My children love this school. The staff is amazing and the teachers are great. The price is very reasonable considering the education they are getting. A review that implies that they are somehow racially prejudice is wildly misleading. I have no affiliation to the school other than being a parent of a student, but that review is absurd. Come to the school and witness the welcoming environment and the diversity of the staff and students. Some people find any reason to complain. We love it and support our school.

I went to this school from Pre K-7 the school over all is pretty nice, they dont value there good teachers and substitute them for not as well trained and mannered teachers this school is nice and for the most part clean i just wish they would better prepare you for highschool, teaching you things that actually matter in the real word but the realest teacher. I have learned from were MR. Luigi and MRS. Nguyen they both taught me the real stuff in the world and were both like mentors to me. City Tree is a good place for if you want your kids to not be ready for highschool and for the real world. another thing to worry about if you were to send your kid to school here is they dont say anything to your parents or guardians if you get bullied they practically refuse to tell your parents... but overall nice school but wouldnt recommend for a long term school

Mislead me all summer!!! Including after talking to Sue the Principal. Sara Delgado misuses her "power" to take application money and after meeting decides if she likes the parent or not, then she states suddenly after hiring new preschool director they don't have any room for my child, though we had full payment since last May and I reminded her this a month before start of school whether it be cash or the PCGUS program. When I met them in early May I did state my child no longer naps but I would work with her all summer to get her to nap per their regs, as they wouldn't take her in summer schedule due to her not napping. All that upheaval in our schedule for nothing! After all that, Sara can answer to God if she plays favorites or not, in allowing into program some innocent children vs others...

We thought this was the school for our daughter, her test scores were great and she reads at a 7th grade level and is in the 4th grade. Excellent student, citizenship, courteous, honest, and of course, African American. But..... of course the perfect candidate for a BULLY!!! She was humiliated by a little girl in her class! She snatched her ponytail off of her head during class! And the teacher had the audacity to put it back on but not contact me or her father to tell us about the incident. The day went on as usual until her father picked her up from school and she told him.....and he called me at work!! I was livid! The principal didn't call and when I called her it appeared that she and others already knew that this child was a bully and disturbed. She said she would handle it, but of course, there was no comfort offered to my daughter and the "BULLY" was the victim somehow because of her previous problems. To make a long story short, send your black kids to a school that will appreciate them and what they can offer. This is a Christian school in a church and I expected a lot more. Its old, dated and not accessible for disabled children. I know children that went here when it was reputable years ago. Choose wisely!!

Two of my grandsons attended City Tree from pre-school through eighth grade. They were well prepared for a rigorous high school experience and well prepared for life. Thank you, City Tree Christian School and community!

I am so grateful to have found this school for my child! I love the small class sizes and enthusiastic teaching staff. Its downtown location is extremely convenient for me and my husband, and I really appreciate the early drop off/after care option for those days when we need to get there earlier or later. The student population is diverse and welcoming. My child was instantly accepted and made to feel at home. The range of extracurricular activities offered is impressive, considering the size of the school. Band participation is mandatory from 4th grade on, music classes are part of the weekly curriculum, as well as Spanish. There are extracurricular service clubs, tutoring, sports, and music lessons if time permits. While City Tree's curriculum is aligned with Common Core standards, the teachers are free to adjust their teaching and strategies to the needs of the children. There is no pressure on the child or teacher to perform to testing standards, and school days are spent learning, with plenty of outdoor time. Most important, however, is that this is a child-centered school where the students are treated kindly & respectfully, and their strengths are nurtured. My only regret is that I did not move my child here sooner!

City Tree Christian School is a gem. Students get art classes, technology teaching, music classes and are challenged to grow the critical thinking in every subject. Computers are available, but they don't try to use them when they aren't the best tool for the job. The teachers are compassionate and caring.

A lovely school to be a part of! My daughter attended CTCS from pre- school to 8th grade, she just graduated a couple of weeks ago. Being a small school allows students and parents to know one another more, the sense of community is great. Academic high standard at CTCS prepares students for a successful transition to high school. As part of the curriculum CTCS offers wonderful opportunities to develop students talents and skills, such as: band, Spanish, performing arts, choir, visual arts, cinematography, technology, home economic, among others. I will recomend City Tree to any family that is looking for a great education and be part of a great community.

5 stars I’ve sent through sons through City Tree—preschool through 8th grade. I’ve been impressed by the personal attention my sons received at City Tree and the friendships they have gained. Love the music program and the affordable before and after school care.
