I just attempted to purchase an Omega watch from CJ Charles. They were fairly responsive to start with, but as soon as I asked for any discount, they were dismissive. Then I agreed to pay full retail, but asked that a small accessory be included (probably amounted to a 3%-4% discount. They then told me that I was way too much of a hassle and I should look elsewhere. In fairness, this was only a $6500 watch, so not a lot of money, right? In fact, it would be the least expensive watch in my collection….but not worth their time. So, I guess if you want to pay retail and get marginal service, these are your guys. They came across as very arrogant, but that is just my opinion.

I went to the UTC store and their customer service was Excellent. I will be back. Bought my first Rolex.

I always dreamed of owning the best & most famous watch in the world...the Omega Speedmaster Moonwatch. CJCharles made the realization of that dream a joyous realization come true. First, Jon reached out to me in a non aggressive, information heavy way that established my trust. Then I went to their UTC store to see and learn in person. Danielle greeted me and was an amazing teammate throughout the sale process...adjusting links, adding facts, basically helping in every way she could. Ali, part of the family business, skillfully "closed the deal." He is a watch expert and a good man. On the plane home now totally loving the watch on my wrist. I love this business. John C.

I highly recommend this shop and particularly Danielle. I purchased an IWC Pilot Chronograph from Danielle at CJ Charles in La Jolla. Danielle is very knowledgeable about watches in general and the IWC brand specifically. She took the time to patiently walk me through the process of selecting the watch. She is also quite friendly with an excellent sense of humor.Danielle made the buying experience very pleasant. The shop has a very comfortable ambiance and a very wide selection on in-stock watches. The post-sale support has also been absolutely great. I had an issue with one of the links on the steel watch band. I called Danielle and she resolved it quickly and efficiently.I would definitely shop there again.

What a nice shop. Robust Panerai collection, and one of the larger Omega displays north of Fashion Valley. Friendly and helpful, and connected with their La Jolla CJ Charles stores to bring items in for showing. Thanks Danielle!

I came across a few negative reviews in the section and wanted to share my experience with their team. CJ jewelers have certainly became family over the years since 2016 when I purchased my first IWC Portuguesier, which I took to shauffhausen museum in Switzerland. I have worked with them over the years with mainly wrist watches and is an amazing crew to work with :) Since Giorgio’s departure, I have been working with Amy, an amazing addition to their existing team. She is passionate in horology and have been perfecting her trade through-out the years. She’s practically family at this point, and Carries the charisma, wittiness and professionalism :). All in all, I will continue to working with this in the future since they are the only boutique that Carries alange :) .

Stellar experience all around!!!!I was immediately Greeted by Danielle. Danielle was both wonderfully professional and personal in her service. She was extremely knowledgeable and provided me a friendly education on time pieces. She took time to understand what I wanted and then she had me try on as many watches as I needed. Her service was EXPERT and superior to almost any service I’ve had for any industry/product purchase. I will DEFINITELY return to her for future purchases.

My husband and I went to this store yesterday with the intention of purchasing a Nomos watch. We waited while the salesman and saleswoman helped other customers. The salesman finished first. After he was finished, a new customer (an older gentleman) came in. The salesman ignored us and went to help him instead. It was frustrating, as my husband had spoken with the store and let them know that we could be coming in this weekend. The phone customer service experience (pleasant and helpful) was the opposite of the store experience.Follow-up in response: We purchased at another store instead, where we got excellent customer service. Being busy does not excuse treating a customer different, based on how they look.

My husband and I had the worst experience at this jeweler. He had called previously, and let them know that he would be coming by to look at a Nomos watch. When we came in, they were busy; however, we were next in line, and the bearded male sales representative bypassed us to speak with an older man. This is very frustrating, as my husband intends to buy one of these watches, and they are unfortunately one of the only dealers in San Diego. We won't be shopping here. Lifetime boycott...

After purchasing an IWC with little issue of the chronograph, they were able to exchange my watch in less than a week(I live in Nor Cal). I am really happy with my purchase.

The whole staff there are very polite and professional. It’s very hard to trust jewelry stores but I have to tell you my experience with the owner and his son were very professional and amazing. They are very trustworthy and I will always shop there. They will always make it right. You have to trust your jeweler. Thank you guys.

Came into CJ Charles Jewelers to get a link added to the bracelet on my Speedmaster. Esteban, one of the sales executives, was super helpful. He had me in and out in under 5 minutes and was very careful with his tools. I’ve had experiences with careless technicians who can’t be bothered with a small job like that and will throw your stuff around. I definitely felt like I was in good hands. Will be coming back in for future services and purchases.
