“In town lodging at an Air BnB and forgot some essentials. We had planned to go to another store but they were closed. Von's was on our route so we stopped the car and headed in! It was about 20 minutes til closing so not many shoppers. We grabbed our items and a few other goods and headed to the register. To my delightful surprise, Von's is part of Safeway, which is a store in my market, so I was able to take advantage of the sale prices by being a Safeway Club members. Our cashier Zen was really nice and funny. I grew up shopping at Von's with my grandmother in another city. I'm grateful my recent shopping experience was an example of what I remembered as a child.”

“This was the most organized and beautiful store I have ever been to. It's huge and packed with groceries, super clean. As I entered the store one of the managers was at the front door and greeting customers as they entered the store. The store smells so fresh and if you just name anything, you will be able to find it there. Very convenient location as well. This will be the go-to location from now on.”

“I normally buy food here, cooked ready to eat or groceries, I have nothing but good comments, the service of the people working here is great, they really all are looking for a way to help but they get to serve some jrks as always , I've seen it twice happening in line and once they got robbed by waking away as is happening more often, regular 20-30s guys who can easily work but decide to attack stores, the employees just get sad as they have their hands tied by the government who asks pretty much to let them go, they can't even touch them. Anyways, keep up the good work, the ambiance on the store is great, always good music and clean.”

“Smaller Ralphs that located in Point Loma but away from Liberty Station, so you can avoid the crazy parking, but still it has a very small parking, and the traffic on Rosecrans Street also not ideal, anyway I was doing a little shopping on dill pickles spears because Costco only carries the baby kind, I found a few brands here.They pretty much have everything other Ralphs have, except I couldn't find the Lactaid brand ice cream, but they do have other dairy free brands, which was fine.Finally I ran into Channel 933 radio station doing their street promo with one of the store brand Haig's Hummus in honor of National Hummus Day, they gave all the customers vip coupons to try any flavors for free.Unfortunately Haig's Hummus were stored at a different section from the regular hummus brands, and not many employees were aware of that, lucky for me, I was helped by one of the Haig's employee himself, remember if you want to get this brand, the hummus will be located at the kosher section, fyi if you're looking for it next time.I picked the garlic original since I was not into spicy flavor.Finally the store is very short on staffs, maybe 2 of the registers open, the rest is self check out, but most of them didn't work unless you get to an employee, hopefully they will hire more people.”

“My spouse and I went in late this afternoon (2/28) to the Pharmacylooking for meds for our 13 year old German Shepherd after a disasteriousvisit to the Von's Pharmacy in Scripps Ranch. We were helped at the Pharmacy by "Judy" who went above and beyond helping us find the meds that had been prescribed by our Vet which were very expensive. We had a coupon from GoodRX for Pets that was problematic. Judy spent at least 1/2 hour to 45 minutes on the phone with GoodRX trying to access the information to allow us to use the GoodRX coupon. Judy went above and beyond for us and our dog "Santino"”

“Gosh.. I love my local Vons on Bernado Center Dr in RB.. the people deserve a 5+ star. What's becoming frustrating to me is your Just4U program. You recently changed that on the pick 4 for better pricing in individual items. I go to buy chips that have tags under it at $2.99 mix & match then next to it is pretzels buy 4 mix & match $2.99. However I can't mix & match those. Only chips or only pretzels. It drives me crazy! I hate getting up to the register having to check my receipt after checkout as I either misunderstood your deals or it wasn't inputted correctly in the system. I have used this program since the day it started.. please stay consistent. If I am missing something... please respond to this & I will contact you to discuss. The register people say they are frustrated with it as well so I know you have changed something”

“This is my second week I order cupcakes and they are super nice all the bakers and very helpful even today they made a little mistake in the color of the frosting and the gentleman that helped me he immediately fixed I moved from Ralph's as the people there were always rude specially this lady named Martha even when I order same cupcakes every week so I decided to move my business to Pavilions and I'm very happy with attitude of staff cleanliness of store costumer service and that you have a lot of space to walk around”

“I've been shopping here since the 80's. The employees in general seem content. Cashier Kathy always has a smile and the bakery dept. is phenomenal (I always have them slice their made fresh daily Sheep Herder Bread and I'm always greeted with a smile). This is definitely one of my go to stops.”

“It's always kind of bizarre to me when I see such a low rating for places like CVS or any other drugstore. I mean, it's a drugstore, what do you really expect from it? Since Rite Aid down the street closed and became a makeshift, impromptu, and illegal homeless hangout, this became the place I started to come to for simple necessities that I need faster than an Amazon Prime delivery. It's not a Target, it's not a grocery store, it's a drugstore. Who hangs out and actually spends any significant amount of time walking the aisles? Yeah, NOBODY! Hence I can't believe the passionate words stabilizing the low reviews. You go in, you grab what you need, you pay, you leave... that's it. Pop in for odds and end that you need in a pinch, this place is just fine.”

“This review is strictly for the Thrifty Ice Cream. I love going to this location because it is close to my house and super easy to just run to really quick for some bomb ice cream. They keep it frozen but not hard. So it gets perfectly soft by the time I get home. They have so many flavors and it's so much cheaper than any regular ice cream palor. No matter what time I come in, no one ever seems to have a problem getting the ice cream for me, and I've definitely come in late and when they were busy. And the best part is they accept ebt...... great snack for the kids and even better treat for myself without indulging in a full-size container of ice cream.”

“I've been coming here monthly for a year for my Rx and haven't had a problem. They're usually not busy when I arrive and the pharmacy staff is friendly. I hate that they share their parking lot with the general public which means there is NEVER any parking. If I couldn't walk here this would be a dealbreaker and I'd find another pharmacy.”

“What a sweet community store for the local neighborhood. This grocery store has been a long standing place for the community. The workers here are either recent high school graduates or seniors that are all local. They are courteous and nice, great customer interaction. They have a variety of items and the shelves are always stocked. The items are a little more expensive due to the inflation, but we pay for convenience. Recommendation for local grocery shop goers is to go during there sales and hit up every grocery store in the area. For example, check out grocery bargain outlet, then ALDI, then Sprouts, the 99ct store, then hit up Vons! I bet you would have found everything before hitting your last stop. Just a word of advice to the community.”

“I originally ordered a cake through another baker but found out last minute she couldn't do it. I came to Vons at about 8:30 am the next morning on May 1st to see if they could possibly decorate an already baked cake for me. I told Grace my sob but true story and she hesitated at first but then said she can have it done by around 1pm. I asked if she had extra cake she can decorate and she said no she will have to freshly bake it same day. I am incredibly happy and grateful that Grace pulled it off, literally last minute, the day of my daughters bday! She really nailed the decorating (color/theme) and mirrored the inspo cake so well. My inspo cake is from 1985 when I turned one and I wanted to recreate it for my daughter because she's my mini me! Thank you so much, Grace for saving the day and making my vision come to life. Forever my favorite baker/bakery/vons!”
