Horrible customer service. I came in for a 30min consultation for $50. The consultant who was helping me not only did not know the answer to my question but was rude and tried to cut my time short after only 5min and said she had another client waiting. Overall had a terrible experience but the front desk person was nice though.

I don't even know where to begin. I did my taxes on TurboTax, and found that they did not have an advance on the refund option anymore. My husband and I were both out of work at the time so it was important that we get an advance on the tax refund. I have done my taxes every year on my own for 20 years so I know what I'm doing. I found that H&R Block still offered a refund advance so I decided to do it again through them. One thing led to another and ends up going to it and advisor. I guess they're called, in a local office not local to me though I found out later. Guy calls me and asked for some information that I had already provided. I told him that it was important that I get the refund advance that day, this was at 1pm in the afternoon. Hours later I message him and say how's it going cause it's getting closer to closer to 5 PM. He says he still needs some paper which turned out he didn't need. Then he says to me that I will owe $35. Ummm excuse me? No. We were supposed to get a $7000 refund! So I told him if they were supposed to get that refund then all of a sudden he hast to ask somebody that's a more senior advisor for help mind you this is the most common and simplest tax situation ever. We had two W-2s and that's it so this lady ends up finishing them correctly and then at 6 o'clock. I have to drive up north 20 minutes in traffic so that I can sign it And they were both nice enough in person and of course you don't know ahead of time how much the refund advance they're going to give you it can be apparently anywhere from 250 to 3500 being that we were going to get $7000 back it's the smart thing to assume that it would be for 3500. But you have to agree and sign and then they'll tell you how much you're going to get. So after I sign and everything I get the text saying how much my refund advance is $500. Are you serious? I know that they had nothing to do with it but I was in tears this is a family of five with no income at that time and you were going to front me $500 out of $7000? What really upset me was that it cost almost $500 for them to do my taxes, incorrectly mind you at first I have never felt so taken advantage of I'm not a customer I'm a victim $500 because we had child tax credit doesn't that say to you that we are low income? That maybe you shouldn't be gouging people that can't afford it? I answered their survey later, saying the same things and I got a call the next day from Sue the manager I was in tears telling her this she tells me she's going to try to get me a refund on the money that I spent. This made me feel better a week later. Still no word back from Sue, so I call she doesn't remember me, she didn't get me an answer she didn't get me a refund. She tells me again that she'll call me back in a couple days here. It is now at least a month and a half since we did taxes nobody's helped me they were so concerned right? Yeah, right! I am beyond upset and disgusted. Obviously I would never use them again and I will tell everybody that I know not to use them not just that specific office, but them as a company in general are horrible, I tried calling one last time today to talk to Sue again but amazing nobody could come to the phone and it went to a voicemail so that's why I'm now leaving my yelp review because somebody needs to hear me because they don't care so unless you like supporting people that victimize poor people I wouldn't recommend going to any H&R Block, but especially the Penasquitos one that will drag you along not know how to do your taxes then drag you along. Please excuse any errors as this was done via talk to text bc I don't have time to be dealing with this BS with 3 kids.
