Did a decent job. Could have been nicer considering the price that was charged, and that I paid in full up front. Also, parking is not the most convenient in this area.Would I go back? …. I’d look elsewhere first. It’s much easier to make the decision to go back when you are treated well. Attitude and kindness go a long way!!

Gilbert has actual knowledge and expertise, things you won’t be able to find at a chain store. He also carries different colors of shoe, polish, and things like that. Highly recommend.

Finally a Cobbler.Overseas it’s easy to find one but more and more it’s getting harder to find in the country that’s worried about plastic straws and not their cheap shoes also made of plastic.Look I’m vegan but I’m also not delusional regarding shoes. I have a pair of leather boots I bought 5 years ago that I’ve been maintaining since then, that needed TLC today. Gilbert cleaned them up and gave them some protection. They should last another year or so before becoming working boots, which means they will probably last a decade. In that entire time most people are gonna go through 20 pairs of plastic shoes.Highly recommend.I read some comments about people getting glue for their soles and it not going well, if they took the time to see how shoes are made, they’d know repairing modern shoes is almost impossible, they are only held together with glue and when they come apart they don’t go back together.700 dollar ACNE studios shoes are not going to last longer than a year.Get better shoes so they can be repaired.

Gilbert cleaned my Chanel tennis shoes just in time for my trip to Japan this week and I am very pleased with the service! My white tennis shoes were filthy and I didn’t think the laces could recover. They look brand new. I trust him with my future designer items.

I have a puppy and Gilbert was able to mend every pair of shoes my lil shoe monster got a hold of. They all look as good as new. Highly recommend!

ZERO STARS! Big time rip off! Don’t go here! I paid over twice the amount of other shoe repair shops. It all happened real fast. I had to leave a large deposit by credit card. When I returned I had to pay half the original deposit... he asked for cash for that payment. Why? After I left, I realized he didn’t give me a receipt! On top of it the repair was tacky with yellow glue showing. Don’t go here even if you have to drive far to go somewhere else!

I visited with request for advice on some items needing repair. Expensive, but and extensive repair request that I am certain would be well done. I saw the work produce of other repair jobs, have shopped around shoe repair a bit more than average, and found Gilbert's as excellent as the shoemaker repair of yesteryear.

Shoddy work. I expected much more attention to detail when working with leather. Cut was not straight. The stitching was not straight. Very poor finish work on other items too. Incredibly expensive for what you get. Very poor customer relations.

Very expensive. Paid $55 to shine 3 pairs of shoes and replace shoe laces. Was made to prepay and got home and the shoelaces had not been replaced. Rip off!!
