This branch manager has wrong information about after midnight alcohol policy. I always bought beer from other branches after midnight but this branch manager informed me “NO”
Maybe she is not a manager and also the security guy(old man) when tried to ask about the alcohol purchasing policy this old man just threatened and shouted to me “You are wrong” like this.
This horrible place I will never get again.

If I could leave 0 stars I would. The Ralph’s on Montezuma has the worse, most unprofessional, rude, lazy and unhelpful manager named TERRI. I purchased a gift card where I was charged but the amount wasn’t loaded onto the gift card. The cashier who helped me said the manager (Terri) would fix it, and paged her several times. Since the manager was on break i waited about 30mins, she finally arrived 20mins late from her break. She was immediately irritated she had to help someone. I told her the issue and said she couldn’t help me and for me to call the number on the back of the gift card. I explained to her the issue is with Ralph’s, not the gift card. I showed her my receipt and the transaction on my bank app. She said I wasn’t charged and took off. I got the cashier who helped me, to explain to the manager I was charged and the card amount didn’t load onto the gift card. She ignored us both to take over a register. I couldn’t believe this lady was the manager. The cashier was helpful, concerned and apologetic unlike the acting manager. What use is a manager if they cannot help? Terri is useless, untrained, unprofessional and shouldn’t be a manager. She negatively reflects Ralph’s management. I will be returning tomorrow to speak to the actual store manager about both issues.

Jeff, the meat manager was incredible. I’m so grateful for service and treating you so well and I will actually come back to me with it because it is phenomenal service.

I go to Ralph’s (Montezuma) often, and I usually go to get groceries and drinks for the day, however, when Ralph’s moved their isles around, it caused me some frustration. However, I got used to it, and moved past it. I can again find my needs in ease, and I would like it if this store not do that again, and I believe me, and other customers would appreciate it.

Got there at at 630pm today to go to the deli for some delicious boars head pepperoni. But the lady told us they were closed and was mopping. The deli is supposed to stay open til 7pm, what a horrible experience. Also spoke with manager who just said that the closer called out and there was nothing to be done. I drove from Santee for nothing.

I came here today for what should have been a quick, five minute trip. I needed one item, so I went to self check out when I was ready. I clicked check out on the screen, and the card reader lit up with its usual blue lights and said, "insert card." So, I tapped my phone on the card reader for Apple Pay. On my phone, it clicked and made the usual sound that it makes when an Apple Pay payment is accepted. As is always the case (I say in a sarcastic tone...), the machine at self check out shorted out, and I got the dreaded message on the screen: please wait for assistance. The self check out monitor lady (I didn't catch her name) was off elsewhere, getting an item for a customer who had forgotten something in self check out. I don't think you're supposed to leave your station when you're the only one at the section; but I waited for her to get back. Thinking the system already accepted my payment, I had no choice but to wait. When she came back, she proceeded to help the same guest she was retrieving an item for for another 5-10 minutes. When she came over to me, she was immediately rude and clearly irritated. I told her what happened: I already paid with Apple Pay. She spoke to me condescendingly, "well, no, you didn't pay." I told her, "yes, my phone said the payment was accepted." Then she said my balance was still on the screen and I have to press the button on the kiosk that says I am ready to use my card, even though the card reader said clearly to insert my card. So I did Apple Pay again. It didn't work. She relished in it and said, in her same frustrated tone, "well maybe there isn't any money on your card." Of course there is money on my credit card... I came here for a quick in an out visit and I had a terrible experience with the blonde at self check out (around 4:30 PM 3/14/24). If this is how Ralphs trains their staff to do customer service, there is something seriously wrong here. The store itself is spotless and well organized. I usually enjoy shopping here because they have such a large selection of items. Now I'm going to think twice about using self check out here... it is not the faster option.

Moved to the neighborhood three months ago. This store is a headache. Layout is counterintuitive, spend more time looking for the correct aisle than shopping.

If there were zero stars i would give it!, So I was waiting behind a white women in the deli area there is a white girl with blondish hair with the ends dyed pink and piercings on her face servicing her, so I'm waiting when she done with the women, she answers her phone right in front of me while ignoring me then proceeds to leave from behind the deli to avoid serving me there is another women black at the deli, A white women shows up and automatically she begins to serve her even though I was there before her, had it not been for me speaking up she would've served her first even though I had been waiting, The white girl with blondish hair with the ends dyed pink is definitely racist I don't recommend this deli if your not white. I literally saw her acting stupid like she was organizing the pastries on display outside of the deli for one when she was done servicing the white women she got on the phone ignored me then proceeded to exit from behind the deli (while looking dead at me) and stayed on the phone and then went to act like she needed to organize the already placed pastries that were on the island. I suffer from depression, social anxiety and alot of other things the reason I mention these two is because this is the exact reason us with these disabilities do not like human interactions because of people like her! I didn't see her name tag but I will be getting this information and reporting her its indirect racism towards people of Spanish decent I was very angry I'm so sick of the racism in certain Ralph's stores she ignored me she didn't even ask me if I needed help she didn't even ask the other employee to help me she's racist or sexist either way it's racism. I will be reporting her! She needs to be fired or some disciplinary action needs to be taken!

This location is terrible with the phone service. I called five times to see if they had baby formula in stock. Until the second time I got an answer, the lady said she'd transfer me, and I was just left there for 29 minutes. The other times they just hung up on me. If its busy, of course I'd understand, but just hanging up on people is rude.

While visiting San Diego my husband and daughter got Covid. The customer service they gave me was extraordinary. They spent time calling doctors in New York to get my husband the medicine he needed and suggested over the counter medicine for my daughter that worked well for her. I highly recommend them.
