The best mechanics in San Diego — full stop. This a great family run business and they have very fair pricing and are HONEST. Their mechanics do excellent, quality work in a timely manner and the woman at the front desk is so incredibly sweet and kind. Only place I’ll be taking my cars moving forward!

Amazing customer service and fair prices! I've been coming here for years. They always take good care of my car. Their lobby waiting area is nice and spacious too. Sometimes I'll bring my laptop and work while I'm waiting for my oil change.

I can’t recommend this place enough! I broke my mirror badly and thought I would have to replace the whole thing. However, they were able to salvage the cover and save me $100 in parts from Honda! It probably would’ve been easier for them to simply replace the whole thing, but they went the extra mile to save me money. The couple who runs this place are so kind, professional, and quick. First mechanics I've ever trusted. Came in for a minor repair, Alan identified a leaky seal and gave a reasonable quote. He explained it wasn't urgent, and honored the quote six months later when I came in for another repair. I'd dislodged a cover on my undercarriage, and Alan repaired it when I was sure it'd need to be replaced.
This with be our go to shop for as long as we're here.

Highly recommend! My friend recommended this auto shop for my brakes and I was so impressed! They had front and back brakes done within 4 hours and for a fair price. They also made sure to call and quote me the price before performing any work. So easy to work with and I felt at ease bringing my car in here. We will be back for all of our car needs!

Sadly, have to update this review. Very disappointed with the end result of the brake job on my car... spent several hundreds of dollars for new brake pads, only to have them STILL squeaking, and feeling UNSAFE because it takes so long for the brakes to actually stop my car. In fact, I went to the tire store and they mentioned the wear on my TIRES due to excessive pressure applied RECENTLY BY BRAKES. I had my brakes looked at by another mechanic and they said my rotors never got touched (hence why the job was just a touch cheaper than somewhere else that would have completely replaced all of the rotors with the new pads) I didn't know this before, and I trusted MMAT, but now I know not to simply blindly trust someone/something, just because it sounds like a better deal. I had to go back and forth about 4 times to get brakes fixed and replacement of spark plugs. It was a colossal waste of time, money, and gas . I kept trusting that they knew what they were doing and had my best interest in mind, but sure enough- just another place looking to take money. They said I could come back in again and would work on the rotors for just the price of the parts , but why would I go back to a place that clearly cannot finish the job properly the first time? Or even the second, at that?? Sorely disappointed. Alan is very nice, and I was happy to work with him, but just a few weeks later, I am left with useless brakes and nearly $700 out of pocket.Lesson learned.

I was recommended this place by a coworker for general maintenance. I had some specific issues identified at another mechanic and dealership, but their description and prices were suspect so I was looking for a second opinion.I came to MM Auto Techs with an appointment and was quickly processed. Alan came out to get specifics from me and then his team went to work. A reasonable amount of time later Alan came out to explain their findings, much more thoroughly than anyone had before. I'm not a car guy, but I try to have a general understanding of them and Alan explained the issues very clearly and in a simple enough format for me to understand. They finished up the repairs and asked me to stop by some weeks later for a quick free evaluation to double check some of the issues.Overall a great experience, the office and waiting area are very nice. Decorated with Chinese decor and burning incense. There is free wifi and computers if you want to work while you wait.
