I have been bringing my car here since around 2010. I am convinced that Jim was born in the back seat of a Mercedes as he knows everything about them. Very honest and they will not do unnecessary repairs like others do. You can not go wrong bringing your car here.

I love this place! I've been going here to get all my work done on my car the past couple of years. They're really nice and friendly, provide great service, and their prices are very fair (and much cheaper than going to the dealership!) We always just drop our car off for an oil change and hang out at a local coffee shop or grab something to eat in the area. They're very knowledgeable and you can just tell that they are there to help you; and not just trying to add on more things that you don't need to have done on your car. They're usually done pretty quickly and give us a call once it's ready. We all don't look forward to having to get work done on our cars, but I definitely don't mind giving this place a call for an appointment when I have to!

We stopped here in the middle of a road trip and they immediately helped us and didn't even charge us. Double plus good. These guys care.

I was new to the area and needed headlights replaced. They not only fit me into their busy schedule, there was NO CHARGE for the parts OR service. I returned to get Sch B service for my E350. They were warm, professional and most of all efficient and HUNDREDS LESS than Mercedes dealerships! I am taking my son's car for his service. Great service which is rare in todays consumer market. KUDOS!

I did a standard "A" service and an intermittent check engine light on my low mile 2006 C230 Sport. Quite honestly I have tried every independent Mercedes shop in San Diego and this is the first time that I did not feel ripped off or had someone try too hard to sell me additional services in a long time. The price for the A service was quoted up front and once the check engine light problem was diagnosed, I was informed of the problem and the options I had. I was not charged for the check engine light diagnoses. Everything was explained to me and I was given several options, including the possible consequences of waiting until the problem became more persistent, which is what I did for now. What would be useful for all of you to know is, while I'm not a mechanic, I used to own a shop and have been around car repair business most of my life. While I know everyone looks at repair shops with their own expectations, I was very pleased and will go back to them for my next service. My sister has an E Class and she will also be going to Nick's for service. I hope this review helps all of you.

No interaction with the company, however it looked and seemed like a great place to get car work done.

Let me start by saying I had a previously taken my vehicle and was super satisfied with the service and pricing I received. Not today i called to get an estimate on the service for a check engine code that I pulled myself with my machine I was calling to see if they would be so kind to tell me a rough estimate to get that repair done, Well the gentleman who answered the phone was rude from the moment he said" hello"he basically told me how the hell was he supposed to know what that code meant mind you these are supposed to be "Mercedes-Benz specialist"and of course I don't expect him to know all the codes of the top of his head, But there's other ways of explaining to people, how they will need to either diagnose the Benz in order to give me a price range. He then proceeded to tell me he would fix whatever code I gave him and what ever I said it was but then it would be on me if that part didn't work, or when it went to s*** his words not mine. I then said OK thank you. I guess I'll take it to the dealership. He then stopped me and said well don't take it to the dealership he said just take it and have them tell you what it needs and then bring it back and we can fix it. (Damn want then to come do it for u also? Sorry my sarcastic a*** Let me tell you I am all about giving my money to small business which I have always tried to do. but in these unprecedented time in life, I will pay top dollar and take getting violated through the rear in order to get good customer service. To management There at Nicks auto repair you just lost one customer who who you had recently gain. I hope this helps anyone else see the reviews. Listen to the complaints about how rude they are as if they don't need your money. Yes, your money to keep their business alive. Customer service should always be a PRIORITY and I know this as I am a public servant and I understand that without people there is no job there is no career and there is no business Best of luck for anyone visiting them I hope they had the opportunity to drink their coffee or eat their lunch before answering the phone to customers. What a disappointment. So much for my positive review before light go in and delete it.

I just picked my car up from it's second service at Nick's Auto Repair. I took it in August last year and had a great experience all around.I made an appointment to drop my vehicle off at 7:30A this morning and I arrived 5 mins early. The door to the reception area was open so I walked in to check in - the receptionist was clearly irritated that I was there as well as the man who opened the garage door for me. So much so, that I double checked and asked if my appointment time was 7:30, which they confirmed was correct. Ok, like sorry to bother you and be an inconvenience? Maybe you shouldn't open so early if you aren't morning people.Later I got a call that some additional services (tires, which they don't do and brakes which they offered to replace). Any time I asked a question, the same receptionist interrupted me - I don't think I got one complete sentence out. She also spoke to me like I was stupid. Ultimately I asked for a quote for the brakes (since by this point I was frustrated). When I picked up my car and paid, the "quote" just said $375+ tax. I asked for an itemized quote - parts + labor, to include brand of brake pads. When I asked she just said, oh we use Mercedes parts. Ok, google 'Mercedes Benz brand brake pads" or call a dealer and see what comes up - nothing actionable with a range from $30-$300. I have an AMG with low-profile high-speed rated tires and I need brakes to match. Sorry for being particular and wanting a better understanding. They also couldn't take a picture of my brake pads to show me the wear OR tell me what the lifespan is/ est time left. But she was sure to tell me that if I waited too long and it got down to the rotors, they would charge me more. Hmm..Anyway, if you are going in for a standard service, their prices are great. Customer service is nonexistent. If you want any details or have questions, you will get interrupted at minimum and perhaps even insulted. Not the vibe of a trustworthy place. Ladies, it's one of those places that you "have to call your dad/husband to check" kind of vibe and I wouldn't recommend it.Service: Oil change

Brought my car here many times before, Jim is always helpful, polite and informs me of what my car needs ect very informative. My car runs like a champ after every visit. Only issue are the ladies that answer the phone, the older one always cuts me off and doesnt let me finish explaining something or just in general let me talk, it also sounds like shes always eating trail mix or nuts on the phone. The younger one is rude and just very dismisive over the phone. Im spending a lot of money for your services im not asking for much except let me explain whats wrong with my car or dont try to just brush me off. They need to retrain the receptionists or hire new ones. Other than that great place to bring your car for its repairs.
