I had an amazing experience shopping for the perfect futon for my tiny apartment at Creative Futons. Lesley was extremely friendly and knowledgeable on everything futon related and more. They had it delivered the very next day! I got to pick out the frame, mattress and cover! I highly recommend you checking this place out!

We needed a futon when we moved to San Diego and Leslie went out of her way to get us exactly what we needed quickly. When she found out we were sleeping on an inflatable mattress she made sure our futon was delivered the next day. Super comfortable and well made. If you're looking for a futon or bed for a guest room definitely give Leslie call!

My husband and I recently relocated to San Diego from Hawaii. It may be a couple of months before our stuff arrives so we decided to invest in a futon for our guest room for us to sleep on in the meantime. We made an appointment with Leslee and she walked us through a variety of options, asking questions and making recommendations along the way. She made some great suggestions and we landed on a comfy, high-quality futon that looks great and works for our space. Not only that but Leslee expedited delivery and setup for us since the futon was in stock, meaning we had a great place to slee the next night! She was incredibly sweet and welcomed us to the neighborhood. This felt like real customer service and we are so stoked to have done business with Leslee!

We just moved into the area and needed some furniture. We decided a couple of futons would work well and some online research led us to Creative Futons. Leslee has been working with futons for decades and really knows her stuff! The futons are great, the hardware is well built and attractive, and we found covers that are beautiful.

I just received the delivery of my new futon - "The Brick" - and I already feel like it's a prized posession in my home.Leslee, the owner of the business, was gracious and helpful from the moment I walked into her store. Fortunately, I had a very good idea of what I wanted, and so we were both able to decide that "The Brick" would be the best choice for me.Delivery was quick, easy, and hassle-free. And even better: My old futon was whisked away within a matter of seconds.Thank you, Leslee! I can't wait to sleep tonight.

Just returned to Creative Futon to replace our futon cushion that we bought a decade ago. Futon frame is still in great condition. Wonderful small business with fair prices and an excellent selection.

Why buy local? This place provides a great example - we couldn't be happier with our purchase and experience with Leslee! After listening to what we needed, she presented us with a couple of options that fit our needs at a fair price. Once we made our decision, she arranged for delivery and set-up that same afternoon. Min (?) arrived a couple of hours later, set up our futon and frame - taking all of the cardboard with him on the way out the door less than 30 minutes later.

We bought a futon here 15 years ago for our guest room and it was time for an upgrade; we sprang for a $1900 futon, paid the deposit and gave them a couple of months (which we needed to donate the old one). We did not realize that in order to pay the balance, we couldn't do it over the phone and had to return to the store. OK, we made the second trip for our new futon to pay the balance. The delivery guy (who is GREAT!) was free so we were able to get it delivered and set up that same day. When he was done, we were completely appalled that the futon cover was stained; we called the owner and yet again - a hallmark of her customer service - she proceeded to argue with us. She said it only needed a lint roller - we tried it, the delivery guy tried it, the only alternative was to keep it ($1900 later) or return it for an exchange. She scolded us and said, "I spent two hours steaming that cover" (you know, instead of "I'm sorry") and I was completely astonished. In other words, she knew exactly how it looked and she still sent it out? So... yet again, we headed back to the store. After a wait while she dealt with every other customer there (in our heads we were telling them to run, but of course we said nothing). She said "these marks on your cover are deliberate, they are supposed to mimic suede", to which I said, "then why are there only these marks on spots and not all over it? Some parts of the cover are completely unmarked". While we looked at other covers, she told us not to take them out of the packages (which we would not have) but we did need to unzip them to feel the fabric. We selected one that was $10 cheaper and she would not refund us the $10 (out of $1900); she also told us that no one would come to put it on the new futon mattress, she was not going to send a delivery person out for that. We were frankly so astonished and dismayed by this point we said, "just keep the $10". At this point she must have realized what this looked like and gave us $10 in cash (after making us sign the paperwork). She also didn't want to take it out of the package, but what did she expect, that we would leave without looking at it to make sure this one was unstained??? WOW. I expect this futon to last many years; if it does, we'll never need to go back there. If it doesn't... we'll NEVER go back there. I was reluctant to leave a negative review for an independent business owner. The futon is fine - the customer service was atrocious. I can't remember the last time I dropped so much money and felt so unhappy with the business owner.

If you need a futon you should 100% get one from this store. we needed one for our game room/office and found the best one ever built in my opinion. It is a family-owned and operated place from what I can tell and the entire time I was there I felt like I was with family. she took care of us better than any mainstream brand name store would. you don't feel like a number on a board in this store. plus you can help out a small business owner rather than helping greedy corporate America money. I'm very happy with our purchase of an amazing futon. we bought a clickity-clack (as she called it) one from amazon for 350 dollars that felt like I was sitting on a bench made of brick. we weren't happy so we came into this store and we walked out about 30 mins with a new wooden frame very comfortable memory foam mattress for exactly 800 dollars. she even threw in a free cover and a pad to help the mattress not slide on the frame. great store and even better person. Leslee was amazing and she didn't b******* us at all! thank you so much!!
