I brought my bike in only to have them fail the brake test and when I took it to a Ducati authorize mechanic. He test rode and even said the brake disc were good and he previously change the pads to racing pads and were outstanding. Again only having the tag shop tell me they were bad, both the Ducati shop and I said they felt amazing and stopped on a dime. Is asked if I could get my money back and then said no and to come back, what to fail me again and take more money. No thank you

Scam. Talking to the big Guy working there is like pulling your teeth out. EXTREMELY DISRESPECTFUL. He knows nothing, yet acts like he knows everything. happy to sue for false advertisement as they do nothing their website does. Sick of businesses giving false promises. Thank god for these reviews.
Found a shop that actually treated me with respect and fixed all my issues the fake tag shop refused to.

This is by far the number 1 tag shop in San Diego. Both Patty and Brittany were extremely helpful and patient with my complicated vehicle situation. They worked with me with the best attitudes and eagerness to help me with my situation. They got the job done expedited and worked great as a team to help me out. I have been coming here for a couple of years now, but today Brittany (sorry if I spelled your name wrong) was LITERALLY a life saver! Could not thank you enough for being so wonderful. Even though y'all were busy today, and she was the only person in the front she never rushed me off the phone or forgot to call me back. 10/10 customer service! Brittney was amazing today ! Super friendly and extremely helpful. I've being putting off getting my car registered in California because of the stress of going to the DMV, but she took all my worries away and made everything so easy and simple. Couldn't recommend this place more ! In and out in 30 minutes.

If you're trying to get your tags done in a timely manner have any questions or concerns with the CA.DMV process. tommy and his team are you best point of contact to get this done. I had questions and was confused about how to get my tags after 3 years of having my vehicle sit around. Had gone to the DMV with no real help given to me. Tommy and his team not only helped me with what to do but were able to get my car 100% drivable in less then a day. If you're in the La mesa area and need reliable assistance with the registration process. This is the place. As advertised when others say "no" the Tagshop will.

The Tag Shop at the corner of Rolando is the place to go for many reasons. The shop is hard working, direct to the point and fast, yet they flash you a smile. They do Smog Check right here and gave me solid advice on a simple repair. Love these guys! Leo and Tommy. Haven't said that before. Boom!

A couple of months ago, I received my mom's renewal notice from the DMP for her car registration that is due at the end of November, 2023. I renewed and paid the fees online, however when I received the envelope in the mail from the DMV, I assumed that it was her 2024 tags. I opened the envelope to find that I had failed to read that the car needed a smog test. Long story short, I took the car to The Tag Shop-Smog Stop, where the car was tested and did not pass the smog test. Tommy, the owner, not only told us what was causing the car to not pass the smog, he showed me where the air intake hose was broken and was no longer connected. He told me what was needed and he took the time to search online for the part at a reasonable price to avoid purchasing the part from the dealer, where it would have been so much more expensive. He didn't stop there, he gave me a print out with the part number, price, name and address of store where the part was in stock. He again, took it another step further and without hesitation, he installed the part on the spot for FREE, re-tested, and the car passed. This is why I highly recommend this place and will be referring my friends and family to The Tag Shop-Smog Stop.Thanks Tommy

I bought an out-of-state vehicle and needed to register it in California, which turned out to be a troublesome process in general. I was referred to The Tag Shop from a friend who had a similar circumstance. I do have to give credit to this business for getting the job done. However, unfortunately, it came at a cost of dealing with a male employee that was condescending, rude, and ultimately not worth giving my business to. What was originally described as one or two business days to complete, turned into 11 days after I paid over $2,000 in transactions with them. That wasn't a concern to me. What concerned me was when 11 days later, I called The Tag Shop for a status update, and the male individual asked me why this (driving an unregistered vehicle without plates) was "burning" at me so much, as if this shouldn't have been a concern. I had to resort to calling the California DMV to get information on my registration paperwork, even though the whole point was to use this DMV partner site in lieu of the actual DMV. In fact, I now know they were a worse experience than the DMV and the DMV was more helpful in the long run. Now, almost two weeks later, I have my registration and license plates, and although I appreciate getting to the end result that I paid for, I will not return to The Tag Shop and conduct business with them. The attitude of this male individual is enough to make me want to give anyone else the business except him. I will give credit to Brittany, who was the most helpful through this. However, for anyone needing DMV-related assistance, I would highly suggest shopping around for a more friendly business.
