I have no words for how disappointed I am in my best friend's experience here. I felt like we were treated like that scene in the movie Selena when the sales lady thought she couldn't afford anything there.

Almost said yes to the dress here. So thankful for all the negative reviews that prevented me from following through with the purchase. I really liked 2 dresses at the store, but all the associates kept pushing me towards 1 dress. I came alone because I can be persuaded by others, and it felt like they were persuading me to get 1 specific dress. Red flag #1. At the end of the appointment, they gave me the price and told me that I needed to buy it today or put down a deposit to honor that price. Red flag #2. I walked away due to all the pressure, searched the dress on a wedding resale site to discover that HCTB was selling the exact same dress online (I was also buying the sample dress) for $270 lower than what they quoted me. They were not selling the other dress I was interested in online, hence why I presume they kept pushing me towards the 1 dress. Red flags #3 and #4. A lot of the existing negative reviews are about their alteration process, but trust me when I say the shopping experience is equally as bad.

As a bride, working with this place was an absolute nightmare. My wedding was November 5th and my dress was not ready to be picked up until November 1st. This was after they rescheduled my fitting 3 times, stating that my dress was still "at the cleaners". When I finally had my fitting, the buttons were popping off as she was trying to button them. She told me that she would have the person doing the alterations fix this issue before I picked the dress up. Upon picking the dress up, I discovered the alterations person had done nothing to secure the buttons. Instead, they literally gave me a bottle of super glue in case the buttons came off on my wedding day so I could glue them back on. In addition, on the day I picked my dress up, there was another woman there waiting and we ended up talking as we waited for someone to come help us. It turned out that she had the same experience where they continuously postponed her fitting and on that day when she was supposed to pick her dress up, they told her in front of me that it still was not there. It sounds to me like this is this places MO. If you want a ton of added stress before your wedding day, come here. Otherwise, run!

This review is long overdue. My consultant was Alma and she was phenomenal!!! I originally came in with only 7 months before my big day. Alma assured me she would be able to get me a dress with plenty of time for me to do my alterations and walk down the aisle. I waited 5 months before I called to see when my dress was coming in, they said no news is good news and it was expected to come in one more month which put me a little under a month before my wedding. The month went by and I received an email with the exciting news that my dress arrived. I called and they scheduled me to come the following week. I met with Bertha who was so great in fitting me and adjusting the dress to me. I came in 2 more times after my initial fitting and my dress was perfect. They pressed it and hung it on the hanger beautifully. I was able to pick up my gown the week of the wedding without any issues. Thank you Here Comes the Bride for making our day so special. I will send photos as promised as soon as we get them back from the photographer. They have great prices too!

My daughter Kathryn tried on no less than 30 bridal gowns in AZ and CA before she found her perfect one at Here Comes the Bride in San Diego. From Angela her consultant, to Bertha her alterations specialist, to Rebecca her manager, and finally Shelley who checked us out … we found everyone to be extremely professional, helpful, accommodating, and expert In their respective fields. Bertha was absolutely magnificent in her ability to alter the gown to fit Kathryn perfectly. She was so amenable to feedback and went above and beyond to make sure the gown was a perfect fit overall. We could not have been happier with the outcome! Thank you Here Comes the Bride for your outstanding support and ability to deliver the perfect gown for Kathryn…

Take a look at the 1-star reviews - the fact that there are brides here who have had worst experiences than me is shocking - honestly not sure how this business isn't ashamed with the way they operate. TLDR: the money you may save on the dress here is NOT worth the stress Initial Experience: The good: - My friend had a good experience here - she said there was a good selection in a wide price range - that's why I went - My dress was somehow $500 less than the other shop I had originally fallen in love with the dress - they also offered a 20% discount for purchasing at my first appointment, bringing my dress and veil to be still $500 than if I purchased the dress at the original boutique. The bad: - First off, they have 2 cats in the boutique just walking around - it's fine I guess? just kind of uncomfortable for my mom who is allergic - When it came to sizing, I didn't love that they don't err on the side of caution. I'm always in between sizes but I know that sizing can differ from designer to designer and also from street to bridal so I really depended on her to tell me what she recommended - she told me to go with the smaller. Luckily the dress fit at the end of the day but when I took the dress off, I had a cut and bruising where it was tight. Leaving the salon, we felt like we had gotten an amazing deal and couldn't believe our luck! Once you pay for the dress, all timelines go out the window. I live in OC and my wedding was out of state - so timing needed to work just right for me. The dress "arrived" on time and was communicated to me. I wanted to set up an appt quickly because I heard some alteration nightmare stories and wanted to be safer than sorry. When calling to make an appt, the receptionist said they prefer to wait until the month before the wedding since so many brides lose weight...that is not me! It takes a lot of hard work for me to lose weight - I stay relatively the same. I compromised with her and tried to set up 2 months ahead of my wedding. Timeline: Appt set for 3/31 - text at 6:22PM on 3/30 saying that they had to move all appts to another date the following week (I live 1.5 hr away and work full time so this is very inconvenient - the seamstresses weren't available on the weekends at the time I was making these appts) Appt set for 4/7 - text at 5:55PM on 4/6 saying one of the owners had unfortunately passed away and they would have to move the date again due to my dress also still being in LA - at this point, i'm getting anxious for alterations as I was leaving for my wedding 5/14 and don't live in SD. I was actually going to be in LA that Sat and asked if I could stop by and pick up my dress and they said that was not possible. At some point, Rebecca gave me direct contact which was nice and offered options to help amend the situation - rush/same day alterations or a free gown preservation. I was worried about same day alterations because I didn't want someone altering the dress quickly - that's how mistakes happen and I just wanted the dress in my hands at that point. My friend who lives locally was able to pick up my dress on 4/14 and bring it to me that weekend (I ended up getting it altered locally). Of course my friend shares that my veil wasn't here...she mentioned that the girl at the front desk said that veil would be mailed directly to me and I should have received an email which I hadn't. Then there was back and forth on that - the veil didn't arrive until the week of 4/27. That's the end of that stress of getting the dress. Had my wedding and knew I had this gown preservation to take care of - I asked questions about the process, where they send it to, etc. They send it to another place for preservation. On their site, they have a serial number you can plug in to see the status - I asked Rebecca if she could provide that once it's sent and she said she would. Dropped off the dress on 6/11... Texted 7/17, 8/9, 8/25 - finally get a response that she's OOO and will call when and send th

