I lost my job and missed my rent after six years of living in the community and working for this organization community building. They quickly proceeded to evict me and spent the next ten years suing me for the missed month of rent plus lawyer's fees and interest, to the tune of 5 grand. The last time we went to court for a wage assignment order once again, the judge asked them why they had pursued an obviously poor person for so many years. I have cried many tears and struggled for years wondering the same thing. They weren't good to me and I even worked for them for two years running an after school center for children and adults. Go figure. I'll always remember the experience though. The shameful litigation for years on their part, was very much a struggle to endure. It almost broke me as a person...To the hypocrite below with the CHW shirt on in his profile picture, and the dirty mouth, who can ask strangers for financial help for your lame dog, but you can't understand how things can go sideways for your fellow human. We See you...

I think it’s a great organization. Provides many services for families in need but I was not able to get the support/resources that I needed when my family struggled financially to pay rent on time a year ago (always paid but struggled to pay on time while mentally struggling as well. Maybe it was a misunderstanding? But overall, I’m ok now after all the hardship.. I am thankful overall for all the good years, it was sad to leave the apartment and I specially miss the community center.
