Went to Robina on Saturday March 23 with my wife. We both have never seen a more aggressive sales person in our lives. She was constantly saying everything looks great on my wife and trying to close the sale for each item. She told my wife to put on a pair of "mother" jeans and have them tight because they will stretch eventually. my wife could barely button the jeans and the suggestion to buy them, wear them, and wash them and they will fit great is ludicrous. Do not know how she stays in business with her aggressiveness Made us quite uncomfortable. I just looked at other reviews of Robina in and noticed that 99 percent of them were 1 star and mentioned how rude the owner is. Obviously the 5 star reviews are phony. Everyone sees her nasty attitude and the rude way she treats people.

What a terribly rude woman who owns this place. She used to carry more contemporary designer brands so worth just ignoring her nonsense. She’s obnoxious and out of touch with fashion. Tacky with very few exceptions.

Do not shop here! The store owner manipulates prices of goods and refunds. She charged me $145 for a T-shirt and then refunded me $105. She also charged me $320 for a top, tried to refund me $309. She got angry when I asked for an explanation of her overcharges and under-refunds. She refused to give me back my money, gave no discount after trying to rip me off. Dishonesty seems to be a pattern.

I had a terrible experience at Robina!! Store is lovely and she has great merchandise. She marks up most items from regular store prices. HOWEVER, my problem is that she ripped me off TWICE! It could not be a coincidence that she overcharged and underrefunded!!I bought 2 items, changed my mind and went to exchange. When she wrote up the return receipt she changed the price of 1 item. (Refunded $309 when actual price on tag was $320) Then I noticed she refunded $105 for a tshirt she originally charged $145.Clothes are too expensive to then be ripped off by the owner who puts fake prices on receipts and refunds!When I brought the 2 mistakes to her attention(2 different days) she shrugged, said mistakes happen. She refused to just give me a full refund (after overcharging me $60) and then offered no discount..... she was actually pissy!!!! I told her that she charged $145 for a tshirt, but only refunded me $105, and she was mad at me!!! If it happened twice to me, I assume this is standard practice!!! I don't appreciate dishonesty!!!!!

I was visiting La Jolla a few weeks ago and came across this lovely boutique when walking by in the evening. Although I never had a chance to visit the store before returning home, I was so impressed by a lovely purse in the window that I called and asked if it could be shipped to me.Nina took such good care of me--she was so helpful, kind, and friendly. She showed me a few other gorgeous pieces by text and I ended up with all three! She packed everything beautifully and sent it to my home via UPS Overnight. The pieces and price points are perfect--such lovely quality.I look forward to visiting this wonderful boutique the next time I'm in La Jolla. It has gained a new customer! Thank you, Nina!

My day in La Jolla was wonderful until I was insulted by an employee at this boutique. I was attracted to a lovley leather jacket that I could not afford at the moment, but I may have purchased something else. But that was destroyed when this person asked me "What was I doing here then?" If I could not afford it. I was so shocked that I told my friend, who could afford that leather jacket, that we needed to leave! I truly hope this wasn't the owner, but I had a sense it was. Thank you for showing me how not to treat people! You were very rude & I am astonished that you spoke to me that way without even knowing who I am. I will pass by you shop the next time I visit La Jolla with friends.

Shopping at Robina is an amazing experience. Robina the owner has been a part of La Jolla's fashion trends for over 20 years. Her hands on approach is very refreshing. She loves what she does . She will take you outside of your comfort zone. I loved everything I purchased and will be back to see what else I need in my wardrobe.

Such a great boutique! Visiting from scottsdale, AZ and we had Great friendly service from Nina and Robina! I bought a super cool Leather jacket and a pair of mother Jean’s. Thanks for dressing me up cute! My new fav boutique! Can’t wait go back next summer. Thanks girls! Oh and my husband had a great time playing with bootsy and a customers pup Callie. ❤️ ??

I was window shopping and wandered in. Left with 3 shirts, 2 jeans and 2 belts. The items are equal parts hip and classic. I am sure I can enjoy these high quality items for the next 20 years. Thank you Nina.

Horrible experience with the owner who works here. She's an argumentative " know it all " who makes everything negative and unpleasant. She was actually competing with me on jean knowledge. What an idiot. Plus, she looks like an old lunatic. Don't bother with this place.

What an unpleasant stuck up rude owner. Unless you're a woman looking rich, she wouldn't even give you a second look. She is so slow she takes hours with one client and completely ignores others. Doesn't have a good taste nor is good in business, clearly if she couldn't afford rent at her former larger location. I am an established designer with far better taste than her, I stopped by to show her my work because she rudely told me to cone back when she is not with a client . So I did, then she rudely told me she is not interested. She didn't even see what I had, did it make that old fart feel important that someone running after her ? I am self made and I made it without appalling people like you and I will continue to grow and will grow even bigger when I'll stay away from trashy people like you. You have no class as much as you wish to gain in this phony rich community, read your reviews ! Respect is earned and you're clearly a disrespected woman In this community. What a shame ! If you want a "pretty woman" shopping experience, come here ! This nasty woman will give it to you! I just find it so pathetic, everything about her is unpleasant - one just doesn't wanna be around her. It's like a wave of repulsive disgust that comes from just being around her. I've gone to speak to many owners in that district and all but this- were polite and interested. This one has issues, I mean if you're not Interested why are you telling the person to come back? And when they come back to show you merchandise - why would tel them you're not interested without even seeing ? You have no respect for yourself because no respected person would act in such manner. I don't even know who would wanna work with you and where you get your tasteless merchandise but you could have gained much more partnering with me than sitting running your store old school. You would have been all over social media and get free PR... but hey keep sitting selling your junk - you'll be forced out for the neighborhood eventually

Came into this store and was greeted by the sweetest little white dog named Bootsy and an incredible women named Robina. (the owner) after browsing for a short period i found the best gifts for my wife who has a very impeccable style. Robina has an extensive selection of high-end cloths and accessories sure to impress. I was very happy with the service and products. Will definitely come back! Come check out this local gem and support your community
