The receptionist, nurse, and Pacific Medical Care were fantastic. I came in two weeks ago after I got bit by a dog; they irrigated the wound, stitched me up, gave me the necessary injections and I was out of there in no time. Everyone was super friendly and very professional. If (when) I get injured again, I'm going straight back to see them.

I went to Pacific Medical Care for medication management treating Bipolar II. I have been on the same medication for 3 years, no issues. 1st visit, saw a nurse practitioner who wrote a prescription and 5 refills. 6 months later: 2nd visit I see a nurse practitioner and what seemed like an intern. Both were consulting with Dr Duffy intermittently through my visit as if they needed direction and permission. After my appt I am making a follow up appt, I say 6 months again? Someone has to go consult Dr Duffy, who says he will only prescribe one month of medication at a time. I contest and tell them I can't have an appt every month, I can't always take time off work, I can't afford another copay every month, my Psychiatrist saw me every 4 months and ordered labs. The nurse asks me to come back to the examination room and wait to speak to Dr Duffy. He comes in and gets in my face and is scolding in tone, says he will only write a one month prescription, that I don't determine my treatment he does, and if I don't like it find another doctor. Then he says he can tell I'm having a reaction to my medication clenching my jaw and fidgeting. I told him my mother just died and I've been tense and emotional to which he responds, "That's nice," and continues to belittle me and condescend to me, treating me like I'm drugged up, talking to me like I'm a child asking me loudly "do you understand!?" He acted like he was on drugs and projecting. He was insensitive, lacked all compassion or empathy, made ignorant assumptions and ridiculous assertions. I wonder if all of his diabetics or hypertensives have to be seen once a month to get their prescriptions. I can understand if someone is taking potentially addictive medications. Psychiatrists write 3-4 months at a time when someone is stabilized on a medication and they generally try to minimize the burden of being treated and medicated with the minimal required visits, labs and pharmacy trips. Dr Duffy was cruel, unprofessional, obviously knows nothing about mental health, ignores the Hippocratic oath and treats all patients like they're junkies whether they are or not or their mother just died. Some practice, they didnt ask how my mother died or her age. That information could be vital to my well being as she died far younger than average and had a host of genetically inherited diseases. He is the worst doctor I've ever encountered. I wouldn't let him treat my goldfish much less myself. If I was dying and he had the antidote, I'd rather take my chances than be subjected to his mistreatment or have to follow his orders of stupidity. I've not met a bigger horse's a** in recent memory. By the looks of his waiting room, he was banking on my monthly visits. I was there over an hour and not another patient to be seen, both times which makes sense since 3 people had to be in constant consult for a routine medication refill. Incompetence and malpractice. I don't like it, I guess I'll have to find a better doctor. One who's skills aren't limited to running a pill mill and collecting urine samples.

I started with Pacific Medical Care, and had a great doctor. He came to my house, was an anesthesiologist previously, and listened to my concerns. I was prescribed Percocet for my back pain. I have had two spinal surgeries and have a pinched nerve that causes a lot of pain. Then after a few months I got a call that I needed to come in, that they had fired that doctor and they were no longer offering mobile services. Fine. So I began coming in every two weeks to their smelly office building. You have to pee in a cup each time which is annoying, but whatever. I had nothing to hide. There were always questionable people in the waiting room and I felt like I was at a rehab center. For a little over a year I was seen by dr Carey. He was older and although a little gruff, he was kind and continued the pain medication. He increased it when I had my surgery, and it helped me a lot. Now after a while, I realized that I was on too high of a dose and although it felt good, I wanted to taper down. I wasn't mentally addicted, but I know that I was physically addicted to it. One day I got to my appointment and dr Carey was out sick. They had me see Dr. Duffy. He came in and told me that it was ridiculous that I was on pain medication and that I was an addict. That I just needed to lose weight and I'd be fine. He cut me off cold turkey! I went home and began what was the worst experience of my life. My husband was in a different state for work, so I was all alone going through withdrawal. I couldn't take it and went back the next day because I felt like I was dying. He gave me injections in my back and grabbed my a** while he called me "Toots". I was so uncomfortable that I just let it go. He told me to come back the next day, and he prescribed me a medication that was supposed to help my withdrawal symptoms. It did nothing. When I came back, he wanted to have me meet with a nutritionist and start physical therapy. I told him that I was so miserable that I felt like dying and he threatened to send me to a psych hold. Then, at the end of my "appointment", he kissed me on the cheek! If I hadn't been so out of sorts, I would have screamed at him. He totally took advantage of me and screwed me up for months. I never went back after that. Screw his "therapy"! It took months for me to feel human again after that whole ordeal. I would never, EVER go to them. Dr Duffy should have his license revoked. He's a slimeball that doesn't care about his patients' well being.

On my first visit Dr. (I use the term but she bows NOT deserve it) Moheen Suna-Sitto took 2 hours to see me. She had no patience because I could see her office door. I need her talk about me to the receptionist and she returned to her office. When she did see me she was VERY RUDE In her manorisum unprofessional. In my experience she does not care about patience and should find a new line of work. This is not my first Pain Management Doctor I have seen. DR.Alica Steiner was the best but she stopped using my health insurance. She is still a friend of mine since I was a patient since 2012. But Moheem needs to retire.

By far the most unprofessional doctor's office I have ever been to. Be prepared to carry your own urine sample to and from a public restroom (which contradicts the point of a drug screening?) and in front of the whole entire waiting room back to the mini fridge behind the front desk. The staff was slow, dismissive and uninformed with just about everything. Dr. Carey made me feel incredibly uncomfortable both in and outside of the examination room. The doctor and nurses lacked serious sensitivity training. You couldn't pay me enough to go back to this office as I honestly question whether this practice is even legit.

Dr Duffy walked into my room, without looking at my chart (he said he'd look at it tonite when he had time- what a joke) and started bullying me into going to his program and saying he could completely cure me-without even knowing what was wrong with me at all!!!!! He has absolutely no idea even what my diagnoses were!!!! I didn't even put them on the paperwork he gave me!!!!!. He had no idea whatsoever about how much pain medication I had even been on!!Over and over he said he could completely cure me without knowing anything about me all!! Even guaranteeing it!Buy being rude and unprofessional and calling me a drug addict and saying I was unattractive and that I didn't have a boyfriend because of it. As if a woman has no self worth without a man!!!Then all of a sudden someone comes in an does bloodwork, then they wanted to do an echocardiogram and an EKG!! They just automatically start the process without any consent, etc. They get no prior authorization for any treatment at all. My spine doctor had to get prior auth for one MRI!! Let alone a months stay in a program. Also his program includes going to a nursing home-I worked in them for years-definitely not going to one!I agree with other reviews, he just wants to stick all of his patients into his "program" to make money, regardless of their issues. Also look at all of the reviews that are "not recommended" on yelp.Their pamphlet states caring "outpatient" or inpatient treatment. But he just wants to stick everyone in his program for insurance money!!! He said he doesn't even know or care what kind of insurance, let alone what's wrong with you. So you know you will be responsible for any extra expenses!!As with any kind of service, you definitely need to get other opinions!

Dr. Duffy is rude and doesn't know anything about Medical treatment, his knowledge of illnesses and proper pain treatment is absolutely unsatisfactory. Dr Duffy's goal to bill insurance companies as much as possible for a ridiculous unneeded medical detox. He lies about being a medication management doctor, I definitely don't suggest coming here especially because my appointment was at 1 PM and didn't get seen until 3:45.
