want to ensure the "right," individual(s) are undergoing investigation; and receive disciplinary from their employers. On February 7th, 2024, one of the big bosses were onsite. Kenia was "not," on the phone; allowed me to get gas; and when I responded with "thank you, have a blessed day," she remained silent. I made eye contact with the big boss onsite to confirm he was not a customer. I was right, he was her boss, hence, the reason for her changed demeanor. I jotted a note on the receipt (seen in the photo) and made sure I wrote down her name for future references. Well, this last encounter is what's leading to this review. On February 10th, 2024 at 6:05 a.m. I arrived onsite and there were no customers. But, there was a huge gas truck blocking one of the entrances. I walked in and Kenia was chatting with a black male who had a clipboard and was the driver of the gas truck outside. Kenia was "NOT," wearing her name tag. If you review the video from that morning, you will see the male was standing in front of the card swiper. Kenia did not ask him to give me space. So, I politely asked him if he could back up twice, he said "sure," and I said thank you. Kenia then jumped in and said, "no, I remember you from last time. You were rude to me. Just leave."
I just looked at her & said God

As I walked into the service station's convenience store, I overheard a clerk loudly exclaim: "That makes me so mad I want to punch a baby."

Bryan was dealing with an angry customer and handled the situation with grace. He was very helpful and kind when I asked for directions. The bathroom was spotless and the window wash stations were clean with paper towels fully stocked. Bryan said no worries on the angry customer, "As long as I'm not getting robbed at gunpoint I'm good". Words to live by.

The gas pumps at this Shell station make you go through a series of advertisements and an attempt to get you to sign up for their rewards program---BEFORE you pump your gas. And the machines are incredibly slow...We're talking Windows Millenium Edition on a Packard Bell computer you bought at Albertson's slow. After I declined all the ads, the gas pump crashed, and I could not pump gas. Are you even kidding me, Shell? LOL. Who programmed your gas pump advertising software? Was it interns you hired from Fiverr? I went to Chevron. I'm never going to another Shell again. It's always something with Shell...Their bathrooms are always "broken" or just plain nasty. The gas pumps are slow or full of obnoxious advertising. And Shell's convenience stores are often poorly stocked with expired and dirty goods. No thanks.

This shell Gas station is by far one of the worstCustomer service station in San Diego. It is located on the Clairemont Mesa Blud, on a road that has little or no maintenance at all. On a Friday afternoon I drove over a large pothole and popped my front and rear tires on the driver side. Conveniently front of this establishment. So I pulled in to this gas station to not damage my vehicle any further. The gas attendant after a few hours asked me to remove myself from the business because I was an inconvenience and that they would have my vehicle towed. Wow it's a service stations I understand if I block a gas pump but I was near the 24 hour water and air compressor. This gas station is a joke and should be avoided at all costs. Lady at the counter was absolutely horrible, rude, and heartless.

Hit or miss. I prefer not to go in. Have had some weird customer experiences. A clerk once literally threw my change at me and had to bend down and pick it up from the floor. Bad. Pretty degrading. Now I just use a card at the pump so I don't have to go in. The car wash works great. Only 12 bucks for their top tier wash.

Gas prices didn't really bother me, I kmow they don't have much control over it, but the bathroom was out of order and the cashier was on a 30 minute break. I bought a car wash, but my pump didn't issue a receipt. I went to call, but both the local number and the 800 number disconnected immediately. Needless to say, I was greatly disappointed. My time is worth more than $20/hour, so that $10 lost is what it cost me to never want to do business here again...
