I can’t express enough how amazing my experience has been with San Diego Harley-Davidson. From the moment I walked in, I was welcomed by an incredibly friendly and helpful team. Every single staff member was approachable and genuinely enthusiastic about helping me find the right bike. But the real standout in my experience was Eric, who went above and beyond to help me find my first motorcycle—a Harley-Davidson iron 883. Thanks to Eric, my journey into the world of motorcycling started here, with him. and I couldn’t have asked for a better guide.
Eric is truly fantastic. He took the time to understand exactly what I was looking for, what I was comfortable with, and even helped me explore options I hadn’t considered. He made sure I felt confident in my choice without ever pressuring me, and his patience and knowledge made the entire process so enjoyable and stress-free. For anyone out there like me, who’s new to motorcycles and not sure where to start, I highly recommend reaching out to Eric. Instead of endlessly searching online or feeling uncertain about what’s right, take a trip to San Diego Harley-Davidson and let Eric show you the ropes.
He has a way of finding exactly what you’re looking for—or maybe even a bike that’s better than what you had in mind, at a price that works for you. I’m honestly so grateful that my first bike-buying experience happened here, with this team. The excitement and sense of adventure I’ve gained through this has been incredible. I can confidently say that if I ever purchase another Harley, I won’t think twice about going back to Eric.
Thank you, San Diego Harley-Davidson, for making this such an unforgettable experience. And to anyone thinking about getting into motorcycles, especially a Harley—do yourself a favor and start here. You won’t regret it!

I have been a loyal customer of this dealership for the past ten years, so it somewhat pains me to have to write this negative review. By loyal customer I mean that I have purchased four bikes here, and done ninety-five percent of my accessory purchasing and maintenance here as well.
Earlier this year I purchased a brand new FatBoy and several associated accessories. One of those accessories were quick-release saddle bags. I have now had two sets of these bags on my bike, because, quite frankly, they are garbage.
The first set of bags started falling apart after about a month/1,000 miles. The seal inside the opening of the bag started to pull away from the main body. This was clearly a manufacturing defect, and I brought it to the attention of the dealership immediately. I was surprised to receive blowback about this, as well as claims that this was not a warranty issue. The associate helping me said she needed to find another problem with them to file a successful warranty claim. The second set of bags started showing signs of failure within a few days. On the back side of the bag, where the fabric folds over, it is held together with a glue or epoxy, and it is peeling away from the back of the bag. This has resulted in a sloppy look, sticky residue, and the implication of further problems. I again brought this to the attention of the dealership, and the maintenance tech I was working with agreed that this is not right. I was promised a full refund of the bags, mounting hardware, and associated labor costs to do the install. The GM has other ideas.
The GM contacted me, at my request, and he came out of the gate hot. He claimed that the dealership had bought this second set of bags for me (a contradiction from what I was previous told), and that it was a mistake as the other bags were "functional." With all due respect, saying they were functional was like saying a 20 year old towel still works. Yeah, it does, but that doesn't mean it's up to standards. He also claimed that the impending signs of poor quality on set number two are not a problem and standard. He continued to state that everyone but me loves these bags. False. The online reviews are horrible, and focus mainly on quality defects and structural failures.
He continued to insult me by saying that my opinion is invalid and that I as a person do not matter. I am quite confident he never would have spoken to my husband, or any man, in this manner. I pointed out that his accessory and service techs agreed with my assessment, and outlined the removal and refund I had been promised. He told me that he would not honor this promise because he had no interest in maintaining my business. I hate to inform him that his techs did remove the bags and hardware, so I guess the ball is in his court regarding whether he wants to refund me or wait for legal action to be taken.
I went on to point out additional recent service failures. On two occasions I was told I could drop off or pick up the bike as early as 0800. On the first occasion I showed up at 0830, but no employee arrived to open the shop until 0900. On the second occasion I arrived at 0915, but no one showed up until 1000. When I relayed these experiences he called me a dumbass and said that the service hours were on the website and that I should not trust the verbal relay of hours from his staff. Well, again, I hate to break it to him but when you go to sandiegoharley.com and visit the service menu it says they open at 0800 7-days a week. Screenshot attached for his reference. But yeah, I'm the dumbass. Additionally, I told him that I dropped off my bike at 0800 for an 1100 appointment I was told would take a maximum of 3 hours. I reasonably expected to receive a call around 1400. Nope! at 1945, 11 hours and 45 minutes after dropping it off, my three hour project was completed. The GM response was that these estimates do not matter, nor does my personal schedule.
Needless to say,

