Seaside Preschool is such an amazing community and school. A previous reviewer commented about having to start at Bayside in order to get admitted into Beachside. My kids did not start at Bayside prior to enrolling at Beachside as toddlers. We moved from North PB to UTC after my son had already started at Seaside, but we've kept him there and recently enrolled my daughter because we love it so much. The staff are incredible and truly care for our children as if they are their own. They take the curriculum seriously and it's very obvious preparing these kids for Kindergarten is super important to them. They do two parent teacher conferences each year, even in the toddler class, which I truly appreciate as a parent and as a child development specialist myself. All the parents are really close and have become some of our best friends. I truly cannot recommend this school enough and am more and more impressed with Seaside everyday.

This school is absolutely amazing. The staff and teachers are so patient and sweet. My wife and I love this place and would recommend to anyone with young kids.

Do not waste your money going on the waiting list for this preschool. The way they fill spots in this school is that they essentially make you put your kid into the less desirable "bayside" location which is literally on maybe the busiest cross section in Pacific Beach and la jolla with constant traffic smog and noise all day within few feet of the playground and a very thin fence that a runaway car would easily plow through. After you kid spends some time there and they have a replacement for them in the less desirable location, they offer to transfer your kid to the better located seaside location. We have been on waiting list for seaside location for much longer than some others who decided to put their kid in bayside and now they are being moved to seaside (we are happy for them and sympathize that their kid did the time in bayside). But we are no longer are planning to put our kids in either of these 2 schools as we are not comfortable with the ethics of these types of business practices. Just beware if you are applying and spending time and money going on waiting list for this preschool. Do not do it unless you are willing to first put your kid in the "bayside" or "roadside" location. This is not at all a reflection of teachers and workers there whom i am sure are great we just feel it is deceiving to take peoples money and time to put them on waiting list for a school that they will essentially never get to go to unless they are willing to send their kid to another less desirable school first ... this should be clearly explained prior to application and fees.

We loved Seaside! My girls started in the Toddler room and left after PreK! The team is so loving, the school is so warm and welcoming. The playground is a dream! My kids grew into independent little people ready for elementary. We loved all our teachers and were so sad when it was our time to move on. Seaside Beachside is Family!

Our two children attend the Bayside location and we absolutely love it! The teachers are AMAZING, and the directors are very supportive (and friendly!). The space is set up just right, with a wonderful, large outdoor learning area. It is a warm, and welcoming environment from day one. We are so glad we found Seaside, and couldn’t be happier!

We were excited to tour this place for our baby that just turned 1. Having 9+ months before we want to join we were basically told to get lost by whoever answers their email. Informing us they have a waiting list of over 50 and are baby would never get in their school before kindergarten.
