Amazing auto glass repair shop. They confirmed my appointment, arrived at my work on time, and did an amazing job in a timely manner. The other companies I was referred by my insurance carrier both cancelled morning of my apt. They’re all over the TV so don’t use them, use these guys.

Sometimes it's not how smoothly every thing goes, but how the company handles issues that do come up. I had to have my windshield replaced because of a rock that fell off a gravel truck and left a large star. Citiwide installed a replacement only to discover that it had a few small scratches in it. They replaced it again and then calibrated the cameras for my adaptive cruise control. I can't say enough good things about these good people.Service: Auto windshield replacement

I wonder about the quality of the windshield of the product Citywide installs, and their questionable warranty. My Citywide purchase cracked right down the middle and I thought, no problem, it's under warranty. The mobile installer (Martin/Helio) came out, looking for a fight from the start, with excuses as to why I wasn't under warranty. Showing me a tiny pin-sized scratch near the crack he emphatically refused to listen to any questions about why such a tiny scratch would cause the entire windshield to crack. When I pointed out a huge dime-size dent in his own company van windshield that didn't spit the whole windshield he stated that it was not the same. Martin ended up charging me more to replace this defective windshield than I had payed nine months ago. I asked him to call his supervisor Mark, who never responded apparently.I've learned my lesson never to trust a Citywide warranty as they seemingly always have an excuse to not honor it, and to not trust a Citywide product that is so fragile a single tick fractures the entire window.

I wish I had known about Citywide earlier. Since I bought my 2017 Subaru Outback in June of 2020, I have replaced the front windshield FOUR TIMES!! Yes FOUR TIMES! The shop that I previously used for the first three replacements did not process insurance claims, and I thought that I had a $1,000 deductible, so I figured I wouild be out of luck anyway. The last time that I replaced the front windshield prior to coming to Citywide, the shop I used placed a film on the outside of the windshield that they said would almost eliminate the possibility that my windshield would break again. That didn't happen! It broke again!Enough about my mistakes, lets talk Citywide. I went to the shop on Saturday afternoon, but arrived too late. I contacted them first thing Monday morning, and Rochelle indicated they took insurance. (At that point I figured it would not matter because my deductible was so high.) Rochelle contacted AAA, my insurance carrier, and the payment portion was taken care of before the install. Since my Subaru has all the lane assist garbage that they put on cars now-a-days, AAA said I had to use factory glass, which of course had to be ordered from Subaru. The windshield itself was $1,2000, but it turned out that my deductible was only $250.00! That meant that I would only be out-of-pocket $250.00. I wish I knew that when I was replacing the other 3 windshields! Rochelle said because of a calibration I would have to bring the car into the shop, which was not a problem. On the day of my appointment, I arrived at 7:45 AM, and a very nice gentleman came out of the shop to help me, even though the office staff had not arrived yet, and the business' officially did not open until 8:00 AM. The install and the "calibration" of the lane assist mumbo-jumbo was completed quickly. It felt like I wasn't there more than an hour. The job appears to have been done correctly, and yes the little Carlex printed on the bottom of the glass indicates they did use factory glass.I hope I do not need to bring my car in for another windshield replacement, but with my luck, I probably will. The good news is that Citywide process insurance claims, their customer service is excellent, and they appear to do quality work. If you need a car windshield, and you are in San Diego, bring your car down to Citywide. Even if you do actually have a $1,000 deductible!

In the evening I put a request on Yelp for a windshield replacement. Got two quick replies informing me that they would look at my request next morning. I've never heard from one of the businesses, another business was Citywide Auto Glass, who replied the next morning, clarified some info about the car and gave me a quote, which seemed fair. Later that day, a third place sent me a rather detailed quote, but the price was higher.I scheduled an appointment with Citywide Auto Glass and drove to their location, although it seems they can send a mobile crew if requested. The repair took less than an hour while I walked around, there are several eateries within walking distance.I paid exactly what I was quoted. Friendly staff. So far so good.

I had my eyes on Safelite for a repair to a nickel-sized chip/crack in my windshield. Their quote was quite high, and even higher for what they touted as the "premium" fix. I was at a bit of a loss given I wanted to mitigate further damage but wasn't comfortable forking out that kind of cash.Enter Citywide Auto Glass, and boy...was I blown away by the kindness, professionalism and result.Let me tell you about Mattie, one of the glass techs at Citywide Auto. From the moment I arrive, he engages me in spirited talk about my car - he doesn't waste my time, he's just genuinely stoked about our shared love of driving. As he's evaluating the damage to my windshield, he takes care to manage my expectations, explain the process, and indicate that even where some of the damage is visible, a fix here will mitigate further damage. We talk cars for a quick minute before he shakes my hand, respectfully drives my car into their repair bay, and gets to work.25 minutes later, he drives my car up to the front. When I say I wish I had taken a picture of the before, it's only because I sincerely lament the missed opportunity to share with you how absolutely floored I was with the repair. Imagine my excitement when this young tech, who had adequately managed my expectations, presents a windshield that looks near immaculate. You genuinely could not tell there was damage in the first place (and this was a pretty nasty chip I took from a flying rock traveling at 65MPH).Sometimes it's not about the product itself, but about making a customer feel valued. Not only did Mattie take every step to do his best work on my car, but I felt like a human being - not just a number - throughout the entire process. I mean, look - this guy had me in and out of Citywide in half an hour - he doesn't HAVE to treat me anyway at all with that timeline. Could've just grabbed my keys, phoned it in, and punched a ticket. But he took the time to make me feel valued. If this is the caliber of work and professionalism Citywide encourages, they've earned my business (hopefully not too frequently) for life.10/10, might try and take a rock to the windshield just to visit Mattie again.Service: Auto windshield repair
