It’s a small lab behind a generic tall door in an office complex. I made an appointment and was seen on time. I had a nice experience with Candy - She easily found a vein, and it was painless. The only reason I gave four stars is because of the hassle of parking and finding the office.I parked underground in the tight garage. Next time I’ll use the valet parking off Genesee that is the same price.

As I’ve seen some other recent comments say, I don’t know if something has changed at this lab or what, but its low rating seems unwarranted. This is of course just my experience, but I had no issues when I got my lab work done today.I made an appointment online and arrived rather early because of the reviews. I will say, the parking and navigating to the actual lab is confusing but that’s not the lab’s fault. Just allow yourself time and you’ll be okay.I checked in via the kiosk at around 9:10 and barely had time to sit down before they called my name. The lab tech was very nice and proficient. I would definitely go to this location in the future.

Made a same day appt for labs, and the technician who assisted me was very quick and professional. I got to the location via the trolley. I used the main entrance door for 9333 that is directly facing toward the stoplights and trolley bridge. It also had a keypad attached, but was not needed to gain entry. While I didn’t know that was the right door, a couple steps later I was at the Quest office door on my left. There was no long wait and I was in and out. Would recommend if walking/using trolley from nearby in La Jolla.

Staff very rude. You have to pay for parking.

It would appear that some of the reviews are outdated so here is a recent one. I decided to visit this location because it was the closest one to me but I was hesitant due to the bad reviews. What I experienced was nothing like the reviews at all. I don't think they close at 11 for lunch anymore as my appointment was at 11:20 and they were open. The staff here was amazing. I arrived a little early to check in and there were two people ahead of me. Sure enough by 11:25 I was back in the room getting my blood work done. Julie assisted me and she was an absolute gem! I told her I was nervous and she did such an amazing job calming me and keeping me distracted with conversation. Yes, you have to pay for parking, but that's pretty normal for the La Jolla area. It was like $5, and I'd pay it again to visit this location. Clean, friendly, and with an appointment I was in and out. Julie is extreamly friendly and very efficient. If you're on the fence on visiting this location, give it a shot.Pro tip, give your self more time than you think to arrive at your appointment. I found the parking garage and the lab pretty quickly by chance, but I can see how it may be confusing. Just give yourself some extra time so you arrive on time. Go to the front of the building and find the door that says main entrance. Then go down the hall till it dead ends and go to the left, first door.

I don't know where or why these 1-star comments are here but the experience was great for me. 10 minutes in total and everything went very smoothly. I made an appointment for 8:30 AM and came here to check in at 8:25 AM. 3 Minutes after check-in I was tested. At 8:35 AM everything was finished and I left the lab. As mentioned by other comments, I think that booking an early appointment and arrive on-time (i.e., 5-10 minutes early) will help a lot.

If I could give 0 stars I would. I made my appointment for 9am and attempted to call at 8:55 to inform the office I was going to be late, no one answered the phone and my appointment was CANCELLED as I arrived to the clinic. They also did not inform me of the parking situation (pay for parking in garage) as there was no street parking which caused a GREATER delay in my arrival. I informed the front desk and they completely disregarded me. I would recommend ANY other lab testing facility.

Maybe I came in at the right time (early morning) but there was barely any wait time. The staff was professional too. Their official App also works incredibly well :)Update: Walked in at 8 the next day for another lab test. Can confirm there was nobody waiting. I don’t even think there were any other patients at the time.

I made an appointment in advance and I arrived early. I was checked in an had to step out to the bathroom less than 5 min., when I got back they had canceled my appointment. Thay asked me to log in again as a walk in. I was waiting for over 2 hours. There was a lot of people just chatting in the back not calling anyone to get their test.People in the waiting room were saying that it didn't use to be that way.

I arrive 30 minutes early for my 2 pm appointment and they are just slow. So be prepared to add another 15 late to your appointment. I suggest looking for another location!

The workers / phlebotomists here are absolutely lovely. Unfortunately the issue seems to be with the Quest company as a whole, which results in an abysmal experience for everyone. They allow double-booked appointments, more than the workers can handle. They allow back-to-back bookings 10 minutes apart, and time the workers on how long each appointment takes, and they get in trouble if they take too long, even though most collections take longer than 10 minutes. All of this combined results in angry patients in a jam-packed waiting room who are stuck waiting long past their booked appointment time, and overworked phlebotomists trying to deal with it all, since there are no front desk or reception workers (all employees are phlebotomists, there is zero administrative staff to help out). This also means no one to answer phones to help out with directions to the hard-to-find location, or to answer questions. Unfortunately, this all points to Quest being yet another money-grubbing company who could not care less about their hard working staff, nor their paying patients/customers. I strongly recommend asking your doctor for an alternative for lab work needs.

QUICK AND PAINLESSHad to come do blood work while in vacay. Made a same day appointment and was seen right away. Nurse was friendly and didn't cause me any pain. I highly recommend appointments the waiting room gets full. Also don't do phone appts they lost mine the nurse said always do it online so you can screenshot it.

Make an appt or do not come here. They always have one tech working. I had a two hour wait as a walk in. Since the one on Frost street closed this is the closest location to me. If I had another option I would have walked out and never come back here again it is poorly staffed. Avoid at all cost!

This location needs better support. I came in to drop off a sample and was told I needed an appointment for this. There was only one staff member working and I could tell she was very stressed. Quest needs to do better for their workers and their patients.
