Where do I start? I booked a room last minute on Expedia. This was the closest place from Barrett Lake. My boyfriend and I were exhausted to drive back home from our fishing trip, so we decided to stay for the night. When checking in, I was greeted by Mark who was very nice and informative. But stepping foot into the actual room, I was definitely taken back. It looked as if no one cleaned, besides making the bed. There was used soap already laid out. We kept the AC on while we went next door to grab a bite to eat. When we had came back, we noticed someone came into our room to somewhat clean it or at least lay out new stuff. Which is odd because at the lobby desk it says “we do not do room service”. Do not expect to get sleep, there’s lots of activity going on at nights maybe because it’s busy. People are checking in and out, understandable. But my main problem was the plumbing in our bathroom. Whenever we flushed, the water took FOREVER to fill back up so there was a loud water refill sound that went on for like 40 minutes after every flush. On top of that, a strong sewer smell started to fill the room. I will never stay here again. If I had known this place was ran down, I would’ve paid extra for somewhere a bit further. It sucks because it has potential. But the rooms definitely need A LOT of work. Also, bring cash if you stay here, they only accept a liability deposit for $100 cash. Which was not mentioned on Expedia.

Room was dirty and I asked the front desk if they can have someone vacuum it, since it’s trashed, I mean as soon as I open the door, nothing but pretzels and I don’t know what else, the bathroom trash had something wet inside of it, and nobody ever came to do anything about it! And don’t t be fooled when they say free breakfast, breakfast is cereal, you have two choices, Cheerios or Frosted Flakes! Not to mention how rude the front desk is!

The front desk staff does not care about their customer. I called to fix an issue in the room, they told me they would send someone up. After 20 min I called and they kept putting me on hold. I walked downstairs and asked when this would be fixed, they told me 1 hour. I asked for a different room and even though there was plenty of rooms they said they wouldn’t give me a different room.It’s kind of sad the employees don’t care about the customer, I asked to speak to a manager and she said you can not talk to the manager.Overall, depressing when people don’t care. Hotels are customer service, the lady at the front desk doesn’t care. Too bad for Choice Hotels

The room is overpriced for the quality of service they offer, old carpet and furniture, no coffee maker in the room, I had to request basic supplies like shampoo and soap, the outside noise from the near freeway enters the room due to very old windows and building, is not peaceful and quiet place, I won't stay again in this hotel, not recommended.

Furniture is extremely old and damaged. No smoking hotel but the room smelled like cigarettes. Absolutely no towels. Used a hand towel to dry myself because that was the one and only towel provided.

This place needs more cleaning and attention. Rooms has a weird smell that was uncomfortable to sleep and the headboard was all dirty I believe from previous night. You could still see hand prints and AC had crumbs of food.. too pricey for low maintenance hotel.Nearby activities: There’s a plaza where you can get hot food and also ice cream.

At terrible hotels, dont stay there they don't tell you you need to pay the deposit in cash until you arrive, and you have to use the ATM outside even if it's rai ing

They charge a 100$ cash as a deposit if you book a room. It makes no sense.

The location is not good if you're walking, rooms aren't clean you will have to bring your own sanitizer and napkins be careful, rooms may not have shower curtains service is exactly a 3 nothing higher and calling in is a 3.5Rooms: Not clean

I was pleasantly surprised at the room I got at Roadway Inn. The price was so reasonable that I didn't expect the room to be so nice. And it was absolutely clean and in an area convenient to everything we needed to do. I will definitely stay there again when I am in San Diego. I was in room 104 with a king bed.

Absolutely disgusting.Room was dirty and sticky everywhere and there was hair in the bed. I asked to switch rooms and they moved to a room next to the laundry room, so I could hear the machines being run all night.Worst hotel experience in San Diego,

It is a place close to the airport in San Diego, USA. I would say it is not very safe. On the first day, a homeless person tried to enter through the window of our room. In a two-storey hotel, you can have a set breakfast of cereal, freshly squeezed orange and apple juice, followed by coffee. There is a small pool in the garden. There is a walking path just ahead. The city center is very close by car, about half an hour on foot.

Great value for the money. Its not fancy but VERY CLEAN and has a fridge, microwave and coffer maker in the room. The sheets are so soft! Its 15 minutes to Sea World and the beaches! Very easy access off I-8. I was VERY happy with my stay here. HEADS UP! They require a $100 deposit BUT it has to be CASH!!! There's an ATM at the office, but in case it's down better to be prepared! You'll get deposit back if room is good. ABSOLUTELY NO SMOKING ON THE PROPERTY !

First they charge 100 because apparently there are alot of issues.Then you can't check out early or you don't get the deposit back. Room was not the best something on the door inside either blood or feces? Room very mildewy. Got on Priceline was ereasonable price but do not reccommend!
