Most unprofessional medical group I have ever been with. I first joined the group ignoring the reviews and was assigned to Dr Rawi. I’ve set up a in person check up so I can discuss some issues I’ve been facing. I show up to my appointment 10 mins early and I was asked to sign in and have a seat. 2 hours go by and I still haven’t been called. I asked the desk clerk what was going on and she said she’s sorry but they don’t have me on their calendar. She said I would have to call the number and book an appointment. So I stood in front of her and called and then she picked up and looked at me and said I would have to call another day that his schedule filled. I’ve booked 3 other appointments and Dr Rawi never showed up. I got either a head nurses or someone else. All excuses were that Dr Rawi was on vacation. This dude takes more vacations in a year than 10 people have in a 3 year work span. So I complained to medi-cal and they worked on getting me a new doctor. I got doctor Baige and he was cool for a bit. I liked him because he’s straight up. As of right now it’s not him that I have a problem with, it’s the staff of this company. The staff are so unprofessional. Today I called the East Lake location and I was put on hold at 1:30pm; 30 mins after their lunch time. Then I decided to hang up and keep calling back till they answered. I had ran out of my diabetic medication and inhalers so it was very important to get those filled. Every time I called they would put me on hold. Not even a “thank you for calling can i put you on hold “. Just put me on hold. So I had to call the downtown location to find out what’s going and see if I could get my prescriptions filled there. They kept saying “sure we can do that” and continued to put me on hold until 3 other nurses picked up and asked me what I wanted. Mind you, I’m struggling to breathe right now and I’m sure they can obviously hear it when I talk and they keep playing phone tag and making me repeat myself. Trust me, get a job with Kaiser and give up medi-cal and this office. This company should be shut down for malpractice and unprofessionalism conduct with patients.

I have been dealing with them for my dad’s care and let me say please avoid this place at all costs. Staff is rude and clueless about everything. They don’t help and you are lucky if they pick up the phone and don’t be surprised if when you finally talk to someone the call gets “disconnected”. The medical equipment does not work and you need to explain things to them many times because apparently there aren’t any notes on their system. It’s a total nightmare. Patients deserve much better than this. Definitely makes me appreciate my doctors.

This medical company as a whole is very inconsiderate of their patients. Add it to the list of unhelpful medical care. I’ve had a number of frustrating experiences with them and I’ve always left feeling very uncared for and like I’m just a number.

a very bad experience, the dr was not professional at all, they are not pediatrics but somehow they accept to see kids, and when it comes to referring to a specialist they are not capable to do it, also they refuse to do my sons physical because he's autistic, I felt discriminated and neglected.

I’ve never had to deal with a team that doesn’t know how to submit referral documentation. Apparently, Stephanie is the only person that can submit and request the proper documentation and yet she is not able to get assigned instructions for proper documentation to be submitted correctly. My insurance has approved the authorization but I can’t make an appointment for my treatment because the office doesn’t understand the necessary instructions to submit the documentation. It’s been a week that I’ve been dealing with the back and forth between Stephanie and the appointment setter. It’s been absolutely ridiculous!

Truly no idea how to get in contact with this medical group so I’m leaving this review temporarily until I review a call back! I’ve tried calling everyday for the last 5 days and left a message but the mailbox has been full after the initial message. I need assistance and would appreciate a call back ASAP! L

Quick Summary:Do not go here. Gateway incorrectly unbundled my lab testing to bill for every single lab test rather than correctly use one code for an annual checkup. This resulted in a large bill to me that I am still disputing. Despite calling and following up in person over 10 times since September, Gateway still refuses to either resolve it or get the appropriate people involved to assist.Long Story:I called at the end of July to discuss the possibility of getting lab tests. I told the receptionist I was only willing to do the exam if it wasn’t going to be a lot of money. She confirmed that with my insurance I was able to get a free annual exam. After confirming again over the phone, I was told that my insurance completely covered it. I end up getting the lab results and had a Gateway doctor call me to discuss the results. I figured that would at least be a copay. I received a call from the receptionist at Gateway shortly after and asked if I needed to pay anything. She confirmed via the phone call that my insurance covered it and I was not responsible for any copays or additional bills since the “doctor’s visit” was over the phone. A month later, I received a large bill from Quest Diagnostics, where Gateway sends you for lab testing. Gateway incorrectly used separate codes for every single lab test instead of using an annual checkup code, which they confirmed with me over the phone. Not only is “unbundling” of services not allowed, it is illegal. I have been following up with Gateway since September and each time they have told me someone is taking care of it. I haven’t been receiving responses. I have also emailed their accounting person, but have not heard anything from him. In speaking with Quest about my large bill, they have stated that all I need is for Gateway to send them updated codes. I have emailed Gateway the fax number and phone number for Quest. I have told them exactly what I need from them. However, they keep referring me to an accounting department who has been completely unresponsive. Do not waste your time here. They are not attentive to your needs and are very difficult to get ahold of.

I loved coming to this clinic (as soon as you walk in, you turn to the right, that is the door for it) Only two doctors though, one male and one female (go with the female, she seems to care more about her patients >> ) the wait can be quite a long while though but the employees are fantastic!
