Over priced, you will find cheaper prices on eBay for the same items.
Like all other 1 star reviews here and in yelp, be aware, the girl with the long brown hair is super rude. It’s disgusting that she represents this store. I said hi with a smile, she ignored me, didn’t say hi and went back to her little work while listening to music with ear buds in. Ew.

My wife and I have donated in total, probably close to 30-40 full trash bags of incredible articles of clothing, furniture, decore, and other new or barley used items to this place from the opening of this store. We have continuously returned multiple times a month to also purchase and support the business.
Today, I got a call from my wife, a long time loyal customer....she was literally crying...
She went on to explain, the the female owner of the business yelled and berated her this afternoon while she was shopping at the store bc my wife was explaining that she accidentally donated a few wrong items...
Regardless of the reason, these owners have zero self awareness or appreciation for the locals that continuously donate and support their business. They are the ones that benefit for PROFIT from "OUR DONATIONS AT NO COST."
A message to the owners....
1. Congrats on losing two of your biggest "free donors"
2. Best of luck, the community will hear my message, and your business will suffer

There are a ton of awesome items in this store and the store is very neat! If you buy multiple items they will give you a great discount.

Stumbled upon this randomly. What an amazing thrift store! The prices seem pretty low (compared to what I am used to from D.C. thrift stores). Wish I wasn’t on a trip with limited luggage - I saw a bunch of pieces I liked ?

I come here often because there is always new cool stuff to look at. Lots of trinkets, clothing, records, household items, etc. A little bit of everything. Modern and vintage stuff :) Better than your average thrift store. The owners are great and friendly too!

Excellent customer service and they stay open during the weekend for around 30 more minutes if people keep coming in.

OB Thrift has come to be my favorite thrift store in all of San Diego. The prices and proximity to the ocean are unbeatable! Newport Ave. wouldn't be the same without them :)
Also, the owners are the nicest people I've ever met and have never had an issue with them. The negative reviews seem like Karens...

This is one of my favorite stores in San Diego. I usually stop in with a list of things I'd like to purchase. Today was a bowling shirt and an old fashioned hand-held fan; got the fan, missed on the bowling shirt. The service is wonderful and regardless of what is on your list you can find something you like.

I have serious health issues/disease, and they make it excruciatingly painful for me to stand and walk for extended periods of times. I had originally thought the lady at the front counter was very nice but she then came screaming at me and shouting at me that I was rude because I sat down in a chair and put my bare foot slipped out of my flip flops on the corner of a wooden box. In no way was I trying to be rude but I could no longer stand so I was taking a short break. I was in a lot of pain. And instead of politely asking me to stand up or asking me not to put my foot on the corner of this box, this woman (apparently the store owner) comes shouting at me that I'm rude. Who's rude?
I would have really liked to purchase a jacket and some locks and surely a few other things, but after being shouted at, no thank you. Had she politely asked me not to sit down or not to put my foot on the box, I would have purchased the few items I had already picked out and come back when I wasn't in so much pain.
I see from a few comments here that I'm not the only one who has had a negative experience.
