“They are good until you get into an accident. I got uninsured motorist coverage. I make a left turn from a driveway onto the street, crossing the center lane. Other party came into the center lane at area with double solid yellow line and immediately hit me. All capture on video. Double solid yellow lines equate to a wall. Wawanesa claimed I am at 50% fault because it is still considered an hazard that I was not able to avoid. Really, pay attention to someone coming through a wall instead of paying attention to incoming traffic?? I will get legal if Wawanesa doesn't settle properly. Ridiculous to deny their customers payment and then raise premium.
Update, it could be one of those cases where it depends on the appraiser/personnel that was assisting you with the case. An agent called and she understands that certain driving laws are subject to interpretation. After reviewing the video I provided, her manager changed the 50/50 fault to 100% the other party's fault.”
