Front counter guys are nice, but......Little to no duct work in stock.After placing order for a t-wye, start collar and 2 disc dampers. They filled 4 other contractors' orders who came in after with larger orders and i was left waiting for over half an hour for an order that is typically filled within 5 minutes.

I use this location all the time. The people treat me with respect and cover warranty great. I've been going there for over 10 years and never have had reason to complain. The front manager Rick always is helpful and knowledgable and Manny at the counter is very knowledgable also. Great place to get materials if in downtown area as long as your a contractor.

So I walk into the store knowing what part I need and about where it is in the book, been shopping at this location for over 10yr. Rick Marin directs me over to the computer and promptly asks me what unit i am working on, I ignore the question and tell him i need a RobertShaw Gas valve. He asks again What unit i am working on. I break down and tell him its for a Bollodget Pizza oven. He flippantly starts to drone on about how "we only sell parts for Heaters and Air conditioning" "not rated for high temp" bla bla bla "people come in all the time and i tell them to goto Coast appliance"(p.s. coast only does "domestic").... IDIOT . I goto the blodget site ,i call them. I find the robert shaw number. I goto Johnston site and there it is. The part was $250..... I went back in ,flip open his book and and ordered it. Moral of the story, How many lost sales? How many pissed off techs ( a screwdriver does not know if its commercial or domestic, it just does its job). This is why you are losing costumers to the internet .Same employee two different days Insisted they didn't have a 72" t-couple for a commercial pizza oven.... i picked it off the shelf and installed it ( same manufacturers part number). This is absolutely the worst place for any HVAC company to do business! First of all they have a revolving door of employees. Literally every time I shop there they have new employees I've never seen before which is a big red flag in itself. Another problem is that most of the time they don't have basic parts that any normally functioning distributor should have in stock and they have to order the parts so customers need to wait for days for repairs. I usually just end up going somewhere else. I don't understand how they stay in business. They have wasted my time on too many occasions do to their incompetence and I refuse to do business with them any longer. The only reason I put up with them at all is because they are located close to my business. Do yourself a favor and go to United or Sigler or ANY OTHER distributor and avoid the headache of Johnstone supply. Complete Joke.

These guys have the amazing ability to offer a working part for almost any air Conditioning or heater repair. The team is friendly courteous and efficient. I have always had good experiences solving problems for my customers with the help of the team at this location. They deliver with a friendly sense of urgency and deserve a "thank you" for helping Mr. Cool Heating & Air Conditioning keep San Diego's Heaters and Air conditioners running.

Longtime customer of this business and because the extremely rude salesperson could not find our existing account, and refused to start a new one, he literally asked us to leave. Wow. I suspect this business will not last.
