I had an absolutely lovely experience with my hairstylist Jamie. She was so kind and transparent about costs and working with her made me feel comfortable and relaxed—I definitely felt like I was in good hands. Going in I had several layers of dark box dye on my hair as well as random spots of sun bleached hair and I wanted to lift my hair to a warm honey color. Jamie did an absolutely fantastic job. I got even more than what I asked for and she paid such close attention to the details. I’m usually very picky about my hairdressers but Jamie is such a talented hairdresser and I’m so glad I happened to book with her. I HIGHLY HIGHLY HIGHLY recommend booking with her.

I recently relocated to San Diego from Minnesota, where I had the same stylist for 20 years. I have curly hair and was nervous to let someone new cut my hair. Elena did an amazing job! I have found my new stylist! I recommend Elena to anyone with curly hair, she does an amazing job!

REALLY DISSAPOINTED. My wife went and got her haircut there today by Matthew. He butchered her bangs! Like Lloyd Christmas off of D*** and Dumber butchered. Had to have someone else come check the work. She now has to swoop everything to the side for 2-3 months. Rest of the haircut was alright but not really what was asked for. Quoted $230 for a cut and color from the front desk person and paid $280.

Y’all! If you’re thinking about it, just commit and make your appointment. The salon is clean and cute and organized.Ross cut my hair and he CRUSHED IT! I had long hair almost to my waist and I chopped it. Thank God Ross was the one who had availability because he specializes in shorter cuts. He gave me a bob that I am totally in love with. He took his time and made sure it was perfect and let me tell you, probably one of the best experiences I have ever had at any hair salon. Thank you!! By far my favorite cut!

I had a 56$ blow dry, done by someone (can't remember her name) with no expertise. You could tell from the low energy she had in holding the brush. I tried to encourage her to be more forceful but she couldn't. It was a very slow and very ineffective blow dry. After five minutes my hair looked bad, as if no one had blow dry'd them. YOU CANNOT CHARGE $56 plus tip if you can't do the job. It's not right, it's dishonest. If you charge these prices you need to know what you are doing. I do not recommend this place for a blow dry.

I have been going to Escape Salon for several years and have had two great stylists there. One Stylist moved away and recommended her colleague Matthew Burleigh and it’s been hair heaven ever since.Matthew is professional, talented, creative, a problem solver and a lovely human being. He has helped me so much with my hair goals, as a woman of a certain age, we’re always trying to find ways to hide the gray, go gray, etc., and he always find the right way for my hair to look fabulous. His cutting skills are exact and his knowledge of color is on point and amazing. I trust him and always look forward to our time together. Tiffany did an amazing job on my hair! I'm always afraid of getting too much cut off, but Tiffany trimmed the perfect amount and put in beautiful face framing layers. The atmosphere was great, conversation was wonderful, and I couldn't be happier with my cut. 10/10 recommend and I can't wait to go back!

Was Visiting San Diego recently and decided to book a highlighting appointment and roots at this salon. Went solely based on the reviews and crossed my fingers. Booked with Allyson and was not disappointed. She listened to what I wanted, told me what she can do and what to expect and delivered in a timely manner. Very friendly salon. Will definitely book with Allyson here again if I am ever in town.
