When I arrived at Lawrance Furniture, I was greeted by the lovely Esther, who was warm, friendly, and eager to help, but didn't pressure us at all. She let us browse and checked in with us periodically. In the end, we decided on two different couches, and Esther helped us get exactly what we wanted, even securing us a discount. She was amazing to work with, and I highly recommend this store to anyone looking for contemporary furniture.

Sheelagh, my sweet superhero, you're #1 there. Recently I made the spontaneous decision to move to San Diego. Me, my cat and wallet. Furnishing an apartment isn't necessarily a difficult thing to do. Going to some second-rate, cheap furniture store and stocking up on necessities is easy. Making your space somewhere you really yearn to be at after a day out, is not. Personalizing it to fit your taste with curated, quality pieces that will last is really the only way to go. I've had a lot of experience with SA's. Granted, Im not always inclined to upkeep looks when shopping and it usually results in first impressions being poor, it wasn't the case with Sheelagh! She greeted me with warmth regardless of my unkempt apparel, and gleefully showed me designs linked to what my tastes were. Ask for Sheelagh! Won't fail you.

Truly an amazing experience! My fiancé and I were looking for a specific couch and this store had the exact brand with more selections to chose from. From the moment we talked on the phone with Esther to meeting her in person we knew she was our girl! She accommodated us with such warmth and helped us through some tough choices. The selection in this store is absolutely beautiful, highly recommend checking this place out! Ask for Esther!

We bought a top of the line leather couch here and we are very happy with our purchase and experience. Esther was knowledgeable and professional and really knew the product. She helped design the perfect pullout for our space. When the couch was ready for delivery, Rocky helped us choose a time and was helpful with our HOA specifications. George and Tyree delivered a white glove service with their efficiency and thoroughness. We would definitely recommend a purchase at this store.

High quality furniture and a reasonable choice of designs without being overwhelming. Luke was superb in helping quickly pick out the item, identify stock available and get delivery set up. He was also responsive by text and emails for questions or clarifications. Highly recommended!

Very nice store. We went today for first time. Lots of pieces with unique but functional design. Hillcrest showroom is quite large for the area. I didn’t realize it’s been here since 1937 and family owned. We saw many items we’d like to buy in future. Friendly service.

We worked with both Colleen and Esther who are both very knowledgeable, helpful and friendly. We got a great bed set, tv console, and rug. Rocky coordinated the delivery which was on time. George and Tyree did a fabulous job of putting the bed together and setting up everything. They are very friendly, courteous and cleaned everything up before they left. All in all it has been a wonderful experience working with Lawrance.

I came in look for bar stool chairs and was immediately helped by the kindest lady, Esther. She was quick and efficient and even let me walk out with the chairs right off the floor. Then, i saw a couch that was amazing and she quickly came to my apartment to take measurements. ALL IN THE SAME DAY. Esther is fabulous, from now on - I am a client for life! Italian furniture without Italian price tag.

My husband and I went to Lawrance store on University Avenue hoping to take advantage of the 4th of July Sale to get two Stressless recliner chairs. Colleen greeted us when we entered the store, and she helped us find exactly what we were looking for. We were able to get two Norwegian Stressless brand recliner chairs at a great discount. Colleen was very knowledgeable about the product, and she did a great job of explaining our options in terms of size, style and color. This is our second major purchase at Lawrance, and we can say that Lawrance stocks high quality furniture and provides helpful, friendly, and knowledgeable staff.

We purchased a set of expensive ($250 each) dining room chairs 4.5 years ago. The buying experience was good, and we were led to believe that we were buying quality furniture. We were told that the chairs were made of high-quality vinyl that would last a lifetime. What we ended up with were Chinese-made chairs that are falling apart, literally. The vinyl is crumbling off. The chairs were never cleaned with any chemicals. We have never seen anything like this before. Warning other buyers not to buy vinyl furniture made in China from Lawrance, no matter what the salesperson says.
