A little surprising that a salon with such great reviews has such poor communication and tracking for their business.Supposedly, it is not the correct action to book an appointment online. Because when you do they will tell you when you walk in that you should not have done that and good luck.They have a perfectly open booking portal online and when I asked what would be a better method to schedule, since their online portal is not the way you should do it, A very nice woman had zero answer. There's many ways to track appointments for your business however I think this is a skill that is shockingly lacking in a centrally located hair salon in downtown San Diego.

They call me to do electrical service and the other suite Next door Because they had some issue with the dryer circuit so i went there for the first time and the guy in this alone when i walked in into the salon because there is or the soap canal is feeding the Two suites he started geeline me and telling me that i was garbage saying like the other electrician the prior electrician and he was talking to me like so loud And rude That's a Threat I thought he was gonna punch me and the face in any time I was ready to defend myself And i'm thinking to take him to court with the video I have

I could not recommend Salon de Marcus more! After living all over the world for the hotel industry, this has been my favorite salon, ever, and I was so fortunate as to live right upstairs. I now live hundreds of miles away in Ventura, but am already hoping to book an appointment, as no one seems to offer the same level of service, friendship, and comfort, anywhere in Southern California. Thank you, Marcus!

Really nice ending to a day. I sat down in the chair and Marcus offered me a drink and I said OK he said would you like I ? I asked ,what do you have? He said would you like a shot of tequila or a shot of vodka? Put a smile on my face took away the whole snooty vibe that salons usually have but still with all the elegance and atmosphere that the salon downtown should have. anyway his energy was super nice to put it mildly plus he did an awesome job on my hair did things I would not have expected to look good but he went with his intuition anyway Marcus here's to many more haircuts with you bud :)

I had Jaimie do my hair. She did a rose gold balayage, she cut and styled my hair. Mind you, this was the first time i have ever picked such a bright color for myself. I have always stuck to darker colors cuz my hair ris pretty dark and was afraid i would hate it if i got a light color. But omg! I was so wrong! I love it!

BE WARE!!!!!!!! Very disappointed with Sanaz Pri @microblading.sandiego. DO NOT go to her to get your micro blading. You will spend a lot of money and endure pain only to last 3 months. From my first visit and touch up which I paid for (4 weeks after) the color has faded. I reached out to Sanaz hoping she would try and fix it, her response to charge me another "touch up $80". Don't waste your money and let her rip you off. She deserves zero stars.

I have very curly hair, medium length and was looking for a good curly hair specialist. After much research I came across Marina, and boy I am glad I did. I had other stylist in the past really mess up my hair (cutting too much, wet haircut) so my hair looked like a huge ball. It might be cute to some, but it's not the style for me. First of all Marina was easy to get in contact with, I was able to schedule an appointment in a timely manner. Upon arrival to my appointment, she was super nice, professional and really really took the time to know my hair. She asked me lots of questions. She gave me a dry haircut, meaning she separated my hair in sections and cut curl by curl. Once finished, she shook my hair and shaped it. She always asked me before cutting my hair, to make sure it wasn't too short for my liking. I left the salon feeling and looking great! I totally recommend her and no one will be touching my hair unless is Marina. It's really hard to find someone that KNOWS curly hair, I am glad I found her.

Marcus is an artist. He is the best stylist I have ever been to. He is a master at both cut and color. To say I'm a satisfied customer is an understatement.
