I have been with both Fidelity and Vanguard for over 25 years. I find Fidelity way better for service, expertise, and lack of mistakes. I have had 4 reps at this office over 25 years. Mostly very good. Current rep (Michael Green) outstanding. Super helpful and not chasing commissions. One of the 3 previous reps was a big shot frequently offering me high commission products I didn’t need.
The people at the counter have been pleasant and 100% professional the dozen+ times I have needed service.

Worse services ever. They liquidated my security at a loss without notifying me. Then they claim that I overspent my money on a security order. I was like I didn't ask for an overdraft so if I am overspending money, it should just simply be stopped at the point of purchase. When talking to the customer, or my god, the supervisor name Laurey was so condescending it was ridiculous. Otherthan keep stating that they are doing everything legal and it is all the customers fault. They show no remorse of causing me money losses.

The sales rep Matt couldn't get my phone number right, couldn't get the documents he was trying to peddle right, knew nothing about the restrictions on using IRA money to fund an annuity, very reluctantly gave me the transaction details prior to trying to get me to sign them which stated that he/Fidelity are not allowed to give me all the tax advice he had given me to sell the product and so far has not removed his photo and name from my on line account as requested.

I had a 60 minute meeting scheduled with a financial consultant who called me and went straight to my voicemail. I called them back right away and tried them a number of times during our scheduled meeting time but they wouldn’t take my call. I also sent an email and never received a follow up. Why schedule a 60 minute meeting if you have no intention of keeping the time open for a customer? I’ll transfer my funds away from this brokerage.

ARON C. has no knowledge and did not answered the questions I asked. You need better people.

Wife filled out all requested paperwork for a trust in the RB office. They said ok she gave them a check for 500K. Then they cried for more paperwork...we want our money back. Now they give us BS. Is it time to call the cops on these guys?

I asked them to guarantee a signature so I could open an account with the Fed and buy Ibonds, which can't be done through a broker like Fidelity. Signature guarantees are a service they provide, but despite the fact that I've been a Fidelity client for over thirty years and have over a million dollars with them, they wouldn't do it because there's no "benefit to them" and "way too much liability" to just trust that my ID would be accurate. Seriously? Keeping a 30+ year client happy...or in my case keeping a 30+ year client at all since I'm stubborn enough to leave them entirely over a snub like this isn't enough of a "benefit" to offset this huge risk that comes with trusting my driver's license and/or passport are accurate? Think I'll call Schwab and see if they're afraid of this big liability or not.

Run, don't walk if your 401K is with Fidelity. That means Whole Foods, CVS/Pharmacy, and Beverages & More. Some of these companies used to belong to Vanguard, a company I trust (and with whom I have a lot of money invested and have made a lot of money), and as soon as these corporations move on to Fidelity I know it's for the cost savings which are passed on to employees in terms of higher service fees. Just left Beverages & More and while my 401K was up 15%, their service fees were 15%! My employer contribution didn't cover the taxes they imposed after my settlement, and I'm left $150 behind. I asked my husband and he concurred 15% was just outrageous. But the onus must also be placed on Beverages & More for their simpleton contribution of less than 11%.

Fidelity is the ONLY business in the entire Sam Diego region unavailable for business requiring in person engagement to conduct business. While the bank next door has been open over a year since the 1st San Diego lockdown, Fidelity remains closed with the exception of a Dropbox. Despite an improving COVID tier along with vaccinations, Fidelity exhibits business practices that are now outdated and unnecessary.

Update: I want to give an extra shout-out to Mr. Jerel Custodio at the Del Mar venue for going out of his way to help me and my elderly mother. Because the documents were incorrectly when they returned, Jerel printed a new set and labeled which pages to sign clearly and mailed them back to my mom. I wished we accepted Jerel's assistance the first time around, although Fidelity's customer service tried to do that. Embarrassingly this was our mistake and legal documents can be overwhelming to understand. Jerel saved us time and postage getting the documents re-notarized and scanned into the system - I cannot express enough thanks for his kindness and excellent customer service! We will definitely work with Jerel in the future, and I highly recommend him.

This is the worst Investment Company I have dealt with in over 25 years of investing. People at their branches do not even know how to use their online trading interface. There is an error in their software and they are not even knowledgeable enough to understand something as simple as a Call Spread option. I spoke to the Branch manager and all I can say, is how can someone so incompetent in Customer Service be the manager?!? I have call their technical desk and waited 30 minutes. No answer. Today I had time and I am still on hold for 1 hour and 45 minutes now. This company is ABSURD! It does not care at all about customers. I suggest everyone transfer your money to decent company that cares about their customers and has a modicum of technology for such simple trading requests.

Had to take care of some family money matters after my mom passed away. Fidelity has been managing some of our family funds for years. They have a few offices throughout San Diego which makes it convenient to get things done when you need it. Was in a big rush to teach a class, but also needed to take care of a transaction before the end of the day. Ran in here as it was on the way. Arielle was at the front desk and was able to take care of what I needed in a flash. I'm so grateful to her for being friendly, knowledgeable and quick with what my needs were on my last visit! Keep on Yelp'n!
