AVOID THIS LOCATION!! I frequently visit all PWB locations and have 6 accounts for business. Every single time I come downtown they make me feel like a CRIMINAL! They screen you before they let you inside. It takes 15 mins to deposit a check because they need to make phone calls and make sure I have an account? Why else would I be there if I didn’t have an account. One time after 15 mins I just left without my receipt and told the lady from across the room to deposit the check. Absolute WORST experience every time I go to the downtown branch. AVOID !!!

Ricky! He's always there and super quick... which is good because getting there takes the most time :) Has a cute deli across the hall for a quick snack while you sit in traffic on the way back to work too.

Many years ago, this was a nice, friendly, small bank. As it changed hands several times, the service got worse and tellers with little knowledge or experience were hired. Recently, I have found managers to be incompetent. I kept money there to continue to pay an automatic withdrawal. The bank charged a fee for a mistake they made and continued to charge me, draining my account and then closing it. I have never been treated as badly by a bank as this one has. I encourage everyone looking for banking institutions to not choose this one. You might have your account drained by mistakes they have made.

These new folks - Pacific Western Bank - acquired First National Bank. For 15 years we've banked with First National and have maintained both personal and business accounts - 4 in all. During that time, we've been treated as good, stable customers, and respected for 15 years of business with First National. But all that's changed! Now with PWB having swooped in - it's clear there's a new sheriff in town. AND we are changing banks! Fees have increased on most all services, they are heavy handed with their "large item holds" on checks coming from large nationally known financial institutions located in another state. Oh please - I was told there would be an ELEVEN DAY hold on a check written on a well-established financial institution BECAUSE - HOLD ON _ THIS IS GOOD - the check was drawn on an Illinois bank. AN ILLINOIS BANK! for heaven's sake. It's obvious a check from that far away can't clear for 1-1 days! WHAT are they thinking? And the AVP refused to waive the charge - like its necessary for such a "high risk" check?? AND They are rude to boot! Who needs it? OK - no problem. We're moving our four accounts. I would recommend if you are looking for a new bank - don't look twice at Pacific Western Bank. They're jerks.
