I have been in the mail exchange many times. The people are always so amazing and kind. They handle issues so very well, even when people are… less than nice to them. I will always keep coming back here even though I live 30 minutes away!

I recently visited for livescan fingerprinting as part of my certification process. Unfortunately, the experience was less than satisfactory. The scanning felt rushed and lacked attention to detail, as Amy did 4 fingers simultaneously + thumbs, without single finger scans or rolling the finger. Consequently, my prints were deemed inadequate (code L0008: the quality of the characteristics is too low to be used).
I returned for a re-scan to avoid additional fees and ensure compliance with protocols. However, I encountered a dismissive attitude from Amy, who stated she had never experienced issues with fingerprints in her five years of service, suggesting that the problem was solely mine. Despite my request for a re-scan—especially since one of my fingers was not scanning properly—I faced resistance. When I inquired about the potential for my prints to be rejected again, she deflected the concern, stating it was the FBI's jurisdiction and “not her responsibility”.
A week later, I sought a refund after successfully having my prints done elsewhere (First try at UPS). There was another customer ahead of me shipping packages so Amy asked her if she could do my refund quickly before returning to her. While we were talking, the customer walked out and Amy verbally blamed me, mentioning she's “losing another customer”. Additionally, she attempted to discuss an unrelated matter regarding the BCIA 8020 Name Check Request from the FBI, which was not applicable to my situation, as I was pursuing a livescan for a certification (medical) and not employment. On a positive note, Amy did apologize and mentioned that her fingerprint machine was malfunctioning, and I was able to receive my refund.
I would like to offer constructive feedback for improvement. It is crucial for customer-facing professionals to manage their frustrations effectively (i.e. not deflect onto the customer during challenging times) and provide courteous service, as this can significantly enhance the overall customer experience. I will not be returning and cannot recommend this business based on my experience. However, I hope my feedback can contribute to meaningful improvements.

Great small shop. I have used them for just about all their services advertised and they do it all very well. Highly recommended for both professionalism and great customer service.

This review is for the notary. she accepted and notarize a form that has the notary attestation on 2 separate pages. Which was not accepted by the clerk at the recorders office. I was advised that any notary should have known this is a California requirement. I remember the girl looking at the form and I asked what's wrong... she shrugged and said. "It's your form, are you wanting to sign this?" So we had 2 signatures . -30$ and it wasn't accepted. I mean. She could have just told me. I would have reprinted the form and still payed her. I like supporting small businesses. But it was so unprofessional! Next time I'll just go to fedex

I'm a senior citizen who recently stopped driving; also, am having difficulty walking without assistance. I needed to return a defective vacuum cleaner through UPS. Although a little unsure of how to get it done, I got Uber to deliver it to UC Exchange, and called Amy explaining what I needed. She received the box, sealed it up properly, printed the return label and had it ready for pick-up by UPS lickety split! So quick, so professional, and so upbeat and kind! With services like this, my physical limitations do not exclude me from interacting with the world. Thank you so much for your kind and professional service!

Went here to get some documents notarized. The lady was very helpful with clarifying the different services available (for example, I had never heard of a Jurat or why it can be needed), and once I made my choice it was quick and easy. Will use again.

dropped off 2 usps prepaid packages. I hadn't taped the labels on, and they were more than willing to help me out by taping them on. That was cool, however when i initially walked in, I asked the guy if they would be going out that night, (friday night, 5:10pm) he said no.Now honestly it's my own fault for not confirming it would go out Saturday. After receiving an email from my customers, I track the package and only then did I discover they are closed Sat and Sun, so the packages wont go out till Monday, and i'll be lucky if they get there before christmas.Bottom line, it was my own fault for making assumptions, but when its Friday night and someone asks if their package will be going out that night, just simply telling them no probably isnt sufficient when you know your store is closed saturday, and sunday, and their package wont be post marked till monday, and likely not till 5pm monday night...a couple more words would have really changed my decision to drop them off there. Like I said, its not the guys job to tell me what days theyre open and closed, but when you ask if your package is going out that night, you obviously care what day your package will go out.Since I had never been inside that store, the guy would have no reason to think I knew they were closed on Saturday. (Sunday is pretty obviously a different story, as no one should ever assume a mail store is open sunday, not that it matters since usps doesnt post mark on sunday anyway.but Saturday is another story, since every mailing store I've ever encountered are open, at least limited hours, on Saturday. Thanks for the tape... But itd be cool if you make sure people know their package wont go out till monday night when they drop something off friday night....especially when they ask you if itll still go out that night...Saturday...Sunday..Monday...Monday night....lame
