We went up to the door and there was a sign on it that the employee(s) are on a break. What? Never seen anything like that at the UTC Mall. This is a big company! You only had one employee that night? We were looking for to making lots of purchases and came to UTC Mac Store just for that. Ridiculous.

I went into the store looking to buy some lipstick. The lady behind the counter had a very cold attitude and seemed like she had no interest in helping me at all. I had asked her if she could help me identify a lipstick and she very reluctantly helped me. I would’ve bought more here since I’m out of foundation, but the only thing I wanted to do was leave, she made it feel so awkward. I did not feel supported or aided in my shopping experience. I will not be shopping here in the future.

Stephanie who works here was very rude and unkind. She had the worst customer service I have ever seen. After the attitude she gave us when we were recycling our eye shadows we decide to leave and when we went to get them back she threw our eye shadows back at us. Very very rude.

Really sad experience here. The girl was alone and had the worst attitude. She was treating all of us with very short answers and was making another customer feel d*** because she didnt know the product she wanted. I dropped all of my favorites and walked out the store instead. Mac please hire people that LoVe what they do.

Michelle at this MAC located in UTC MALL location was BEYOND accommodating!!!! She helped me and took the pleasure to assist with me the products as I forgot my make up bag at home, she matched my color and boom! Let me tell you, that helped and saved me a lot of time! She made the process seamless and professional! It's the little stuff that means something as it was my first time at this location I loved it because of her! She's great with multitasking and knows her stuff! Thank you, Diana

Maybe I just caught the staff here on a bad day, but bad service is bad service. I made an appointment nearly a week in advance to try out products for my wedding. On arriving, I was told they were understaffed and the person who'd be conducting my appointment would be stepping away to help other customers. (Note that I'd received no phone call that day attempting to reschedule my appointment or make me aware that my appointment would be difficult to honor due to insufficient staff.) I decided to proceed with the appointment since I'd gone to the effort of getting there, knowing she'd need to step away to help others. I empathized with her position--running the store and having an appointment. What I didn't anticipate was sitting in a chair waiting for over twenty minutes (now without a stitch of make-up on because I'd been asked to remove it while I waited) while the rep assisted one other customer to the extent that she was now seated in a chair next to me receiving nearly a full face of make-up. At no point did the make up artist attempt to balance time between me and this other customer by telling her that she'd need to step away briefly to assist me due to me having an appointment. The customer could even sense the strangeness with me sitting there next to her and asked the MAC rep, "are you busy?" Again, she did not say, "yes actually, let me match her foundation and then I'll come right back to you to help you with lip liner." After leaving work and ensuring I was on time to my appointment out of respect for their schedule, M.A.C. made no effort to respect my time and frankly made me feel like unwanted business. I should've received a call in advance offering to cancel my appointment due to them being short-staffed--which is something they knew in advance of me showing up and I did not. Or I guess I should've walked in to receive better service. The walk-in without an appointment who was eventually seated next to me received at least 15 minutes of dedicated time. I won't be going back to MAC based on this experience. I get better service at Sephora. I didn't call the site to offer feedback because I believe the rep serving me WAS the manager. To her credit, she acknowledged that it didn't go well when I decided to leave after about 25 minutes, but it was such a blatantly bad customer service experience that it's hard to believe it gets better than that. And another review below here recounts a similar experience. I've worked in retail and I wouldn't dream of handling time between two customers the way she handled it. Loss to you, MAC. I was probably going to buy more than $200 worth of make-up that evening and walked out with nothing. I'm also so sour on my experience there, I probably won't go back to other MAC stores either.
