Cute vintage motel, nice rooms. Super disturbed by someone screaming in agony lurking behind the motel in the middle of the night. Not sure what exactly was happening. We notified the authorities to come help this person in distress but does not seem an entirely safe environment.

Loved the motel the restaurants ect my only complaint was the front desk lady with red hair and glasses we 1st encountered she was very rude! Didn't get her name unfortunately. She was there on May 25th 2024 around 10 30 am. Maybe she needs retrained in how to treat and speak to customers The other one much nicer and thankfully only dealt with her the rest of our stay.Rooms: NaNearby activities: NaFood & drinks: Na

The hotel offers good service. Clean rooms, clean pool area.Very good Mexican restaurant with a 10% discount for hotel guests. We initially thought that the proximity to the road was a noise problem. But it's not. The problem is the extreme clairaudience. They will witness toilet use, showering and every step taken by your neighbor or from the rooms above you. It's nice when everyone finally goes to bed.I think $15 per night for Parker is unnecessary.

First saw this place on our honeymoon 17 years ago and always wanted to stay. Finally had the chance this week and it didn't disappoint. Was very eager to try The Waffle Spot, man I was so stuffed after breakfast! Been to numerous places for breakfast and this was by far on top of the list. Will return and try the Mexican restaurant and hit The Waffle Spot again!

$15 PARKING CHARGE TO USE THEIR PARKING AND NO OTHER OPTION TO PARK OUT FRONT SINCE IT IS ILLEGAL. ALSO $100 DEPOSIT MANDATORY ON CREDIT CARD TO STAY. THESE WERE NOT MENTIONED ON THEIR WEB PAGE BEFORE I BOOKED. WILL NOT STAY HERE AGAIN!

Don’t expect a luxury resort, but the rooms are clean, staff are friendly, and you’re still within relatively short driving distance to the Zoo, USS Midway, San Diego Air & Space Museum, San Diego Automotive Museum, Sea World and more.Although right near the Interstate, it’s surprisingly quiet. There’s a pool, a couple of great restaurants on-site, and a liquor store a short walk next door if you need a cold one after a hot day at one of the attractions.Rooms: Simple but clean. If you’re like me and essentially just want a clean bed to sleep in between excursions….Food & drinks: The Waffle Spot is great for breakfast and The Amigo Spot great for dinner & drinks.** just be aware of the open hours for both as they’re “short-ish” **

Absolutely loved staying here! All the staff were just wonderful! Beautiful colours everywhere with turquoise being the focal colour. It's my favourite colour so maybe I'm biased but I thought this motel was awesome. The pool was amazing, I spent quite a bit of time in it, and although it didn't feel heated as the website says, it was still a great temperature. I didn't get to the hot tubs but there were plenty of people using it! The restaurants were fantastic and the food was delicious. Will definitely stay here again!Rooms: Cleaned every day, great size, comfortable beds.Walkability: Walkable to the Crust Kitchen and the liquor store, but not anywhere else. The motel is right on the bus route though and it takes you right to the train station. The transit system in San Diego is fantastic.

I loved my two night stay at Kings Inn. The hotel is exceptionally well maintained and presented. No weeds or rubbish anywhere outside. The room was clean and comfortable, with contemporary decor. The air conditioning masked any noise from the interstate and provided a peaceful night's sleep. The Waffle Spot and Amigo Spot restaurants are both fun, fast and serve good food. The pool looked great but unfortunately the weather was cloudy and a bit too chilly to use it in the evenings. I only wish my stay had been longer, and if I'm ever in San Diego again I wouldn't consider staying anywhere else.

Half a mile from Interstate 8, this 1960s-style budget hotel flanked by palm trees is 5 miles from the San Diego Zoo, Balboa Park and SeaWorld San Diego.Accessed via exterior corridors, the casual rooms feature vintage black-and-white photography, and come with free Wi-Fi and flat-screen TVs, plus minifridges and coffeemakers. Upgraded rooms add private patios. Microwaves are available for a fee. From there website"Parking is complimentary."There's also a pair of relaxed restaurants; 1 offers Mexican cuisine, a bar and regular live music. Other amenities include a hot tub, a heated outdoor pool, event space and a coin-operated laundry.
