“As to date, do not follow Google map. Turn left on Elrod Avenue to NFCU instead of right. It is right behind the CDC on base.Great experience! We’re staying nearby for the Surf Cup Tournament and this location was less than 2 miles away. No lines and I was able to get in and out in no time, provided that they just opened for business on a Friday.The Staff were friendly and professional even showing me how to order cashier’s check in the app. The facility was cool and tidy. Drive-thru and ATM available. Plenty of disabled parkings, about 10 spots, with 2 spots for van accessible.”

If you want personalized service, this is definitely the place to go.I recently had my user name and password stolen. Obviously wanted to change account info. as soon as possible. Delia K. and Deanna P. to the rescue. They came up with a solution to my problem. They fixed my accounts and all the worry associated with stolen info. They not only resolved the situation but stayed long after the credit union had closed to make everything right. Talk about customer service! How many other banks or credit unions would do that?Just amazing.”

“We were loyal customers of Union Bank for over 40 years. Then UB was taken over by U.S. Bank out of Minnesota. It was quite the messy transition those first couple of weeks during which we were unable to access our online account and sat waiting for a representative on the phone for nearly half an hour on several occasions. On one of the calls, after expressing frustration at the long wait, the rep said with irritation: "Come to the bank and I will help you close your account." Yes, he actually said that!You may say, "Well, it was the first couple of weeks, they were probably very busy." Yes, and that is why you would hire extra people at that time to fill in the gaps. Obviously, Behemoth Bank did not need or want our business.HomeStreet Bank to the rescue, and in particular, Chuck Cadwalader, the bank manager over at the Mission Gorge branch. He showed us what true customer service looks like. He even came over to our home several times so we could sign paperwork, etc.What's more, Chuck is philanthropically active in our community. We would rather support a local bank that cares about us than a behemoth bank with lousy customer service from another state.The positive attitude, the friendly staff, the respect. Wow. Wish we'd transitioned sooner. But better late than never.”
