Empty shelves, the website says in stock but they'd not actually have the item

CVS always has everything you can think of. Like a mini Walmart or target. But they can get a bit pricey.., so be careful

I live rather close to this CVS but rarely shop here so it could be a one off. I only came in for 1 item but I was immediately followed based on how I look. Like I get it, I work in security for a retailer and you have to do you job to stop shrinkage, but at least I'm teaching my team to NOT be biased. There were 2 employees at the registers and all of a sudden 1 of them walked by the aisle I was in and asked "if I needed help", then when he realized I wasn't doing anything he kept walking. I walked right behind him so he would know I wasn't stealing, then he "suddenly stopped" for no reason and had me walk pass him. Like come on my guy, don't stereotype folks, learn from it and grow. Just my 2 cents...

I've been going to this pharmacy for 3 years now and it's been nothing but great costumer service. The pharmacy already knows you for going in so often with welcome "hello". I've never had a problem with them always so understanding nothing but kind people when I go in there! :)

This review is for the pharmacy and not the rest of the store. I've been using this pharmacy for many years, and while I can get most of my prescriptions without too many issues, there is one prescription that is a common drug but that they frequently don't have in stock. They have taken up to 3 weeks after I ran out of the medication to restock it at times when there was not a national shortage of the medication or supply chain issues. That seems very excessive to me. Now I'm past due for another refill and am getting that out of stock message again. When I just called about it, the person who spoke to me was rude and unhelpful. Even though this store is close to me, I think it's best for me to find a more reliable pharmacy.

I can appreciate how challenging it is to be in customer service these days and I think it's important to have patience and treat people with respect. With that said - Samaya (spelling?) who works in the CVS Pharmacy at the Sandrock Serra Mesa location has zero customer service skills. She needs some serious training on how to talk and treat people. My experience with her was so bad that it's looking like I'll be finding a new pharmacy for any future medication I need.

I thought the drive thru pick up line was just that. Not pulling up at 2:30 and still not at the window to pick up a prescription at 3:00. Could not go in because of a sleeping baby. Customer service sucks here. The explanation I received was there was a problem with their insurance and they didn’t want to go in. Unacceptable. This has happened to me and I had to go in. Picking up me prescription took all of 3 minutes which it shy at the drive thru

I love this store! It's well stocked and clean. Kathleen was very helpful and has great customer service! She took time in assisting me with what I need and was very patient. You seldom see this kind of customer service anywhere! Thank you, Kathleen!

Turn down the ridiculously loud, rude, ear-drum damaging volume on self checkout. I still have a headache. We all know about self checkout. We are told at least 3 times a visit. Sometimes with a tone of why are you bothering me. Stop trying to force us and shove us to use problematic equipment. Harassment is not good customer service. You have good cashiers. Listen to what your employees are telling you about customers feedback. Employees should report this to OSHA.

I want to speak about the Pharmacy at CVS # 8833 in Serra Mesa. Dean and Carrie are the best. But Matt who left was their greatest ever person that made the pharmacy work at that store. The day he left, it got terrible, not because of Dean and Carrie, they do their very best for us and we have been customers for 20+ years. But they hired a young girl after Matt left which is terrible. She can't spell, she asks for your birthdate twice and I called there on Feb 3, 2022, and she answered. I asked her to call my primary Dr. to get my insulin for diabetes, she said I will right away, but you should call too. At 4:00 pm I called and The Chinese girl that has been with you for a long time answered and I asked her "did you hear back from my dr. on the insulin? She didn't even put the phone down to check she just said NO. I ask her "how do you know, as my dr. asks in thru voice mail not fax?" She said no again, I was pissed by than so I asked to talk to Dean, Dean came to the phone and said "Nobody called him, I will do it right now. so that new girl didn't do her job. Then an hour later my husband went to pick it up as they said it was ready, he got there and the new young girl said we don't have any insulin left. My husband got mad and said I just called you & you said it was ready"..She looked around as if she didn't know what to do and Dean came walking up and gave the last one to my husband. So that new girl was lying, they did have it and she never called it in. That's not all she gave me the wrong pills once because she didn't look in my chart. and my husband got her in lies as he has shorted some pills one time. They were his pain pills. And the Chinese girl who comes in sometimes is just very rude to me and always has been. Why do you hire people like that? If Dean and Carrie didn't work there we would stop going to CVS. They always helpus. and by the way, my husband got 2 Covid-19 tests there for free as a person can get up to 8 per month free. But he had to go to your 24 hr store on Univerity and they charged hin 23.99 for each kit which was 2 as he had been around someone who came down with covid-19. He told the Lady manager at that store they are supposed to be free. But she charged him 47.98 for the 2 kits. He called medicare and our insurance and they said they would pay for one but CVS has to pay for the other one (to refund the money as we are seniors. She refused a second time. So what are you going to do, the lady manager at the University 24 hr store took the receipt and said she would think about it. Then called her and she said no. Now I have no receipt and I have the newspaper that says after Jan. 15, CVS, Vons Rite Aid, and other stores much refund money for Covid 19 kits. Up to 8 per person per month are free. So you owe us that amount as insurance sent a paper to fill out to get a refund from them for one kit and the store has to refund for another kit. We need our receipt back to mail to our insurance. You guy's lie about everything. All your sales, they are never a sale on reciept. I only give store #8833 1 star and for the 24 hr store I give 1 star. I'm going to post bad feedback everywhere I can on your store unless you make this good. Christopher & Dianna Rottner 3010 admiral ave san diego, Ca. 92123

I don't think this store is ever cleaned or restocked. The store just looked filthy when I walked in. I understand we are in a pandemic & shipments are being delayed but this is a whole other story. the shelves were either empty or just messy with random things scattered or knocked over. I waited a few minutes in the pharmacy line, with 2 cashiers working. At the front of the store I used self checkout & needed staff to check my ID. It took maybe 10 mins for someone to come. It was a female manager. She was some incredibly rude & unprofessional. She was snapping at me as if I am the one who designed the self checkout register.
