Amazing bookstore! The material covers a lot of marginalized groups and writers very well. The book clubs are also tons of fun!

My favorite bookstore ever! Love the selection, you can tell it’s curated with intention. Everytime I come to SD I stop by here to buy earrings & rings, and see what books I can add to my collection. They also have local poets featured. Love to see them supporting the community.

San Diego is so blessed to have this bookstore here!! The folks are so informed about the books and kind. The book selection speaks to my radical heart. And not only is this a bookstore, but it is a community space rooted in liberation. Their book selection ranges from intersectionality to feminism to LGBTQ+ to chican@ and Indigenous writers. And so much more, both fiction and nonfiction. Walking into the bookstore, I’m inspired by Octavia Butler, G Gloria Anzaldua, bell hooks and adrienne maree brown. A feeling of belonging and care. That’s what it means to be in community. All to say, this is one of my favorite bookstores. And a perfect spot for a first date. ?

Libélula is our family favorite book store with the loveliest people, who are incredibly helpful, with the best selection. My daughter and I often go after school and spend time in the graphic novel section but our most recent purchase was a political primer and Christy Road’s tarot deck + book. I can’t say enough about how highly I recommend Libélula!

Poor selection that was heavily focused on trams and bisexual literature and knick knacks.

One of my favorite places in SD I always bring my friends to this safe heaven. I get lost in conversation or in books. They always give me amazing book recommendations. If they don’t have the book they’ll order it for you <3 I always come out feeling happy! Love them so much /.\ <333 they also have two beautiful cats ????

Absolutely loved this book shop! From the sidewalk sale of discounted gently used books to the eclectic decor on the inside, this shop was a pleasure just to browse. With reasonable price points, of course I had to pick up a few things. Besides books, they have a wide variety of magnets, stickers, pins, and other knick knacks. My eyes were constantly moving and engaged, never knowing what to settle on. I loved the way they labeled the sections of books, covering all your basics, romance, horror, self-help, queer, occult, Spanish and childrens. Everyone was so approachable and friendly. What an awesome staple for the community!

It's such a sweet spot. Locally owned, its the perfect place to find some amazing treasures. Cool stickers, vintage items, and, of course, books! The owner is beyond nice. The kitty is a plus! Definitely recommended.

Such a welcoming space, had good selection of books and little trinkets. The shop keeper was friendly and even gave me some insight on the book I bought.

Buy your books from people selling books not making rockets.
But real talk safe and wonderful. Books clubs, queerness galore. Pro-Black. In the Barrio?
What more could you ask for???
