Excellent place. Greg and Rosita are amazing, and remember your face and preferences if you come in more than twice. Greg makes an AMAZING Smoke Old Fashioned, and Rosita makes a BOMB Cafecito. All of the staff is great at checking in on your needs, and good at leaving you alone if you want to chill in peace. The humidor, like most in California, has to accommodate the new flavored tobacco ban, and as such have to upcharge a little more to be compliant for the few flavoreds they do have. They have a great selection, at decent "lounge" prices, but don't plan on stocking up here. The drinks and cigars are upcharged, yes. It's a business, and they have to make money. The drinks are priced based on what alcohol gets used: more pricey alcohol, pricier drink. They've got a HUGE stock of different alcohols, primarily whiskey and scotch, but several nice rums and tequilas as well. The ambiance is of a nice vintage lounge, low lights, leather chairs, and exposed brick, but still very welcoming for female smokers, which is missing at a lot of other places. Music is generally pretty low too, so you can actually manage to talk to each other, although it gets lube inside of there's a big game on. Seating is assigned by staff, because it's popular and small, and you may be told to rearrange to accommodate larger parties. It's recommended to call ahead for parties of 4 or more. Not to worry, there's are TVs visible from every seat, and the staff is happy to change the channel for you if you want something specific. Lounge rules say please don't rearrange furniture, the staff is happy to do it for you, and please don't put your cigar wrapper in the ashtray (nobody wants to smell burning plastic). The outdoor patio has suffered a bit during the recent storms, but they're actively working on it. The heaters are back up and running, and so are a few of the TVs, and the chairs are comfy as ever. It's decently sheltered from the wind, and from random looky-loos. The only "downsides" are that there's only 1 bathroom and parking can be a bit packed. Thankfully, you can keep an eye on it from most of the indoor lounge, so you don't have to stand around awkwardly waiting for it. Parking tends to open up after 7pm, but before that you have to compete with nearby restaurants, like most of Clairmont Mesa. Inside the bathroom is some complimentary mouthwash if you'd like to freshen up before you leave. As for the reviews whining about not being served at 11 when they close at 12... well, duh. Everyone who has smoked a cigar knows that it takes an hour or more to do if it's any decent size, and the staff has lives too. Be considerate of them and they will treat you like friends, act entitled and you'll get it right back.

Excalibur cigar lounge was a nightmare. The atmosphere was stale, suffocating, the staff disinterested, and the selection of cigars horrible. To top it off, the old lady with black hair was shockingly rude. Excalibur cigar lounge should seriously reconsider their hiring practices if they want to retain any semblance of customer satisfaction. Avoid this place at all costs.

Been a regular herefor 10 years. Just because fat girl with gapped teeth didn't recognize me she acted like I was stealing. Pretended to be offering friendly customer service when it was obvious she was checking on me. Just because you dont recognize a patron dont assume. Just because I'm not wearing a biker jacket dont discriminate. Dont just welcome her type like cholos. Everyone should be welcome. She tried to make it right and change her story so I can stay but the attitude was already forced. Why does it have to come down to me saying im a veteran?

Humidor and prices seem legit. Everyone seemed chill. I wish I were local, I could see myself being regular here.
