We've probably Came here 5 times already 'coz of my son's SCHOOL FIELD TRIP. The STAFF here are nice. Parking here can be tough to find here 'coz the place also has a Swimming pool next to the Ice skating rink. Also, they have a small Cafeteria at the Entrance, good coffee before Ice Skating is good to boost Energy! This Ice rink is Big and Fun, sometimes the staff come in to Help beginners with basic things to help them Learn how to Skate. Pay once and you can skate all day!

Anyone who knows me, knows I'm down to watch a game of hockey... whether it's NHL, AHL, or... beer league hockey! The first thing I noticed is, how cold the air is (I'm used to visiting rinks at malls, where the air is warm). The cold air and cement/metal benches make me shift around a lot- but how much fun do you think I have, watching from floor-level, the guys or the puck hitting the plexiglass in front of me? The energy is amazing! Starting times for games range from 7PMish to like 11PM, and sometimes there's three games back-to-back with a quick Zamboni in-between. So, I easily get my fill while enjoying a low-key (read: inexpensive!) night here. It's going to be a bit of a sad day for me when the season ends, but then I'll be posting adventures from the beach and other spots up north instead. I'll be chronicling day-to-day living and dating without relying on a vehicle. Stay tuned! :) Pros: - lots of parking - well-maintained ice - clean, spacious restrooms - open seating - adult hockey, kids stuff, private parties, etc Cons: - uncomfortable seats - very cold (now I know why another chick brought a blanket!) - must wear mask at all times but rules are rules

I love how organized, clean and well maintained this ice rink is. My kids are taking lessons there and I am impressed. Both kids coaches are nice and give easy to follow instructions. We also attended free skate and it was enjoyable.

Great ice and good locker rooms, pick up hockey is hit and miss during the 1230 work week. Usually one goalie, but been there plenty of times no goalies.

This review is for the theater and the ice arena which is what I have experienced. I was able to see a middle school theater production and the theater facility is beautiful! I had my daughters 9th birthday at the ice arena and it was amazing. I purchased the "On the Boards" package at a very fair price. You are able to bring in all your own food and decorations. They set up tables for your guests and there are trash cans in the party area making cleanup a breeze. Loved the party and it was perfect for summer to cool off.

i am a fan of this ice rink. My son has been skating at SDIA (mira mesa) for over a year, and we play games all over town. As a viewer, this rink is one of the most comfortable rinks in town. Not too cold and has benches to sit on. As far as the ice goes...my son said he likes to skate on the ice here.

Don't bother going to a stick time unless you can get there 2 hours early. My friend and I went for a stick session and arrived about an hour and 20 mins before the actual start time and were told its full. I'm sure they don't care because they sold out to their capacity but its seriously f***** up for the people who sit in traffic to get there. They should have some info on their website that says arrive at a certain time or something.

Spent $10 in gas and tolls and an hour of my time traveling to Friday afternoon pickup just to be told they sell all the spots to pickup games. That's not pickup hockey, that's a hockey club.

This is one of the best ice rinks in San Diego. The ice is well-maintained and everything is very clean. Also, they're one of the few rinks that leave snacks and drinks for the refs during hockey tournaments :) we appreciate it!

The facility is beautiful and well maintained, the ice is outstanding. My issue is with the fact that they don't have soap in the bathrooms. It's disgusting to even think about.
