Going in the store proved to be the wrong thing for my day. The cashier was horribly rude and next to impossible to find someone to unlock items. Michael's can be bad service but such a bigger selection. I tried to call and complain and no one answered after many tries. I bet they r out of business soon. Sad. I used to.love that store. Been going for years. I won't be back.

Terrible customer service. Went to pick up a curbside order after receiving confirmation that ir was ready for pick up. Emloyee said it was mot ready to leave and comeback in a couple of hours.Didn't even bother to look for my order showing them the ready for pick up confirmation.Btw they NEVER answer the phones.

My pick up order was never ready before I left town. I called and they said if I didn’t pick it up in 3 days it would be automatically cancelled. Well today I got an email thanking me for picking upMy order. Who picked it up!? Who in San Diego has my same name (because photo id is required) and had a pick up at Joann’s? I’ve tried calling 5 times now and no one answers the phone. I would like a refund and would like to file a complaint against them. Follow your own established policies, return my money. Thanks

The old lady at the cashier is extremely rude. I tried explain the issue with my pick up order because they only gave me half of my order. She was not listening and just said I don’t know anything you said. Also tried calling the store before, never pick up the phone. Worst customer service.

I can't think of anywhere else to get fabric in San Diego besides JOANN. My rabbit requires fleece for his house, so I love searching through the options to get him silly prints. The selection can be hit or miss. The first time I went, there were tons of options, but this last time, the shelves were pretty bare. It almost looked like they were liquidating. The energy in this store feels a little sad and low, but I've always been able to get in and out very quickly.

This store used to be good but now SUCKS!!! I have been going to this store for years but it has gone downhill big time the last couple of years, but especially the last few months. The selection is mediocre at best and super expensive, the coupons aren't as plentiful as they used to be, all the good experienced employees have left for greener pastures and all the employees now are totally green. They're very nice but they have no clue what they're doing and it's very frustrating when they can't answer any questions and have to call their manager, who's also new and happens to be a total b*tch. I was there last night and a friend of mine who's been going there since she moved to San Diego in 2005 was trying to do an exchange and when the clerk couldn't understand what she was asking, a manager was called and OMG, it was like the manager from hell arrived. She was mad at the clerk for having summoned her to the register and when my friend was explaining what she wanted to exchange, the manager looked at her with disgust in her eyes and said it couldn't be done. My friend asked about coupons and the broad said they didn't offer coupons anymore, which is a total lie. My friend was very frustrated with the piss poor customer service and grabbed her stuff in a hurry and something fell and the manager accused my friend of "throwing things around" and tried to throw her out of the store! It was ridiculous! There was only one other customer in the entire store besides us and that manager is threatening to throw out a paying customer? WTF? The clerk was totally embarrassed and it was a total sh*t show. I don't sew much as much as I used to but I'll order from ebay or Amazon rather than shop at that POS chain store if that c*nt of a manager is still working there. Avoid it at all costs if you can!

This place is OK. I live nearby and I am really into crafts and holiday decorations. Though I do not sew, I come across projects and costumes periodically that I need fabric for. This store has sections for sewing, holiday decorations, jewelry making, candy making, and floral design. There is probably a lot more, but that is all that I have really gone there for. Some of the positives things, are the fact that they are open in the evening, so it is easy to go after work, there is ample parking, it is never crowded, they have most of the basics, and sometimes there have some really cute holiday decorations. The negative parts are that it is generally understaffed. The few times I have asked staff for help, they were not very knowledgable about crafting. The staff runs the gamut from polite and kind to short and slightly irritable. They don't have a huge selection of anything, and prices are generally high in my opinion. However, I do hear if you use their app (I have little patience most of the time) you can get discounts. They also do have some great clearance sales from time to time. In general, however, I am glad to have a craft and fabric store that is easily accessible for all of my projects.

First time at a Joann's and it was a pleasant experience! Fabric was 50%off which made my day! The lady who worked in the fabric dept was pleasant to work with as well!

The employees are most politeIt could be the holiday burn out but the new manager was quite brisk. I'll give her the benefit of the doubt and check back after the 1st

Not sure what is going on - my last two experiences have been horrible. The cut table, Naomi was excellent. However the two at the front were horrible. One was the manager

I wanted to give a 3/5, because the cashiers are always incredibly kind and trustworthy. My experiences here haven't been great. I'm not sure how I catch them on off days every time I go in, but I wouldn't blame the manager and employees not wanting to work here. Its difficult to be a customer for them, too.I like this Joann's location for being close to my workplace, and the Harbor Freight nearby, but otherwise a couple of cut counter employees are rude and short with you when you interrupt their conversations to ask them anything. So much that I've been tempted to leave and come back when I see certain employees there.Cleanliness is good.

Regular selection. The store isn’t unkept very well & it’s small. Staff were nice though.

Great store with lots of stuff and good sales, but watch the dates. Things may still be marked down on shelf but the date is past.

I used to like this store but customer service is awful. People wonder why brick and mortar stores are going out of business...this is the reason. No one there to help. Even though on the website it says there is a bunch of stock but when you get there, nothing!!! Then you order online and they cancel your order? I am a small business owner and if I did this, I would be closed by now! I prefer to buy in store, but Amazon is looking a lot better at this point! Wouldn't be surprised if another brick and mortar store shuts down because of bad management!!!
