Management at Luther Towers needs to be Changed. They are Disrespectful and Bullies which is why there is now a Contingency of Residents talking to the SDHC. I myself have been Harassed since the Day I Moved in. The Rent is Ridiculous considering the Lack of Apt. upkeep and Repair Negligence. I mean I was Assaulted and they Did NOTHING TO INSURE MY SAFETY!!!!

They charge a lot for a 350 Sq ft studio. That's like living in a jail cell or 2 by 4 box

Not as good and clean as I expected I found 2 bed bugs and thank GOD I found them before they could get into my mattress. This is the only place I have ever lived and saw bedbugs. SORRY but I am ready to move but that will take time and money, was not look to be moving again this is more than I want to deal with. Now I am on the lookout for all the bugs.

It's a good place to live. Rent is low, but place is real good. My rent is $1,208 for a one bedroom apartment. The whole place is being renovated. It's a senior living apts 55+. Everyone is great. Lots of extra things for us. Breakfast and lunch for $1, On holiday's a party is thrown food and non alcoholic beverages. End of the month a party is thrown for all who had a birthday. We have a social worker in the building. I would rate it 5 ?.

Some of the office employees can treat you rude. They try to boss you around and don't explain at first what figures they use to determine your qualifications. If you ask them to do it upfront it is better. Maybe this will help. Check the guideslines at the San Diego Housing Commision AMI Income Restrictions 2018. Luther Tower is a 60% AMI. So for a single person the limit is $40,920. That will change in April or May because it changes to the 2019 guidelines. They use your gross figure from your social security letter, the amount BEFORE they deduct for Medicare Part A. If you also work, they use the Gross figure once again for your total wages, including the Social Security wages and tips and Medicare wages and tips. If I had known that at first it would have cleared up a lot for me. Ask them to go over those things.

The property management at Luther Towers in San Diego discriminate against married couples. They say 55yrs and older can get in but if you are married and one spouse is a few years younger than the other they will refuse to let you rdnt even though one of you meets the age requirement. All other age restricted apartments say 55 and up and require ONLY ONE spouse be 55 or older. What do they expect you to do, get a divorce, rent the damn thing by yourself and tell your spouse to move elsewhere. Stupid policy and stupid staff. Get real if you're going to have age restriction then be realistic. What, now people have to be exact same age so when the get to 55 or older they can still live together when the rent a place. Guess what you can do with your apartment.
