Drove an hour and a half to go here the first time. We had a great time going down there, it was definitely worth the drive. It's been a couple hours in there and didn't even see everything there. I would definitely recommend this to anyone looking for a place to spend an afternoon.

I came for one item, and ended up staying most of the day. My experience here ended up giving me another hobby. I think next time I’ll hit up Modern Times first, then head on in for some vintage hunting. This place is amazing. Well worth a trip here!!

Definitely a great place to walk and search for treasures.Dolls, ornaments, coins, history, housewares, clothes, furniture, religious items, signs, decor, art, jewelry, you name it... it's located behind the sports arena right as you get on to Rosecrans in Point Loma.

This was my first time visiting a vintage market, and I was truly amazed by the variety of interesting items I came across!Every booth had its own distinct charm, and while there were no pushy shopkeepers, they did leave their contact information for inquiries. From cups, globes, and rugs to old film rolls, lamps, artwork, books, and countless other decorative pieces, the selection was eclectic and captivating.Though some of the prices were a bit on the higher side for my budget, I have to admit that the experience was eye-opening even if it was just for browsing. They also had parking spaces available right outside the entrance, which was convenient.Overall, a wonderful place to explore and discover hidden treasures!

Absolutely love this place. Can spend hours here. Have to always resist spending too much money. If you want to find something, anything, quirky or vintage, some booth here will have it. Everyone who works here or has a booth seems super nice and helpful. An institution.

I'm a bit disappointed here lately. Since the estate sellers use this as their fixed location, the prices seem very high to me. I saw several things I would have bought but prices were over what I would have paid for each piece. It's a huge space and lots of stuff but I couldn't even find a thing for me that was fairly priced. I've been many times but my last visit was so disappointing it will be a long while til I go again. I'm sure it depends on what you're looking for.If you like to browse things from past decades, this is a great place.

This is the first antique store I've ever gotten lost in. To say it is massive is an understatement. If you love antiques, this is a place you need to see before you die. Prices are elevated but not unreasonable for San Diego. Staff is friendly and helpful, and genuinely knowledgeable. Love.

Really great place, extremely diverse and eclectic with nearly everything that you can think of from mid century on. Not a lot of antiques per se, but there are a number of them. Certainly some of the oldest things I've seen were elder typewriters and shaving kits from the early 1900s, but a predominant amount of the items were probably from the 1950s and on. Really nice place and quite large with music playing overhead and also has an outdoor section where you can pick up some of the healthiest plants I've ever seen in years. Additionally, it appears that you can get photos custom framed here too. I think that's really interesting, and I've never seen that at an antique store before.

I recently had an unfortunate experience at Kurtz Street Antique Store in San Diego. The moment I walked in, I was greeted not with a welcoming smile but with an uncomfortable situation. I carried a tote bag, just like many others in the store, that served as my purse, and I was abruptly told to leave it at the front.Although I may look younger than my age, being 30 years old, I was taken aback by the condescending attitude of the staff member who referred to me as 'sweetie'. It seemed as if the request to leave my bag at the front was more of a judgment on my perceived age than a standard store policy.I complied and went through the inconvenience of carrying my iPhone, notebook, and tape measure by hand. Navigating through the store was challenging, as I had to constantly juggle between my items and viewing the products on display. It was also disappointing to notice several other customers around me carrying bags of the same size, or even larger, with no objection from the staff.Feeling perplexed, I approached the staff to discuss this inconsistency, explaining that it was difficult for me to shop without my bag. I expected understanding, perhaps even an apology. Instead, I was met with rudeness. The staff firmly refused my request and did so publicly, causing me great embarrassment and distress. I left the store, reduced to tears in the parking lot.To me, shopping, especially in an antique store, is an adventure filled with curiosity and excitement. However, my experience at Kurtz Street Antique Store was nothing short of a nightmare. Instead of fond memories of discovering precious gems from the past, I am left with a bitter memory of the store's unwelcoming atmosphere and disrespectful staff.I believe in fairness and respect, two basic pillars of customer service that were unfortunately missing during my visit. I hope the store addresses these issues and treats all customers equally, without discrimination. I truly don't want anyone else to have a similar upsetting experience.I also remembered I brought this same bag in the previous week when shopping with my father no problems then.
