Fun eating in a cafeteria like setting. I like the price and the pick as you go thru the line concept. Would do it again!

Shoutout to David! He was so helpful and so kind he helped me load up everything and even had awesome ideas on how to Tetris everything to fit. He's such a blessing! He truly is a remarkable example of what it is to just be an honest and kind person always ready to lend a hand! And shoutout to Elsa! She always has a smile on her face and is so kind whenever I come in. She never forgets me and always goes the extra mile to make sure I get everything I need safely and swiftly. David and Elsa are truly two people who make this IKEA amazing by simply being themselves.

This review is for the half off Friday menu at the restaurant. Food is solid, reliable, filling, and tasty. Swedish meatballs, plant balls, cod. I love lingonberry sauce. All this for half off is a steal. But OMG THE CAKE. The restaurant's chocolate cake is something I have always gotten and it's a solid, classic chocolate cake. Cannot go wrong! Seriously so simple and so delicious. During my last visit I tried their almond chocolate butterscotch cake and I still think about it. It was quite literally the best cake I've had in a while. Not too sweet, delightfully crunchy with hints of caramel-chocolate. I can't wait to eat it again. I want this cake for my birthday.

I've only eaten in the cafe a few times and usually get the Swedish meatballs. They are always so good with mashed potatoes and peas. I noticed they had a $3 deal for the plant balls (pea protein) and veggie balls. I ordered them with the veggie medallions, gravy and lingonberry. I had no idea they would taste so good. The friendly cashier mentioned some breakfast deals too and free coffee if you sign up for IKEA Family card. Now that I know about all these great cafe deals through August I'll be back try some new things. Of course, I was one of the last to get this memo because the cafe was pretty packed for a Tuesday lunch crowd.

my review is strictly on the cafeteria haha location: in the same plaza as Costco, Lowe's & Mission Valley Library parking: free but can be chaotic getting in and out of the plaza service: I've been to IKEA a handful of times this year, and the employees are always friendly and nice tip: visit the IKEA cafeteria on Fridays! it's 50% off hot entrees. you can get a plate of Swedish meatballs (comes with two sides) for $5 on Friday nights. what we ordered: * Swedish meatballs: their meatballs are such a nostalgic meal for me. you can even swap one of the sides for French fries for no additional cost. don't sleep on their honey mustard * chocolate cake: it's good! not too sweet and the chocolate flavor is prominent.

I've been shopping at IKEA my entire life and I honestly don't know why, their furniture is overpriced, flimsy, and frustrating. I purchased a bed frame (brimnes) and nowhere on the box or in the instructions did it state that it didn't include the central support beam, a KEY PART that the bed frame CANNOT FUNCTION without. I had to make 3 SEPARATE TRIPS to and from IKEA (over an hour there and back) just to get parts for this bedframe which already cost $350. IKEA is cheap Swedish sh**. Not worth the time money or frustration.

I love IKEA it has cute furniture and has good food @ the restaurant. But lately I have noticed that the quality of furniture has gone down. I purchased 4 different drawers and a bed frame and the quality is not the same as years ago. For some reasons the drawers sometimes hit with the top when closing and other days they close smoothly not sure if the wood swells or what but my first IKEA drawer never had that problem. Also you can see the wood over the white paint and is not completely white it chips easily and is fragile. I been told that you get what you pay for. So I guess one has to spend more than $400 dollars to get a good quality drawer nowadays.

ZERO STARS. I received a $10 off coupon for my birthday and used it to buy two large IKEA 365+ glass food containers online, to be shipped to my house. When I received them, both glass containers where shattered -- they were poorly packaged. I went to my nearby IKEA store today to exchange the containers but was told I could only get a refund. That was not acceptable to me because I would then lose my $10 birthday coupon. I was told that was the only option and I should buy two more and talk with the cashier about it. OK -- fine. I talked to the cashier about my $10 coupon and he said I needed the original coupon, which I did not have. So, I ended up paying $10 more than I should have for these items. VERY bad customer service and a waste of my time. ADDENDUM: I did the IKEA online chat to see if I could get resolution--I asked that the $10 gift coupon be reissued since IKEA took it away from me. That was a no-go: "I am so sorry to inform you that but I a not authorised, so that is why I would suggest you to please visit to the store." Again: ZERO STARS for customer service and for the poor packaging job that led to this whole mess.

DO NOT purchased Kitchen Countertops through IKEA. IKEA requires payment in full for a countertop passthrough to a sub-contractor. They provide NO support or reconciliation for countertop disputes if there is a problem. And since payment was made in full up front, you have no recourse to have the problem fixed. What a terrible arrangement. And what a terrible way to treat your Customers.

Haven't shopped here in a long minute. What I found a bit inefficient was certain items (cabinets) were not available in store. You would have to come in, get a barcode scanned, pay, and then drive three miles down the road to an IKEA warehouse to pick it up. One would think you could purchase the said item online but they were not accepting online payments at the time and noted they were pushing their payments to a third party provider. The cabinet itself is fine; however, why have it stored at a separate facility? My understanding also is this IKEA is small compared to other IKEA stores across the nation. Perhaps that is why they store certain items separately in another warehouse?
