We bought our Subaru Outback here in 2017 and have had nothing but great experiences since. I took my car in today for a check up and everyone was SO nice and helpful, especially Angel. That kind of service goes such a long way, it really made my day. Thank you! :)

Neal and Jimmy were wonderful to work with, they made our experience at Kearny Mesa Subaru easy and stress free. This was our first Subaru and we absolutely love our beautiful new Outback. We look forward to being part of the Kearny Mesa Subaru Family for many years to come!

Had a really great experience with getting my Outback serviced. Up until today, I had no idea why my car kept have the same issues, but Erik Gomez and the rest of the team were quick, knowledgeable, and - most importantly - helpful with running the diagnostic, deciphering the issue, and communicating it back. Everybody I spoke with was super kind and I'll definitely be going back (hopefully not too frequently) with any maintenance needs. Highly recommend.

Just purchased a 2021 Subaru Forester on October 6th with only 10,340 miles on it. My sales person, Daisy, is the only reason this review has two stars instead of one. She was responsive, knowledgeable, helpful, and kind throughout the process. During my test drive, it was pulling to the left so the sales manager Reshid agreed to fix the issue as part of the sale. Then when I came in for the fix, I waited FOUR hours to find out that it wasn't an alignment, but rather, all four tires had different tread (4,5,6, and 7). The 4 and 5 were on the driver's side which is why it was pulling. Service said the only way to fix the pulling would be to replace all four tires and then Reshid said I would have to pay for them. I pushed back because my contract said they would fix the problem as part of the sale. Reshid then called me the next day to offer to pay for two tires and I would have to pay for two. I pushed back again and then the next day Chadd the Sales GM called me and he offered to replace all four and do the alignment if needed. I was very satisfied with this even though they would be putting on the very cheapest out of 74 tire options at the dealership and not the four Reshid had recommended when they were pushing me to buy two. He recommended Bridgestone, and Chadd ordered Laufenn. Nevertheless, Chadd told me to come in the next day and it would take 1-1.5 hours and I was fine with that (see photos).I got there when he asked me to come in and waited over two hours to find out they didn't even have the tires. They forced me to take a rental and kept my Subaru over the weekend. Then today, Monday, I was told it could take until Tuesday. I have plans tomorrow so I asked if I could get it today. They texted me it was ready and I just picked it up. To my dismay, after spending six hours at the dealership last week and having to leave the car there for three days, the car is still pulling to the side. Furthermore, the invoice has inaccurate information on it and it's incomplete. It says that the customer said the steering wheel was crooked and when I asked John in service why it said this he said that's what HE told the technician. It doesn't say they replaced all four tires for some reason (they did, but it doesn't say so), only that they checked pressure. It also says they adjusted the toe specs back to factory settings but nothing about the camber or caster, so perhaps that's why the vehicle is still pulling. In addition, I now have scuff marks over 3 of the 4 tire wells that weren't there when I brought it in. I asked John to document this and he said the scuffs would come out with a detailed buff and they don't document scuffs bc they aren't deep enough. He also said if I wanted them to buff them out it would have to go through sales and I'd have to leave the car there AGAIN. I had asked for my wipers to be replaced and after sitting in service for three days, they were sitting in my front seat at pick up. John came out and replaced them by popping off the old ones and throwing them over the vehicle in an aggressive manner. The entire exchange felt rushed and unprofessional, which was surprising because John had a kind demeanor last week. I realize they were doing this as part of the bumper to bumper warranty but I also gave them a check for 32k last week, so it's not like they were doing me a favor. I was really looking forward to writing a positive review. I was SO STOKED when I bought the car. I thought for sure they were reputable and trustworthy. If everyone had the same care and professionalism as Daisy, I would have. But sadly, I cannot recommend buying a car or getting any service here since scuffing your car, having you wait long periods to not even fix the problem, and lying on invoices is acceptable to them. It looks like Subaru National City has much better reviews, so I'll definitely try them for future service. Good luck out there, folks.

I had a pretty good experience as a first time buyer. I had never bought a car for myself and visited several subaru dealerships looking for the car I wanted. Kearny mesa was the only one that was immediately forthcoming with window sticker and out-the-door price requests. They were not dodgy nor made me feel like I was being taken advantage of.The staff is kind and lack the "scheeming car salesman" vibe.

4 stars overall (5 stars to Sarah and -1 star to Jay from finance)5 stars to Sarah: Sarah did an impressive job. She is very professional (she is more professional and mature than she looks).-1 star to Jay from finance: Jay is not very professional and he is kind of emotional especially considering his age (around 45 to 50). We went to his office for the paperwork. Things were fine at the beginning. In the middle of the paperwork, we made a mistake (this mistake actually was really understandable, I do not want to go to details as I do not want to reveal too much of my information). We apologized. However, his attitude still changed dramatically, he raised his voice immediately and became impatient. He then complained that his computer was slow and got freezed, and he was kind of mad at the computer. We knew he was not mad at the computer, he was mad at us. I think it was a hair's width away for him to say the "F" word. The atmosphere became kind of tense and really uncomfortable. Actually, that mistake took at most 5 minutes to fix. It was not a good experience with Jay.

There are some parts that are cheaper than generic parts.. shocking, I know. You can order the parts online or have them match the price.I bought brake oil, rotors, and oil filters.

Terrible experience, my cross bars came with all hardware missing, and the feet that attached to the roof missing. Will be asking to get my money back

On hold 3 times for the longest time and no one could just answer if my car is ready from service. On top of that, super disorganized especially when checking my car in. Literally no one else but me as a customer at that point and 4 desk workers not helping me because I have to wait for the one guy who isn't available? Terrible. However someone named Matt finally came through and saved the day. So thank you Matt.

I have been going to Kearny Mesa Subaru for service to service two cars over many years. It's always a pleasure working with Erik Gomez. He was especially helpful when our newly leased car needed service during the pandemic quarantine. He used his expertise to ensure that I received all the benefits allowed to me as the lessee of a new vehicle. Overall, the location is very busy, but the crew is always hustling. I imagine it's hard to keep up with the demand but you all do a great job!

I purchased all weather floor liners. There are excellent, but the shipping was expensive. I live in San diego and the cost was 25. It’s the same city the store and the shipping address .
