In the days before the pandemic (2016-2019) this farmers market was one of the best in the city. They had three lanes of vendors open and there were so many amazing options. East African food, fresh fruits and veggies, crepes, sweets, jewelry, a reading tent for kids, etc. I really miss those days. Now it’s just limited to just two rows of vendors with very little selection. It’s temporarily closed but I hope they come back better than ever before. Good luck!

This is actually a really sad farmers market imo. Very small with about 3 food vendors, and 3 veggie stands. The vegetables were expensive and none of the vendors displayed prices so they can pretty much charge whatever they want. The pupusas were popular and had a long line but I think the line was long because they took sooooo long to get them out. 3 women worked that stand but it took 30 freaking minutes for 2 pupusas!!! Just a really sad place to be on a Saturday honestly. I remember it being bigger and better in the past. With all the other farmer markets in San Diego, I won't return to this one.

Fabulous all the time. Go to the back and get the mexican breakfast from the stand in back. Chilaquiles are SO good.

Visited here on a recent vacation in San Francisco. The main farmer's market is held on a Saturday with smaller markets on Tuesday and Thursday. The latter don't give any indication of how big the Saturday market is.

There is no better way to spend a Saturday morning in CA than pottering around this farmer's market. Get your blue bottle coffee and inhale the waft of cooking bacon as you wander around and 'oohhh and ahhhh' at the fresh produce.

Prices can be high but oh so many fresh veggies, fruits and coffee. Can't stop by here without having a cup of ice coffee from Blue Bottle Co.'s kiosk. Try some homemade tamales, pieces of pluots, dips of hummus. You won't be leaving the market empty handed.

I love farmers markets! This is probably the biggest and most amazing farmers market I have been to. After parking and arriving at the market I didn't even know where to begin. The smell of all the food and freshness was amazing. All the produce was so colorful. If I lived in San Francisco I would be there everyday picking up fresh food for lunch, and dinner. We stopped and got fresh cheese, bread, and fruit to take back to our hotel. We enjoyed the scenery of the water and the city. I would definitely be coming back.

This place is great! The produce was amazing and the whole area itself was really fun to walk around in. I'd definitely recommend this!

Local products, as well as snacks, dinners, coffee, and meats and seafood, are all available. Furthermore, the sellers are quite kind and informed about the things they sell. This is a must-see location!

COVID review: City Heights Farmers' Market is pretty small, with only a couple of produce stands. They have a couple of food vendors, too. In normal times, Bikes del Pueblo (see my review) brings a bike repair stand. Hopefully they will be returning to CHFM soon. Tips: - Free parking at Price Garage on 43rd Street. - Follow them on Facebook and Instagram for their fresh picks of the day. - Foodshed's Mobile Market sells produce in front of the City Heights Community Garden from 9 to 11 am on Saturdays. It's located across 43rd Street from CHFM. - Bring cash.