DO NOT SHOP HERE- BUYERS BEWAREI'll save the you all the horrible details of my experience here, but please take time to read and believe the bad reviews. They take no responsibility for anything and in the end I never saw a dress (which was ordered a year in advance and fully paid for) or my money back from them. We had to file fraud charges through the bank in order to get our money. They should be ashamed of this business and what they put me through. ABSOLUTE WORST EXPERIENCE and lots of tears shed weeks before my wedding.

This is your fair warning to NOT shop here for your wedding dress! The amount of stress I went through 4 weeks up until my wedding day is not worth it. Not to mention the entire staff here lies about every, single, thing. My experience when shopping for a gown at Here Comes the Bride was great except there were a few things I did not appreciate. After a quick conversation with the consultant, we both picked some dresses and we started trying on. The process the entire time felt rushed and the consultant was eager for me to make a decision. Needless to say, I did find my dream dress and purchased that day. I made the team aware that my wedding was 6 months away and they reassured me several times (including Rebecca) that we had plenty of time and the dress would arrive in August for my September wedding. Months pass and not a word from HCTB. 3 months in, nothing. 2 months in (August), nothing. Finally I made the executive decision to get an update on the status of my dress and I was told that the consultants don't reach out for updates on dresses and that isn't typical, even though they told me August. (OK, so customer service isn't typical here? This is one of the biggest days of my life and I'd expect nothing less than a phone call with an update). I was assured that everything was ordered and should be coming within the next week and HCTB booked my first fitting! I was super excited. Next week came, and I received a TEXT that the dress was not here and we'd have to reschedule my fitting. I was told NOT to worry, there was just a shipping delay. We are now in September, one month from the wedding with no dress. This means that I can't shop for shoes or accessories but again not to worry it'll be here next week. LIES - next week comes and I receive yet another text that the dress wasn't ready so we'd have to push the appointment back. At this point I'm becoming very concerned that my wedding is 3 weeks away and I do not have a dress. I went into the store to understand what was going on because at this point I was being ignored and not being told the truth. Shipping delays are real however, the excuse was getting old. Rebecca acted as if I was being crazy for the concern, she was gaslighting me. She told me that this was completely normal and she was waiting on the designer where she bought my dress for an update. She gave excuse after excuse and blamed it on the designer and their headquarters. I was begging her to call the designer for an update and to send me the order so I could track my dress she wouldn't. She just kept talking in circles, acting like I was crazy and that everything was fine. It was a Saturday morning and she looked at me and said "your dress will be here on Wednesday, so let's schedule a fitting." I told her that she wasn't to be trusted and she said "WHY WOULDN'T IT BE HERE?" (uhhhh maybe because you've been sketchy throughout this entire process and have delayed me over 3x). Wednesday came, and YEP, YOU GUESSED IT!!! NO DRESS. I received another text and decided I needed to take matters into my own hands because this was unacceptable and I knew something shady was being conducted at this store. I called the headquarters of the designer where my dress was made and while they did let me know they couldn't give out any specific information they mentioned that my dress had been sitting at their headquarters for months ready to be shipped. ARE YOU KIDDING ME? RED FLAGS ALL AROUND FOR THIS ESTABLISHMENT. I stormed into that store so quickly and Rebecca did not want to come out to speak with me because her lies were quickly shut down and she had no idea what to say. She sent out this bozo male who was completely disrespectful and was more stupid than she was. They were completely shocked that I called the designer and had an update! I let them know we were not stupid and we knew what was going on and since I had paid for my dress in full, if they didn't call to pay the designer I would be taking lega

Shelley was INCREDIBLE! I kept calling her my wedding fairy godmother. She listened and pulled exactly what I dreamed of, AND in my budget! she was kind and really made me feel comfortable. It was only my second shop I'd been to, not expecting to purchase (in full transparency) but, I said YES! Tons of options, and I'm so so happy! Thank you, Shelley!

Special shoutout to Shelly (bridal consultant) and Karla (seamstress) for making me feel beautiful on one of the most important days of my life! Shelly my bridal consultant was amazing. I loved her energy and confidence in knowing what dress fits well with the bride. Initially when she held my potential dress up I didn't think it was for me. At first I kindly declined but she insisted it wouldn't hurt to try. So glad I listened to her expertise! This dress ended up being the bridal dress of my dreams. Once I tried it I felt Soo beautiful! I felt the dress really was made for me! Karla, thank you for your patience with my mom and I :) I have always trusted your creativity with my dress. You are sooo amazing at what you do it only takes seconds to figure out how to work with my ideas and what I wanted and it all came out perfectly. You too made me feel so comfortable and beautiful in my own skin and that was always your goal. You wanted me to feel comfortable! You made every alteration appointment stress free and fun. It was something I always looked forward to. It was nice to see it all come together in the end :) literally everyone complimented on how this has been the most beautiful dress they have ever seen and the quality and craftsmanship put into it! Thank you to everyone at Here Comes The Bride! Every bride needs to come here... they will take great care of you!
