This was our first time attending an event hosted by Liberty and I was so impressed at how well they took care of the military families, we look forward to attending many more!

We’ve had issues with the Miramar Liberty Housing team since move in! They have poor communication within the office, even worse follow through, and have left my family feeling discriminated against because I voiced my discontent with their make-ready maintenance. ????

Lived here for many years and I actually preferred when they were Lincoln. Service was faster and they actually would check in with families. Past year was the worst, when new neighbors moved in. They were allowed to have a random couple live them, multiple cars, stealing packages, and posting signs on their door and garage door with curse words. The noise is still horrible, I never heard my neighbors for the last 6 years. Liberty did and still didn't do anything. Look for a place our town with the new BAH increase. They have been charging our family full BAH with no pool, gym and other amenities for the community we live in.

We have been nothing but impressed by the staff here at the Milcon property. When there was an issue it was resolved and followed up with. Huge thanks to Vicente and Guy who were professionals and handled my issues beyond expectations. My family and I are sad to actually have to leave but if we get orders back to the local area-Mirmar Milcon will be our top choice!

Read all for full story.Move in was a breeze. We took advantage of their reside and apply program and moved into one community until a unit in another community became available. They packed and moved us to new community which was fantastic! Then I retired.......All due monies were to be collected from my final pay as per the move out documents.Unless you're a Marine apparently......They will do the absolute bare minimum to contact you if there is anything owed like a portion of your electric bill for example.15 months later and a collection pops up on my credit as I'm applying for a mortgage. When asked, why they didn't call me? "We're only required to send you a letter by law."I never received any correspondence nor can they actually prove anything was sent but here I am instead of them making it right. They're nothing more than an outside corporation trying to make as much money as possible. They got the contract........

I absolutely loved the Lincoln Housing team at Miramar! Since beginning of our move in, they were very helpful, courteous, and understanding; Not to mention being flexible with Uncle Sam's horrible timing with elongated automated payment processes. Other than that, this team has done much to help me and my family during and after deployment to included helping us exit housing peacefully & smoothly. Even when Uncle Sam made another error, they were flexible in making sure I had the facts to get the discrepancy solved. I'll always come with a giant smile!! Thank you!

I lived on Miramar for one year. Our oldest child (6) loved the neighborhood and made so many friends. Very safe neighborhood as it is the only housing community gated in SD. Maintenance provided wonderful service every time we had a problem. We moved only due to buying a house and we still come back to visit the playgrounds and old friends. Our Move out experience was exceptional as well, thank you guys!We have been in SD a while so lived in Serra Mesa housing as well. Was not a pleasant experience with staff and moving out was so stressful with them as was the high bill in move out fees. With Miramar, nothing of that sort!No regrets and very appreciative:)

Long story short Lincoln failed me on multiple levels.1) not honoring my written 30 day notice to move out and stop allotment2) they violated the Fair Debt and Collection Practices Act. After I gave them notice of their payment request and directed Lincoln to speak to my attorney. Lincoln did not honor that email because I received a threatening phone call from Merna (MCAS Miramar Office) requesting payment.Bottom line is Lincoln needs to revisit their commitment to service members and their business practices. Attached is the poorly filled out inspection sheet with no pre-inspection and request to replace three old carpet (not in accordance to California tenet laws)

We had some initial concerns after moving into our home given a unique situation that I will not go into here (not the fault of Lincoln or the leasing center just to be clear! Or anyone’s fault for that matter just a unique situation) The leasing center and maintenance staff were lightning quick to address any concerns that we had and they were very professional, empathetic, and quick to offer us anything they could do to give us peace of mind about the situation. Since then I have also had some general maintenance requests that have been done at lightning speed and the workers have been so kind and fast and courteous! At the Leasing center, every person we have encountered has been so friendly and helpful. We feel like we could not be in any better hands than we are in at this community!

This place is poorly managed at best. I lived here for about 4 1/2 years because it was the best location for my spouse an I. We had great neighbors, but that was about the only good thing. The appliances were low grade. We complained about our faulty refrigerator three times before it finally just stopped working. Luckily our renters insurance covered all the food we lost. Half of the lighting fixtures in the house did not work properly. I brought this up to maintenance several times and each time they just put new bulbs in, which would then go out in a month. There was a large amount of mold in our master bathroom. The one time they came out to fix it they just replaced a small section of wall next to the tub. Six months later the mold came back because they never checked the rest of the bathroom. When we finally got orders out of there I went into the office to give a 30 day notice and schedule inspections. The gentleman at the desk told me that since we were doing our final inspection on the morning of the 2nd that we would only have to pay for the 1st. On the day of the inspection I was told that I had to pay for the 1st and 2nd. The manager eventually said I would not have to pay it because that employee no longer worked there so she had no way of knowing for sure. I verified two times with them that they had stopped the allotment from my paycheck for BAH and was told I was good and would not be charged. Here I am at the end of the month, short $3K because they took my BAH for rent on a house that I don't live in. This was even after paying for the one day of the month that I actually did live there (a check that they cashed very quickly). I called the office and was told "the assistant manager will call you right back". 3 hours later I had to call back and was told "we don't know anything yet, we're waiting for accounting". A professional would have called prior to that and said "I am waiting for a response from accounting". If you are E6 and above in the San Diego area avoid these people at all cost as your BAH will afford you a decent place out in town. If you're E5 and below... Sorry about your luck but there isn't much else of a choice in the price range.

Money-grubbing, terrible amenities, where there are any amenities, horrible appliances! And, they reserve the right to come into your home when you're not there!

I would give 5 stars, because I did enjoy living here over the past few years. It was an over all quite, peaceful neighborhood, and maintenance came when I needed and fixed everything in a timely manner. I’m giving a one star review today because at the end of the day they are greedy and do not put the needs of military families first. Ironic since the word military is in their name. When my husband and I needed to vacate rather abruptly, they forced us to pay an additional 30 days of rent because we did not give them 30 days notice. I understand that is part of the lease agreement, but that’s how military life goes. You may expect to be here for a few more months then the next day it all changes. We had all the proper paper work showing we were not suppose to go to the next duty station until around Thanksgiving. Still having time to inform them of when we needed to move out. As of last Friday we were told we need to be to the next location in the next week or two. We also had paper work proving the sudden change and need to vacate. They clearly have no compassion and rejected our need to break our lease agreement. It’s great now to have to worry about paying for this house for another 30 days while trying to fine the money to pay for our next home at our next station. If you can avoid doing business with Lincoln Military Homes it would probably be in your best interest. Just Incase the military decides to do what they love doing best, making you leave your current location at the drop of a hat. I would have thought living in military housing they would be the most understanding, because this is how life in the military goes. Guess I was wrong. Im very disappointed and frustrated how things ended with Lincoln.
