I will miss the Lake Murray Rite Aid, as we have shopped here since 1985. This store was already here before we moved to San Carlos. The pharmacy was excellent and will miss it. I did like the cashiers during the fall and Christmas season. They were very nice and it was sad that they closed this location. My mom's medications were always on time and I always received a phone call reminder for pick up. I had hoped that this location would be spared. So sad that it is gone.

Owen really went above and beyond in customer service, very kind and made sure that we were satisfied with the service. Going to the back just to restock the flavor we wanted.

The checkout line can get long at times. There is an Amazon Hub Locker (Elegant) here. After reading many of the negative reviews, which seem very plausible as I am a frequent shopper. (At least once a week.) I am seeing a common thread which is very disconcerting. After the customer describes the problem they experienced clearly and with detail, they are referred to customer care. I have seen the temporary air conditioning units in use for at least a full year. I know that many corporations reduce manager bonuses when money is spent on store infrastructure, so managers are tempted to let the store facility deteriorate. This is a disservice to both the customers and employees and no doubt leads to friction in problem transactions as well as loss of customers. Everyone would prefer to shop in more hospitable conditions. It really doesn't require that a customer with melted chocolates contact customer care to (not) get the air conditioning fixed! The manager needs to step up and do the right thing, not pass the buck to the customer. You are lucky that the customer told you about it at all! For every bad review you see here, at least 10 others said nothing and just never shop here anymore. For some reason, in this topsy turvy post Covid world, not even the most basic sales and customer service training is given even to management level. Actually ALL staffers need to be trained in the basics in ongoing weekly installments. (before the store opens, traditionally on Saturday AM) Make it 30 minutes if there is no budget or attention span for a 60 minute session. But for crying out loud, fix the da@&ed air conditioning first! If it's not in the budget, convince corporate to put it in the budget. You guys are losing 10 times as much money as you are aware of. It's in corporate's best interest to staunch the bleeding! It seems in this Zendesk world the new business model is to run and hide from your customers rather than use them as the valuable resource that they are. You should feel the pulse of your customers, not try to avoid them. The complainers are trying to help you FOR FREE! I don't care what the new Amazon/Uber/FedEx business model says. Pay attention to your customers and your profits will triple! It's actually that simple. Just care (for real) and don't just say you care. Customers really aren't stupid. When your staff starts providing real customer service, it's infectious. Everyone becomes a team and has pride in their work.

Pharmacy is superb. Unfortunately just found out they are closing Feb 5th! If you are looking to transfer pharmacies do not go to the CVS on Navajo and fletcher, I used to get my meds there and there was always problems. Never had one problem at this rite aid. I've heard Walgreens is better than the cvs.

This was a good place to get ice cream, vaccinations and prescriptions. Pharmacists are nice, cashiers not so much. (And even if you were a customer, you still had to get a little wooden paddle with a key from a cashier in order to use their restroom, like in grade school.) For weeks the store has been only partly stocked and one of their ice-cream freezers died and wasn't replaced, so I had my suspicions. I asked about the half-empty shelves last night, found out this Rite Aid will be closing in early February 2024. The staff says they'll transfer our prescriptions elsewhere automatically - but I think it's probably best to do it yourself right now if you have prescrips in their system, because of course when they close, transferring prescriptions is probably not going to be at the top of anyone's list. And apparently they just send scrips to random stores without consulting the customers!

Reason of why I'm giving 2 stars and not one is because the establishment was clean and organized. Went there around 9pm to get cough medicine because my son was sick. Cashier asked for an ID. I forgot my wallet but I was carrying cash with me so I asked my husband if he had his ID which he did. Then the cashier rudely asked if the medicine was for me or for him to which I said neither. It was for our son at home. Then he said I couldn't buy the medicine since I didn't have the ID. Fair enough so I gave the cash to my husband who had his ID on him and the cashier still gave us attitude. I wanted to just leave everything and walk away.

I went over to grab some ice cream during my construction break and found an absolute gem of an ice cream bar. The workers were kind and gave us huge portions. The cookies and cream ice cream had too much cream compared to cookie but it still tasted very creamy and rich. Birthday cake ice cream was very sweet and tasted like cotton candy. Pecan was mainly just cream ice cream mixed with decadent caramel. Would definitely come back again during a construction break.

I bought an Amazon gift card here and someone had already used it and put it back into the rack. Be very careful buying gift cards here, as they will not refund you nor will they exchange one that works. Don't buy gift cards at this Rite Aid!

Angelica, the Cashier is super sweet and funny. They just got a new manager who was also really nice. She told me the store in our neighborhood was not closing and I was really happy about that

Store is ALWAYS clean and for the most part, employees are very nice. At times there's homeless people outside, but not all the time. I really don't think it's Rite aide's fault cause they DO TRY THEIR BEST to deal with the situation in a Legal way.