Shady sales tactics, dishonesty, lack of integrity. STAY AWAY!!!
I called this dealer to inquire about a great current promotion being actively advertised on their website’s homepage ($0 down, 0% APR) and asked if the bike I was interested in was eligible for the promotion. The salesperson assured me that it was. I asked if they sell their bikes at MSRP and was also told yes that they do and was asked to schedule an appointment to head down to San Diego from Orange County to make the deal happen. I was so excited to get down there and pick up my dream bike and decided to use some PTO on Friday to get down there.
During the week leading up to Friday I asked to get the terms of the deal in writing (both email and text) so that there would be no confusion and I would be sure not be waste my time going all the way down there on false promises (I know how some SoCal Harley dealers operate). I rode my trade in bike down there in traffic, my girlfriend drove separately- she wanted to be there on this exciting day.
I could go on and on about the 4 hours we spent in there and different tactics used to try to get me to sign, but to make a long story short, they did NOT honor their word and insisted they could not get anywhere close to that deal that was previously promised. Tried implementing dealer mark ups, high interest rates, etc. Also to be noted- my credit score is >800 so there would be no reason for me to not qualify for the lowest rate.
We then had to drive and ride back up to OC that night and wasted our whole day. Love the bikes but dealers like this are driving me away from the Motor Company. Horrible.

Nothing more to say but outstanding all around. From the moment you walk through the door it’s an amazing experience at San Diego Harley. I’ve been to a lot of Harley Davidson locations and this particular one is the real deal. Great staff and great owner. In particular Eric was a huge help through the whole process. Made the experience an easy one. 10/10 would recommend. For all my fellow military folk this place is the place to go for your Harley, Eric is also the Military Liaison and will share the benefits you can get with San Diego Harley! Thank you SD Harley!

STILL WAITING FOR MY MONEY THAT THIS HARLEY DAVIDSON TOOK!!! So this is a traveler beware post. I traveled to San Diego by myself. One of my favorite places to visit is the local Harley Davidson Dealership. I took an Uber from the hotel and walked in to smile and greetings from the staff. Then, one of the worst customer service experiences i ever had began. I got my things and brought it up to the cash no one around finally after 10 mins Lily came out from the back. i used my Visa Debit card and thats when the issue started. Their card machine wouldn't recognize my card So I entered my card in manually and their machine didn't recognize my transaction and then that's when Lily's attitude began I was trying to show her she's telling me call the bank I asked her to call her her machine company because it's showing that it came out of my account when I asked for her to give me some kind of information that says there I will not be charged she starts slamming the keyboard of the computer on the counter in front of me and starts yelling at me what am I supposed to do I have never felt so humiliated so embarrassed I had the money in my account my credit card company is telling her the payment went through she would not stop the only saving grace of my experience there was the sales manager that she finally called over he was polite considerate he understood where is Lily was making me feel like I should be ashamed of myself because my card didn't work and her machine didn't recognize it but yet the money is still out of my account I'm still waiting for that money to be returned. I have visited numerous Harley-Davidson dealerships throughout the world and never once have been treated with such disregard she didn't even show 1 oz of empathy for me Lily was her name don't forget it and I hope your experience was better than mine. Shame on you Lily at Harley-Davidson in San Diego

I recently bought my dream bike from Julián and couldn’t be happier with my experience with him. He was super thorough and kind when answering my MANY questions over the course of the few days I took to consider my purchase. I was very pleased with the trade in value he offered on my old bike and felt the negotiations were fair and honest. The finalized purchase of my new motorcycle came with a guided tour of the whole dealership and all the departments for any future service/parts I may need. Julián and the whole San Diego Harley team were a pleasure to work with!

Julian was a true pro. He treated me with respect, was honest and forthright, and was the only reason I ended up riding away a happy customer. I purchased a bike that was on consignment, and Julian negotiated a killer price on my behalf and then made the transaction painless and fast. And when I noticed a problem after purchase, Julian made it right, on the house, when he absolutely did not have to do so. Thank you for the amazing bike and service.
