I love Scan Furniture, it is just my style of furniture and accessories. I purchased bedroom furniture and an electric recliner. I'm happy with all of the quality furniture, the sales people were excellent as well as the delivery people!

We had an amazing shopping experience at Scan Furniture House. Their selection of quality, customizable contemporary furniture was fantastic. Their furniture IQ, expertise, experience and creativity helped lead guide and direct us to furnishing the home of our dreams. We greatly appreciate all their help, customer service as this was a huge project which turn out spectacular. Everything from selection to delivery was top notch. I have read glowing reviews about this company and until this week I agreed with them. About six months ago I put a 50% deposit on a beautiful couch. I expected to wait with supply chain problems. In the last few weeks I would call and be told that delivery was imminent. I told them I was going to donate my couch to make room and they said go ahead which I did. This week when I called the normal store number I got the message that the number was disconnected with no forwarding. The website showed another and when I call it just rings and rings. I see the message that they lost their lease. The website shows email contact which I have done numerous times since Tuesday and have had no response. There are only two things that could have happened. One they ripped me off for my deposit. The other is that they are between moves and too busy to call me and explain the circumstances. I'm hoping that it's the second. If it is then it's some of the worst customer service that I have ever encountered. This is the opposite of my earlier experiences. I have been a customer for several years and even planned on furnishing the rest of my home using their goods. Does anyone reading this know how I can contact Mike?

I have worked with Scan before, but when I called twice last month to inquire if they could please send out a few business cards for our file and to give to a family member, Tom took my address (2nd call) and again NO cards were received.This was important to us and wish their customer service was as good now as in the past.

I come from a furniture family. My father made his living owning 2 retail stores in the 70's so I know furniture.I found Scan to have cold unfriendly staff. when I called because their suite number on Google was the same as at Woodbridge, the woman on the phone had a real attitude. I told her I was at the pyramid. She snapped back, "we are not in the pyramid, we are scan furniture" I have lived in La jolla since 1978, before that center even existed. We reference the center as the pyramid. Anyhow, beyond her cold disposition, the store was more of a warehouse feel with designer showroom pricing. Their "Sale" is just another typical furniture industry ploy to create sense of urgency. The furniture on the floor was ordinary and lacked substance.enough said

My wife and I have been shopping at Scan for the last decade plus. We have furnished several rooms from them and have always been impressed with the quality of their products and their ability to stand behind them. Excellent products, excellent service- we wont be going anywhere else.

I would give this store a 0 if possible. They were delivering furniture to our neighbor's house and while pulling up their large moving truck, hit our basketball hoop to the ground causing damage (we saw it on our cameras). The company just picked up the hoop, put it back, and never contacted us about damaging it. When we noticed the hoop was broken, we looked at our cameras and saw it was a Scan truck. We've contacted them multiple times about it, but they claim no responsibility even after being sent the videos. They told us it was our fault because we had a basketball hoop pushed up against the sidewalk in our cul-de-sac. Do not shop from at a company who will not take responsibility if their product is poor quality or their workers cause damage to your property.

We recently began and completed a renovation of a condo in San Diego. Next we needed furnishings.Glad we found Scan Furniture House. The owner and staff were extremely helpful providing ideas and recommendations. Ultimately we purchased almost all of what we needed at Scan. Very fair prices and excellent service and delivery. Would highly recommend.

Not transparent about return policy--bought a desk (available online at multiple stores) but found it did not match--Scan refused an exchange--in researching the identical office furniture at other locations all had the capacity for exchanges. In review of the testimonials they are that--essentially selected reviews, not the same as a real review and nowhere on the website listed a return policy. That having been said the furniture is great in general but you may easily find the same brands elsewhere (even online after seeing them in the store) and shop more confidently knowing that there is sales support.

We have shopped all the contemporary furniture stores in the area over the past 12 months and continue to go back to Scan Furniture House. Mike has always treated us with great respect and excellent service. We experienced a minor manufacturing defect which was handled promptly. We highly recommend Mike and Scan as have quality lines and have delivered service and support expected. Heading back to purchase the next items shortly.

This place was awesome. Great showroom. Their salesperson Laura was really nice and had an answer to all my questions. She really knew about the merchandise. Fair prices too! I will come back.
