When you make an appointment to get your car check you expect them to have a diagnostic by the end of the day if they are short in staff than they shouldn't be making appointments just to have your car sit in the dealership without being check and they don't even take the time to answer the calls or explain what's going on if they explain they won't be able to check your truck we have the option to leave it or bring it back but no they just don't care to leave you without your car for the whole weekend when you depend on your truck to move around with your family and to work I think this is such a bad experience they should work in their communication

This could have been a five-star review. The sales person we worked with was kind, low pressure and incredibly friendly.I paid cash and got the platinum warranty on the assurance that I could cancel within the first few months. I did some research and found the warranty was useless and tried to cancel. After a month of leaving messages and getting no response back from the finance department, I went in to cancel in person. Two months later the charges continued, I called the actual insurer who provides the warranty and low and behold they never got the cancellation request from Kearny Mesa Chevy, that allegedly I sat there and watched the finance guy fill out.Unbelievable dishonestly.

After doing a lot of research about electric cars, my wife and I decided to purchase a Chevy Bolt EV. Next, I researched local Chevy dealers to determine availability of the car we wanted at a price that didn't seem relatively ridiculous. At around 9 PM on Thursday, I found a great option at Kearny Mesa and started the purchase process on line. I did about all I could do on line and decided to call the dealership the next morning to 9 AM when they open. At 8:15 AM, Hannah called me from Kearny, said the car was definitely available, she had my info, and she was ready to help me get the car. I was at the dealership by 9:30 AM, met up with Hannah, test drove the car, made the deal, and drove it home at 12:20 PM. Hannah, my sales person was phenomenal. Her boss, Gabe, was very pleasant, and unlike other sales managers I've dealt with, he didn't try to up-sell me on anything. He and Hannah even helped insure I got my $500 GM military discount. That was very refreshing. Her financial manager, Ross, was exceptionally effective and efficient as well as friendly and personable. Even the receptionist was remarkably pleasant and friendly.I can honestly say that this was the best new car buying experience of my life, and I've bought at least 10 new cars over the years. Hannah was the real star of my whole experience. If she is any indication of the overall customer service quality of Kearny Mesa Chevrolet, then they will become my favored Chevy dealership in this area.

We just got a new EUV CHEVY BOLT! Sam Perry was really an informative agent. The Bolt is really roomy in the back seat plus the truck space has a deep compartment. We looked at the Prius and Prius Prime but it has been downsized. Back is really small. We are so happy to have an electric car that is so beautiful, roomy and quiet. We will get 240 miles per charge and plan on doing a lot of visiting.Thank you again Sam for making our car buying a great experience!Peace and Kindness,Jill and Ray

I purchased a vehicle from this place around two months ago paid for the car in full and I never received my proper paperwork from the DMV. I called to ask for some help wondering why my registration and tags have not came in the mail, and all they could give me was that it was still in the process through the DMV. Well here we are two months later I called them back for some help and all they have to say is that I have to go to the DMV. Customer service here is completely horrible. They are so fast to sell you a vehicle. Take your money and try to sell you more upgrades that you don't need and when it comes time for them to help you, it is completely nonexistent. Every vehicles that I have purchased anywhere else they cleave always taken care of all the dmv paper work.

I have been buying cars for 40 years and I have to say this was my best experience ever with a dealership!! these guys are wonderful!!My sales associate was Slava Gaziev, he is what all other sales people aspire to be. He was extremely professional with the best bedside manner! I would highly recommend checking these guys out.Oh-- and it was the best price by a long shot over other dealers I look into!I couldn't be happier with the overall experience!

