**They post fake reviews to push the real one to the bottom.....I've moved in after my husband had an accident and was left quadriplegic. After a month the fire sprinkler broke and staff put our flooded items in dryers without wringing them out, caused the dryers to catch fire burning everything. Director told me they don't have insurance to replace any items. They ignored 2 housing referrals from CES and threatened eviction. I had to place my husband into a nursing home because he's terminal. Today my kids were intentionally left out of f Christmas by the director herself because we are being evicted.. apparently that means they don't deserve presents or a home. We're dependent on case management because the referrals only come to them. So ignoring referrals and evicting us at Christmas is one thing but to deny a 10 and 8 yo presents that are donated is something completely disgusting
The photos show my missed referrals and how they let us go inactive most of the year. And emails show the director saying she intentionally left out my kids cause "we are no longer participants" " legal action" means they are evicting us without ever providing a resource and sabotaging our only option for housing .. there are 3 other families they are doing the same thing to.

I called to ask for details and the person who is supposed to answer declined my call multiple times. I would give no star if I could but that person is dangerous so I do not recommend anyone who is in need of help come here.

This place is a fraud to collect donations. I've been here over a year, currently being evicted. No resources, no classes, no therapy like they claim on their website. I have 2 kids and a terminally ill husband. I've been inactive on the housing list 5 times (even though I'm supposed to be unreachable for 90 days to go inactive). I live on campus and have hundreds of emails so I should have never been inactive. On top of that 3 referrals were returned to sender by mail. And 2 housing referrals were ignored by case managers. It's Jan and I've had zero case management since July. My unit was flooded which ruined all electronics and the clothes and toys they stick in a dryer without ringing the water out 1st door whatever want ruined by water burned down in the fire they caused. Nothing was replaced. I was told they don't have insurance. ...Dec 13th I notice all the other families were asked to sign up for Christmas gifts. When inquiring about my children the director Heather St Aimee told me that because they were evicting us to the streets my kids couldn't have any donations. So my kids agreed 8 and 10 witnessed every child get gifts except them. Everything I say I can confirm in an email because she was kind enough to put in email that my kids were ineligible for donations because they were evicting us she also included the fire in an email and all of my screenshots from the housing program that they blatantly ignored the referrals for I have no problem proving everything I say these people are not good people they're horrible people I came here with way more than I'm leaving with they don't care about my kids my dying husband or anything and I have done nothing we don't break the rules or not causing them problems they just don't like me. I was told that I'll be better off when my husband dies because it'll be a less burden I was told that I am milking the system because my husband became terminally ill and quadriplegic and I entered into homelessness for the first time in my entire life and use public services. I've been treated like garbage since I've been here we've never received a donation or anything from these places I've witnessed them take donations that people have dropped off and immediately take to the garbage I've witnessed death take donations to their vehicles personally I have photos of the director taking boxes to her car at christmas but denied my kids any donated gifts that don't come from out of her pocket she denied them just to be mean and on top of that I walked into the lobby one day and the other staff members happily told me how many extra gifts they have in the back but still didn't offer my kids anything. I've watched other people's children get taken away I've witnessed a woman get kicked out while she was in labor and delivery I have watched them put a family of five three of the babies underneath 5 years old out into the streets while it was raining with no vehicle to even sleep in and no resources just locked him right out of their unit these people are not good people and I really wish I could do something to make you good people stop donating to them look into this charity a little bit deeper

I'm currently staying at the door of Hope I've been on the coordinated entry system for 2 years of that 2 years I have been removed as inactive five different times I've had two housing referrals go completely ignored and I have screenshots to prove it I have had no case management since July and they tried to lock the doors on me but I made them go through the legal process because they cannot just lock a door on somebody after I've been living here for a year and a half I have a terminally ill husband and two small children at Christmas time they intentionally left my kids out of getting toys donated not coming from their pocket and they didn't tell me until the 18th of December so that I couldn't sign up for anything else because it was too late so every kid in the apartment got a toy but mine and I have an email to prove the director saying that it's not her problem today I am adamantly looking for low-income housing for my family and I'm calling everything that I put my cell phone waitlist-wise and three different apartments have told me that they sent me letters to this address and that they were to return to sender I've also had my public housing email sent back I've had my IHSS mail return to sender I've had my bank returned to sender. When I address the situation all they tell me is my bad human error I've been on the CBS news I've gone to the department of Justice the housing commission HUD the mayor city councilman the director the director of homeless services for salvation army San Diego. They've denied my housing referrals that come to me from the city because I have to go through case management to get them they're refusing to case manage me but refusing to take their name off of my case so I can have another case manager their intentionally sabotaging me so that I'm left to go nowhere but the street. Everybody donates and everybody thinks these places are so great and holy because their churches no they're the biggest crooks we don't get anything I've never been given a blanket a T-shirt nothing from this place no food I do everything myself they charge me rent on top of that even though my husband is 24-hour care dependent I'm not allowed to have a respite worker come in I'm not allowed to have help with my kids nothing so I am left to my own with no help and then they have all these requirements that they want you to complete but they don't do anything to help you. Just the fact that they would leave an 8-year-old and a 10 year old out of Christmas and make them witness every other child get gifts but them tells you exactly what kind of people these are Heather St Aimee Maria Trullio Leslie and Megan these are evil vindictive crooks. They have no good intention the only time they're nice to people that live here is when the donators come and feed us at Christmas time or Thanksgiving if you get invited they'll be nice to you at that time but that time only. I am not going to stop fighting until I can get my story out. They do not get to do this to me and my kids they mess with the wrong one and I can tell the lady who donated her stuff here they throw that in the trash everything that's donated to the salvation army at that back bend or at the front desk goes the next day straight to the dumpsters just so you guys know you're probably better off donating somewhere else if you truly want the people you're donating to to receive the items we don't get none of that we get spoiled food with gnats on it and that's just left on a table in the front if you grab it in time you can have some that's about the most amount of help you're going to get I've never been case managed I've never had a housing plan nobody's ever given me a referral nothing and I have evidence for anybody who would like to see

I stayed in the 90 day program, got a really good job after 3 weekks of being here, was hoping to be offered to stay longer with my 2 kids, but because I couldn't take time off work to meet and talk about possible housing the are asking me to leave ,this place claims they want to help but as soon as I started working I was pretty much counted as not communicating my needs,my need are housing and I don't understand how I am going to apply to places with no income,it's a Neverending cycle and they help the one that don't work more then they do the ones who do,it's not right.i speak with an interviewer with kusi tomorrow and I hope to shed some light on what happening at this location, more could been done on every end but I think it's crazy once I started working they just stopped helping, getting up at 5am to get my kids to school and my self to work, getting home late, the place not telling me I could meet with a night case manager or if it was even a option,if they seen me struggling just to keep work you would think the would help me in the right direction, but no they're asking us to leave today and I don't even know if I have another place to go to with me and my two kids,i don't know who made the decision for me and my family but I no it's not the right one,if places like this can't keep you down and out of work then it's like they don't want to help you.

Over a week ago I donated 2 1/2 bags of women's clothing to the door of hope. When I approach the receptionist I told her I would like a donation receipt , she said she'll mail it to me. It's been over a week I never got my donation receipt Called several times and left a messages. No one returned my call. FinallyI Talked to receptionist yesterday and explained that I haven't received my donation receipt. She was very argumentative, and she said she mailed it but it hasn't come. I requested another donation receipt, so I'm hoping it'll be in the mail this week. I don't understand when I came over a week ago why the receptionist didn't give me donation receipt at that time. I'll think twice about donating again.
