We are so thankful to have chosen Kanes K9 rescue when deciding to adopt our first pup! We immediately got a response when reaching out to see if “Leia” was available and if we could go see her. We drove up to Alpine to see her and a bunch of other cute doggies and see how they interacted with each other and us. We were in love immediately. They made it a very easy process and answered all our questions. When we were having some issues with our landlord before pick-up they understood and showed no frustration when we had to delay a few days before bringing her home. They truly care about all their rescues and finding a good home for them. She came spayed and chipped which was very nice. If it wasn’t our first dog together we very well would have came home with more! Here we are 4 months later just as in love and excited to have our girl. Best decision ever. Can’t give enough thanks to Kanes K9 team for bringing this light of our life into our lives!!!

We loved working with Kane’s K9s to find our new kitties after the passing of our 16 year old family cat. They were incredibly responsive with our application and allowed us to meet the kittens to find the right fit for our loud household. Everyone was so wonderful to work with throughout the adoption process. Their cats are well socialized and vetted to identify their best family match. I highly recommend going to them for your best pet rescue adoption!

Can't express enough our gratitude and appreciation for Lacey and Kane's K9 rescue! We had a pregnant stray cat show up and give birth to 4 kittens a few weeks ago. We took them in, but since we've never been around cats, we had no idea what to do and started looking for a rescue to get them the appropriate care they needed. Lacey was quick to reach out on Facebook and offered to take all 5 in. Upon meeting up with her, she explained to us what the care plan was going to be & was receptive in keeping in contact for updates. She has been amazing in giving us updates on the kittens and mom since. Lacey and her rescue definitely go above and beyond in caring and providing a safe environment for them.

I recently adopted a beautiful kitty named Miso from Kane's K9. But I had to return him after three months due to my health. I was so devastated as I had bonded and loved my little guy! I worried what would happen to him. Lacy knew how upset I was and was very caring and reassuring that he would be re-adopted into a new home, or she would adopt him herself. She truly gave it her all, and it wouldn't take too long before Miso was re-adopted into his new home. Lacy, thank you for all you did, and for sending me pictures of Miso, to show me how well he is doing! I will be forever grateful to you, Lacy you are the best! I highly recommend Kane's K9 for any adoptions!

My husband and I got our girl Nova (formerly Magick) from Kane’s K9s at an adoption event at Alpine Kahoots. The staff is so nice, helpful, and considerate. Before we adopted Nova they answered all of our questions and were very kind! Almost immediately after adopting her, we received all of her documents and records and we even got some puppy pictures! Such an incredible experience.A few weeks after we got Nova, we went back to Kahoots to visit at another Kane’s adoption event. Nova got to see her foster mom who had her from the time she was a few days old to the time she was adopted and Nova was so excited! It is so amazing to see how well taken care of these animals are and how much these animals love their foster families! I know they are in great hands.Thank you so much to Kane’s for completing our little dog family and for filling a void in our hearts we didn’t know we had. We are so grateful!

I am a volunteer with Kane's and have had a great experience working with their organization. I specifically have helped care for kittens via their adoption program and truly get so much out of helping these animals find forever homes. I am very grateful for the efforts Kane's makes to save animals from kill shelters, giving them another chance at life!

Very rude on the phone and makes you feel bad, and tells you that she feels bad for your dog. Worst place to talk to about rehoming your dog.

My family just adopted a puppy from Kanes K9’s animal rescue. The process was so easy and quick. I worked with Patti who was fostering the pups we saw at an adoption event, she was very knowledgeable about the dogs and their behaviors. I highly recommend adopting a pet from Kanes K9’s

We adopted an older old mama Shepard. We have had her over a year now, we love her so much. The perfect addition to our family. We feel so lucky to have found Kanes K9s. Lacey was amazing and helpful!

Kane’s K9s is the most inspirational rescue that is located in SD. I am constantly reminded that there are good people out there because of how Lacey cares and rescues puppies/dogs in unfortunate life threatening scenarios. I adopted my pup Sancho from this rescue and can not express how much he has changed my life for the better. When I adopted him he was up to date on shots, microchipped, and fixed. This is not as common as people may think. Kane’s K9s goes out of their way to make sure every dog is healthy upon adoption. They pay out of pocket for all procedures , vaccinations, and treatments. They are a blessing to all of us! If you ever are considering adopting do so through Kane’s K9s. If you can donate please do as this rescue is a non profit and can always use the help so they can continue to help helpless pups all over southern CA and Mexico. Thank you Kane’s K9s for your kind work that is changing dogs lives for the better.