I came in with my husband to buy a new truck. Originally, we were planning on trading in our 2022 Colorado but somehow, in a period of about six months or less, it depreciated by a whooping $7K! We had brought it for inspection to sell six months ago or so and they offered us $1K more than what it was worth... but anyway. That is a story for a different day!Because I had done through BK the truck was to be on my husband's name only. I've worked in lending and finance. I know that his business is his only as long as my name is not on the title. However, my husband has never bought a car on his own. I was trying to explain some facts to him when it comes to buying a vehicle. In fact, I did most of the "dealing" per se. He just signed.Originally, we were going to downgrade for a used truck to lower the monthly payment and get more space. However, the stock was limited. They continued to push a previously used courtesy vehicle or something alone those lines but we did not want that truck. It was not within our budget and it was just not what my husband wanted. I had to tell that specific manager that he DID NOT WANT THAT TRUCK. Period. He seemed upset. Even the salesman was questioning the price of the vehicle because salesman showed us the price online and it was $41K total whereas this manager (we will call him manager one) said it was a little over $43K. He was also so upset the salesman was questioning him. That situation was odd in its own. After that, manager one did not come in to the room anymore. We were looking at the numbers for a used vehicle but thankfully manager two came into the room. He was wearing suit and tie attire so I knew it was something serious. I simply though my husband did not qualify. However, he came and told us: look, you're about to spend more on an used truck than a brand new one. We looked into a brand new 2023 Silverado and the numbers were, in fact, very similar. The difference was about $200 from what we pay now so we did the deal. Manager two was simply looking out for us. I was blindsided because we had no money for a down payment but he made it work. My husband got a brand new truck with much more space and no down payment. We were all happy! I had to leave and I told the salesman: hey, my husband will not say no but please only sell him GAP. He doesn't need anything else. He simply said: that's up to him. Knowing that he was going to pursue him... and he did unfortunately. The payment went up by about $100 extra a month. I will admit, that is my husband's fault though. He simply does not know how to say NO. Overall, my experience here was pleasant. I wish it would've taken less time (husband spend about seven hours there). But I do recommend!

Took my car in for an oil change and inspection post road trip. I've only been to one other Chevy service center in San Diego - Courtesy Chevrolet and I hate them and refuse to go back. It's taken me months to consider going to another Chevy dealership but I'm glad I gave KM Chevy a chance. The gentleman I worked with was polite and respectful and thorough. He asked all the questions and waited for responses and gave me feedback on concerns and next steps. I was there on a lightly busy day but there was a waiting area with a TV, pub height tables and seating and lower lounge seats. I discovered they are dog-friendly which is good to know because next time I might need to bring one of my four-legged baby girls to accompany me. There were several people waiting for their cars but the service center was clearly on top of things because it moved quickly. When my car was ready he came and found me in the waiting area. He went through each line item and rang in the coupon code I had and gave me my bill and sent me on my way. Two weeks later, car is running great and driving great. I'm happy.

This review is for Service only. Great experience with service writer Laith. I was late for my appointment, but he checked me in promptly anyway. He validated that the initial issue I came in for was in fact a non-issue. But he went above and beyond by checking my new-to-me car's service history. He uncovered that I had a couple of outstanding open recalls that needed to be completed and confirmed that he had the parts in stock. So we decided to do that instead. Their official courtesy shuttle has been discontinued since COVID, but he got me an unofficial ride to my office (shh!) which was literally two blocks away. Super cool. Called when the work was complete and left me a message. Car was ready to go in the service line when I arrived. I was a little irked that someone adjusted my seat, but nowadays, who doesn't? unfortunately...

They seem legit. Very organized mass Dropoff this morning. Lots of service reps checking in vehicles. Waiting area is comfortable, clean, coffee is on-demand and tasty.

I'm shocked that there are so many 1-star reviews. I guess people generally have nothing to report unless they're pissed off and spent a lot of money. Well, I'm very glad that my experience was straightforward even though I was made aware that they were operating with a skeletal staff. Rakan was my service advisor and he greeted me in my vehicle right as I pulled up. I already had an appointment for an oil change + tire rotation and I was also expressing a concern over my brakes and TCS warnings. He was transparent with how much time I could be waiting and he gave me an estimate as to how much everything would cost. I wasn't blindsided, cajoled, or pestered into anything like some others on here. I agreed to all my terms, signed my papers, left my keys, and called a Lyft to a mall nearby. Fast forward a few hours after lunch and a glass of wine ;) I was called to pick up my truck at the time I was told it would be ready. So I picked her up and rolled away with fresh oil and no warning signals. It's certified service and I'm not complaining. I knew what I was paying for.
